When you Order online it requires your card info but it doesn't charge your card. You still need to pay in store. It was just annoying having to double check that my account wasn't charged twice and I sent my teen to pick it up thinking I already paid for it. The good: Pork egg roll and kung pao chicken The bad: Chicken Fried rice was basically white rice with minimal chicken and veggies. Crab Rangoon had great flavor they even use the thin wonton wrappers however they were hard as a rock. Sesame and orange chicken had good flavor. Unfortunately, the quality is lacking as it's the stringy/chewy chicken. read more

I absolutely do not recommend this place. It wasn't busy at all and we were the only customers there, yet it still took a long time to get our food. While we were waiting, the employee working was yelling at her child in the restaurant, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable. When I finally received my food, it contained mushrooms even though I have a mushroom allergy. I brought it back to the counter to point it out, and the employee rolled her eyes and snarled at me. At that point I didn't feel comfortable asking for it to be remade, so I just left. Overall it was a very unpleasant experience and I will not be returning. read more

Food so delicious you must run to China Wok. After coming here for years, can't believe I haven't written a review! Have always ordered to-go and my experience with phone service, pick-up, and delicious food has always been delightful! We have a few favorites we order continuously as you can see by the photos. The restaurant ambiance is clean and the aroma from the kitchen is fantastic. What more can you ask, delicious food, great service, and easy parking! read more

Very, very average. They have no idea what king pao shrimp is. One and done. Waited 20 minutes longer than first told.

Terrible ambiance. No effort was put into seating and there were only 3 tables (one for a big group of 6-8). You order at the counter with the owner who was nice enough but it was difficult to understand her English. Prices weren't all that great. I would expect lower prices based on the lack of service and comfortable seating. Didn't bring out soup ahead of the other food. No water, you have to buy a bottle. Slow slow food preparation. Plastic utensils. Food was mediocre at best. This is strictly a take out place for mediocre food. Oh and no public restrooms!! read more

I usually order from this restaurant and it's usually good tonight. I ordered wonton soup and an egg roll. Egg roll was put in the fryer and was coated in oil and was not cooked the fried noodles that they gave with the wonton soup or stale and the soup was awful. read more

I like the food at China Wok. They remind me of some of the older Chinese restaurants in the Chinese district in lower Manhattan

I've ordered Chinese food from many, many places all over the country... and I hate to complain, but the China Wok just isn't very good. General Tso's Chicken was tough and overcooked... fried rice just so-so. Won't be going there again read more

I'd heard mixed reviews about it, so I decided to give it a try. The spring rolls were so so. Nice and crispy! But I think I was supposed to get two and only got 1. Kind of soupy on the inside but good flavor. The tofu and broccoli was good! I gave it 4 because my food was so hot is was still hot by the time I got it home (10 minute drive) but overall probably a 3.5. read more

China Wok - 100. Broccoli with Bean Curd yum! - Chinese Near Me - Southern Pines, North Carolina

I'm very surprised at the poor reviews and I'm glad we gave their food a go. It's quite possibly my favorite Chinese food in the pines now. We had egg drop soup, beef and broccoli (the beef was great), egg rolls, and lo mein which was also delicious. The woman working was really friendly and helpful. I really appreciate that they went out of their way to build an entire separate pick up entrance with a window. In the time of covid this shows that they take their customers and employees safety seriously and I can't say that for a lot of other businesses. The food was really good, I'm not sure why the bad reviews, but I hope I can encourage others to support this establishment. read more

Don't order anything from this restaurant. I have been a customer of theirs for over ten years. Every time I order from them, they get the order wrong. The place is run by children. This has to be against the law. It took them three hours to replace my food order. I asked to speak to the manager and when I told him what happened, he said absolutely nothing. No apology, no restitution. He tells me that they delivery guy is on his way. The guy wasn't on his way. They have lost my business. I will NEVER order from them again! Do yourself a favorite and go to another restaurant! read more

I keep trying to want to like this place and help it get a better review and just think maybe that is had a poor start. However I've ordered here multiple times and for one the pork fried rice & general chows chicken are barely Edible at best. There's something about the food I don't like it, the rice taste sour to me like rotten old meat. Both times I've ordered from here I woke up the next day with a sore throat. I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

It's a small, family run place. Food here is more along the lines of traditional Chinese as opposed to the usual sauce-laden American-Asian fare. They use more vegetables than most are used to bc again, it's more traditional Chinese. Delivery is hit-or-miss. Better to just order online/phone & pick-up. read more

I never do this, but I've been so stoked to have delivery since I moved here from Vass that I've let this place slide so many times before writing this review. The steak is cooked like a hockey puck, the fried rice is just like white rice with yellow food coloring- no veggies or eggs or anything. The food is always sub-par, and it's usually (7/10 times) wrong from what I ordered. I've complained twice now in the most polite way, but I still lee getting crap food. I'll just drive to Maguro when I want hibachi. I hope they fix the issues because this is a pretty competitive town. read more

