I attempted to fix my mower on my own when it would start but not run. They fixed my mistakes and cleaned the fuel system completely. As a result, my mower is easier to start than ever before. No surprise charges and no attempts to upsell which I really appreciated. Super competitive pricing and finished in under the time promised by a couple of days. Highly recommend these guys to anyone needing mower/lawn equipment repair or maintenance. read more

The so called manager totally disrespects people. Lacks patience, professionalism and common courtesy. I simply wanted to explain there was a cut wire on my chain saw to save the tech the trouble from trying to start it off the bat, but she didn't want to hear it she just said in constipated look on her face, " just tell me whats wrong with it." I was trying to. I took my item and I'll get it fixed elsewhere. They obviously don't need my business, I'm just a regular guy. A little patience and respect goes a long way in my book. Disrespect me, and I'll never shop there again. read more

Amazing people and very helpful. I have purchased a Stihl chainsaw from them, parts, and most recently got my genreator serviced their and am happy with their service. read more

Can't really speak on the product they sell only the service time. They take forever getting something repaired and don't really communicate that well. I know somebody might reply oh sorry to hear about your experience we strive to be the best but that's just a generic reply in other words they don't care read more

They took too long to fix my generator. I went to them a second time and the gal behind the desk said she wanted $100 just to look at my generator right away. This is the same generator that they had repaired 6 months prior. They know what they're doing, but they won't butch to help you right away. And, they won't refer you to someone else that can help you. The gal wasn't very friendly. I called Cox electric in Chino and Vincent came to my house to repair my generator the next day at no extra charge! read more

Gave them a weed eater to repair and didn't hear from them in a week. Called them and was told waiting on parts. Waited another week called them said they received everything to fix it but still haven't done anything. Not very good service. read more

Big place with a lot of assortments for your mower and saw. I would go back Friendly staff read more

Great place to take any of your equipment in for either tuneup or repair. They also have a great array of new and used lawn equipment. You could purchase at the shop. The young woman and the gentleman that run the front desk tell it to you straight and are very honest and forthcoming. I brought in my power washer my weed whacker my lawnmower and got them working like new for a lot less than if I had to purchase them over again. I brought in my neighbors Weedwhacker and they called saying the repair would not be worth the value of the weed whacker and suggested I buy a new one which I appreciate it. Hate throwing money into something when it's not worth it. I will always recommend the shop and do business with them whenever I need any repairs. read more

Asked for them to fix my lawnmower and it took more than 3 weeks for them to get a part and I called to just go and grab it because I thought it wouldn't be fixed. Magically it was up and running and I was 120$ in the hole. Only to get home same day and it dies on me again. Why was it there if not to be fixed? I ask myself this question read more

We were able to find the gardening tools we had been looking for. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Took my echo hedge trimmer in to service. I had owned it for over 10 years, but had only used it a handful of times. It was time to get it running again. I had heard good things about the shop and wanted to give them my business. Staff was very friendly. Freddie helped matched my needs in the best way. I was very surprised how low the fee was to diagnose the problem, which is rolled into the cost to fix. It was repaired quickly. I took it out for a spin this morning and it is running great! Bottom line is you can't beat the level of personal service a small business can give over the big box players. If you are looking for a business that cares, this is your place. Also, while at the shop I noticed they had a large selection of inventory. I will be back when I am ready for my next purchase. read more

I would give them negative star is possible. I took my pressure washer there and they did a new water pump install. Never worked from day one when I went back to tell them it's not working they never wanted to take blame or at least check it. They charged me an additional $70 just To check it out and tell me it's a bad pump install which they did. They claimed the owner would call me to talk about this issue 6 months later not one call and this pump still ain't working I'll Be posting this on my Ig page as well so all my 30k follower can see what a scam This place is read more

Went there looking for a lawnmower and they were very professional and were able to satisfy my needs with a mower I had been looking for. They carry many different brands and are very knowledgeable on all of the different brands. I will be doing all of my future business with Chino Mower & Engine Service from now on. read more

