The massages were fine, my only complaint is that when we were checking out the lady who checked us…read moreout, pressured us to leave a tip. As a waitress, I understand the importance of tipping, but only in areas where you are not making an hourly wage. pressuring a customer who is already spending $120 at your salon to leave an additional tip just seems wildly inappropriate. I understand tipping at restaurants, nail salons, and even hair salons, but this seemed a bit excessive. Again, i'm all for having the option to leave a tip, but saying "how much do you want to tip us" after I've already paid seems inappropriate.

This was about the 7th time weve been here. The last 3 times have not been relaxing at all. The…read morelady kept having to answer the phone and have a full blown conversation with a friend/family member and customers who would call and kept walking out of the room to greet other customers walking in during my 1 hr massage (again this has happened the last 3 times we've been there). So after me getting a little frustrated at this point....I sighed and shook my head than She kept telling me "I give you more time, sorry". Needless to say, she didn't give me more time and when the customer called she hurried up and was fast & rough on the remainder 30min massage. So for the $140 1 hr couples massage, I was shorted time and not very happy. They need to get an answering service or a receptionist so it doesn't interfere with customers time that they paid for. A massage is supposed to be a nice relaxing time and this just hasn't been the case the last 3 times. We always tip good but this time they asked for tip...we told them no tip today and explained why and that since our massages got cut short with interruptions of them leaving the room they can use that as their tip. The lady told us don't call and make an appt here anymore. We didn't plan on it after giving them several chances

I can't say enough about Beyond Massage. The space it is in has been used as a massage studio for…read moreseveral years, but fairly recently the name changed and went under new ownership. The difference between the past and present studio is drastic, and I couldn't be happier with the changes. Beyond Massage is located in a small shopping strip center on Porter in Norman. When you enter the door, you are greeted by a welcoming waiting area, complete with nice furniture, calming music, and dimmed lights. It is obvious that this area has been well planned instead of being an after thought, like so many other massage studios. Even though the studio is small, the waiting area gives it a spa-like feel and prepares you for relaxation. The massages are done in individual rooms that are decorated like a typical massage studio. The music selection is nice, and I love the various oils and scents used for my massage. I appreciate the climate isn't too cold, which has happened to me more times than not when visiting other studios. I always feel comfortable and safe at Beyond Massage. The prices are what makes Beyond Massage such a great place. No need to search for massage deals though discount sites and risk having a bad experience. The regular price for a one hour massage is $45! That is $15 cheaper than the average one hour massage. My therapist of choice is Micah. I highly recommend her. Her many years of experience teaching and giving massages makes her the perfect therapist for me. I love her. I haven't had any of the other therapists work on me, but they are always friendly when greeting me at the front or on the phone. Call to make an appointment and see for yourself!
