While visiting family here in town, and being from San Francisco, where we have numerous Chinese restaurants, we wanted to try Chinese food for dinner. We decided to eat at Chinese Garden. When our large group entered the restaurant, the female owner was very accommodating, and friendly. She suggested buffet, and entrees for our large group. Service was prompt, and to my pleasant surprise, the food was very good and tasty. The chow mien, sesame chicken, and broccoli chicken were of good quality, especially for the price of the entrees. Who woulda thunk?! This little hole in wall has amazing fresh, hot food. The owner is great and literally will keep dumping food on your plate. Great service. The little buffet only has like 4 entrees and sides such as fried wontons, egg rolls, etc...BUT all fresh, tasty and nothing sits. Good value and TONS of food. The Chinese Garden is not what you would expect to find in a town of 1400 people on the Dakota Plains. The Crab Puffs were fresh, light and tasty, actually better then any I have had in my neighborhood in New York. Lunch is served buffet style with small portion on the steam table and a meal can be had for $10.00 or less. My Family loves this place the food is so good and the people are so nice that we try to make the drive from Bison South Dakota at least once or twice a month and trust me it is worth the 49 mile drive just to go there. This place is my mom and dads go to the restaurant and I mom and I have to go to Lemmon we make sure that we stop there. read more

Yes it was a buffet but every dish that came hot and fresh from the kitchen was offered at our table side before it hit the buffet line. These folks bend over backwards to keep you happy. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about but that's not why we go out to eat dinner when were working on the road. Every dish offered was fresh and very tasty. Very reasonable prices as well.