First time visiting Chino Mower and Engine and it definitely won't be my last! I went in to look for a generator for our travel trailer and loved my experience. In fact, I loved the store so much I'm considering buying all members of my family gifts from Chino Mower for Christmas! In all seriousness, the store recently changed management and the new owner, Freddie, is friendly and knowledgeable about all outdoor equipments needs. I am thrilled and proud to have businesses in Chino who are committed to selling quality products and providing top notch customer service. read more

I recently bought an expensive Shindaiwa Hedge Trimmer from a local dealer in Corona. After just a few uses the choke lever broke making the Hedge Trimmer inoperable without an operable choke. The local dealer ordered another part and said it would take 5 weeks before arriving. I offered to pay extra if could expedite the order. At the end of 5 weeks the local shop said it would take another 5 weeks! Being Korean I had a great deal of difficulty understanding why the delay. He became very belligerent, angry, and loud. I asked for my trimmer back and fortunately was referred to Chino Mower and Engine Service on 13546-A Central AVE., Chino CA. 909 627.2384. Fortunately the owner Freddie Baca was in the store. He quickly removed the broken part and told me he could use an identical part from another machine!!! He had it repaired in 10 minutes and it has been in heavy use since. I can't express how thankful I was for his attentiveness and knowledge. It's a longer drive for me but I'll never go anywhere else for buying and servicing my lawn equipment. read more

This place sucks. If you look online they say they have the part but you need to pick up in store. They make it seem that they have the parts for pick up but when you arrive they state that they will need to order the parts. My bad for not calling before traveling to the store but don't make it seem like you have the parts and then play the game when customers show up. read more

We were looking for a small commercial zero turn mower. Chino Mower and Engine Service had the one we were looking for, so we drove from San Diego to purchase the mower. This place is a class operation! The owner Freddie and his staff were very friendly and helpful. Great buying experience. James W. read more

Talked to Freddy @ closing time. He was super helpful and very knowledgeable on the Husqvarna chainsaw. Because of him I will not badmouth Husqvarna cause that company doesn't seem to care about customer service. Thanks Freddy read more

A local ma and pa shop that specializes in parts for lawn mowers and other lawn care tools. I came here because my rear wheel bolt sheered off my lawn mower. Instead of spending a lot of money on a new lawn mower, I went to Chino Mower and Engine Service to see if they had my part. I walked inside with my part and a older woman assisted me with my question and search. Within a minute she found my part and recommended I by two because if one broke the second might sheer off soon. I said okay because the part was only 2 dollars. That's what I call a great deal instead of buying a new lawn mower. read more

UPDATE...Just noticed the owner replied to my 7.5.11 review...it seems he must have A LOT OF UNSATISFIED CUSTOMERS since his reply and recount of the situation had absolutely nothing to do my encounter with him or his business! I stand by my "0" start rating of his company!!! Hey Floyd you ripped me off for more than $750...is this jogging your memory!!! read more

I was contacted by Freddy, concerning my previous review, and he assured me that he would take care of previous concerns I had with Chino mower I took my chipper back to them and just got it back and they did a fabulous job and I would highly recommend Chino mower and they're back on my number one small engine repair business. Thank you for Freddy and have a successful business oh and keep smiling read more

Went in to have a mower blade sharpened. I'm not a professional gardener, but if I was, this would probably be my go-to. Fast and helpful on the days I went in to drop off and pick up. Only complaint I would have is there seems to be not enough people working the front counter for such a busy place. Otherwise, good service. read more

Complete waste of time. Brought them a carb off a McLane mower, Briggs & Stratton. They could not match up a repair kit or even a new one. My mower is less than 5 years old. read more

I'm sure different people have different experiences with businesses... I'm sure I've left reviews that some people don't agree with. As for the 1 star reviews, I can't agree with those bad experiences from this business. I've bee there a few times and it's always been good! I took my edger in for a service. Was told upfront that it would take a wile, it was the beginning of spring and they had a lot of equipment in for service. I got it back in a week and it was all good. New blade, oil changed, new belt, even washed it. Was very happy with it! Yesterday I went in for a new Chainsaw Blade... The ladies behind the counter were very friendly. Of course the chain I needed was an odd one that they would have to order. I opted to change my setup, Chain, Bar, & Sprocket. The girl worked up a few priced depending on which bar length I went with. She also took the sprocket out of a different kit to get me rolling. I will keep on Shopping here. read more

Guy in the parts dept is a joke! Too lazy to get off his stool and find me a gasket. He said he couldn't find it on the computer. Funny I googled it and ordered it myself . read more

I have been using Chino Mower a lot lately and for a few good reasons: 1.) they more often than not have the parts I need to get my equipment back up and running. 2.) they don't oversell, they advised me what needs to be fixed not what they would LIKE to sell me and the pricing is fair. 3.) knowledgable. Brought them a large Briggs 31 hp twin and they were able to fix it quick where we expected we would have to actually replace the engine which would have been almost 3 thousand dollars. 4.) They're actually pretty charming and fun to talk to :) thanks again Chino Mower, I'll definitely be back!!! read more

Freddie set me up big time with a wireless Stihl Hedger and a Mower that uses the same battery. What a deal I got! The whole staff is very nice and accommodating. Since I had already given my old mower to them a couple of months ago, Freddie gave me another, that was on it's last legs, so that I could turn it in for the South Coast AQMD Rebate. He even printed out the rebate form and guided me where to take it! Just amazing customer service! I am so anxious for the Stihl Blower/Vac to come to market. When it does, I will go back to Chino Mower to purchase it! By the way, that Stihl Hedger slices through our stubborn Hedges with ease, a lot easier than my old corded Black & Decker. The new mower carries a lot of clippings before needing to be emptied. No more breathing exhaust fumes, and both batteries hold plenty of charge. I am very happy about this purchase, and very thankful for the owner and the kind and helpful staff at Chino Mower. Glenn Limina read more

Since Floyd sold this business it has gone downhill. Service is slow, they lack communication and more expensive. They also don't wear masks during the Covid pandemic. I live in Chino and now take my equipment to a shop in La Verne. read more

I called to see about buying a 35 HP vanguard engine to replace the one on my current stump grinder. When I called it a young lady answered the phone and seem to be irritated that I am bugging her at work 15 minutes before closing. I'm sorry but I am paying out more than $2500 for an engine I deserve a little time and respect. read more

Took a chainsaw in that needed a switch replaced. I was quoted a ridiculous $140. I politely declined and said I would pick up my item up shortly. When I arrived I was handed a box with pieces of what used to be my chainsaw. Mind you it just needed a switch, not a full on diagnosis. She pointed out that it stated this on receipt, but she had never pointed it out when I dropped it off. Fair warning to anyone reading this IF YOU DENY the repairs, you will get your item back in pieces. Hope to help someone out, and not be a sucker like me. read more

I ran across the Yelp reviews when doing online research for a new lawn mower, which I plan to buy here. I realized I had never commented on this great dealer. Over the past 10 years, I have bought all my lawn equipment here. Pricing is good, assortment is impressive and the folks are very helpful and friendly. In the past, I had purchased equipment from big box stores and found the stuff just didn't work well. The folks here have helped me buy equipment that is right for my homeowner needs without trying to up sell me. Everything needs parts and service from time to time, and my needs have been met quickly and with a reasonable cost. Even special ordering of parts is straightforward, since they have all my model numbers in their computer. Bottom line, I'll gladly spend a bit more for quality equipment that gets the job done, at a dealer that knows what I need and can keep it running right for years. Compared to the cost of a hired gardener, it's a no-brained for me. read more

I agree with Mr. Brian B horrible customer service a mom and pop shop who needs a major lesson in how to deal with customers. I walk in with a power trim 150 and ask for a quote for a tune up oil change spark plug filter change. The girl says 40 or 50 bucks with a 2 week turnaround. Don't have good feeling about them due to the CS. read more

Floyd your full of shit. The trimmer did not run when it left or you would have tested it for me. I took it to another shop n they had to clean the fuel filter and rebuild the carburetor because when your guy took it apart he got dirt inside which clogged the engine. The unit has always worked at top performance for me until it went to your shop. Plus this other place had it ready in 2 hours n cleaned the entire machine like it just came of the shelf. It now runs perfect! Excuse are like assholes, everyone has one! Fast Lawn Mower is honest, fast and very professional. They are who exactly what I was looking for in what I expected for service. I did not take it back because I no longer trusted your service. read more