This place sucks. Go somewhere else...anywhere else. There are only two customers here right now, but the three waitresses seem to have forgotten about us. Also, there are kids bare-foot (8 years old, not babies) on the counter. One waitress has a shirt that says "Show Me Your Tits" on it. Never coming back. Food was sub-par even for takeout Chinese standards. read more

So we stopped here on a whim...the fried dumpling were amazing...egg drop soup was just good, and that is pretty much all it has going for it. I have General Tso chicken and hubby has singapore chow mei fun... Both dishes were less than stellar. The phone was ringing off the hook while we were waiting so I am hoping this was a fluke...but honestly prolly won't give it a second go because there are other places that are amazing. read more

Best egg rolls in town. We love the sesame chicken also. The portion size is huge. Enough to share! Plus they will deliver

Every single time we have ordered delivery, they skimp out with half or even quarter filled containers, and burned or old food. They halfway make it up after calling you a liar on the phone, but only after you have to threaten to cancel the credit card charges on them. The Chinese food around here is terrible compared to even Fayetteville, never mind a big city like Raleigh. read more

This restaurant deserves no stars they are so unprofessional the lady that answer the phone is rude today my sister ordered from them and it was delivered the guy that delivered expected my sister to trust him with her money and go get change because he didn't have change then he got smart and said do you want to ride with me he then said well give me the food and I'll go back and get change from the store so we called to see if they could re drop the chicken so her food would not get cold and the lady gets smart and says it's hot outside how's your food gonna get cold my thing is I didn't know that had anything to do with keeping my food fresh anybody knows if food just sits it's not fresh anymore read more

Awful just awful! My coworkers and I order from this piece of shit restaurant they over charged plus they had children taking the orders which they messed up so my coworker paid for her meal and got shitted out her money and food we will never order from here again also the delivery girl steals Dont trust them read more

Awful restaurant. The interior is heinous. The service awful. They messed up my order, and I had to drive all the way back to get my refund because I knew I couldn't l trust that they would give me credit for it next time I came back. Just ate there last night Food Fantastic, tasty, fresh, flavorful Definitively will go back soon read more

Food was great. Ordered through DoorDash. Fast and tasted fresh. First time ordering from them.

I am always one to get Chinese food, it's my favorite, but this was not good! I got the beef lo mein, pork fried rice, egg roll, and crab Rangoon. The egg roll was okay, but the rest was not good at all. I barely ate any of the lo mein it was slimy and no flavor, the rice was okay but just appeared to be out of a box almost, and the crab rangoons had no filling in them! Will probably not eat there again. read more

I ate here a few years ago and swore I'd never go back; however, since my normal place was closed for Sunday and I was craving Gen Tso's chicken, I gave them another try. The food was much better this time. The chicken wasn't too fatty and was cooked just right and had ample sauce. The egg roll was an egg roll, nothing too special. The pork fried rice was also nothing to write home about and was a bit dry. Ordered crab rangoon and it was pretty good, but a bit light on the stuffing. All in all, an improvement from what I remember and I won't be so appalled by eating here again... if my go-to (#1 China) is closed again. read more

The worst, slowest and nasty food I have ever ordered. The food was cold, took over 1.5 hours and was distasteful The only good thing was the delivery guy apologized for the delivery time. Will never order from here again. TERRIBLE. If there was a negative on the stars they would get a negative 5 read more

For the first time in over a year I have a bad review. I ordered online, they didnt get it, I had to call to find that out, Placed the order again it arrived an hour after that! Tipped the delivery man 2 bucks and found out the order was ice cold and sweaty. I was so disappointed!l Tasted like garbage....and they don't make it right. I should have ordered Papa John's pizza instead! read more

The only reason I gave this restaurant one star is because I have to. The only thing edible was the fortune cookie. The chicken was not cooked, the soup was disgusting, and the egg roll barely decent. I do not recommend this place at all! The front desk was extremely rude and gave off a really strange vibe with customers in the restaurant. read more

Great food, they deliver quick and it is really easy to order online. Their delivery drivers are great!

Order took approximately 20 mins waiting. Front desk was very rude and pretended to not understand my order. Added a eggroll to my order at the end and he charged me cash $2.00 but later when I checked the receipt it said $1.10 thats pretty shady. Food was not that amazing but with that service they are definitely never seen a penny from me again. read more

Black People Beware Me and my family visited this deserted china wok in hopes of finding some tasty Chinese food. What we got in return was no service and a racist woman and even the child there seemed to have a distaste for black people. Coming into the restaurant I was surprised with how they did not want my wife to use there bathroom and how they didn't even think to ask for our order. When I told them I wanted to order they took my order and didn't respond at all afterwards . The woman walks away as if I was interrupting her internet session with my order. Afterwards we notice they have a sign offering free internet access, when we asked for the password they responded by looking at each other as if we came there to steal there internet away from them. It took about ten to twenty minutes for us to get the information which by then was provided to us by the mg or owner. She was clearly on the internet claiming she did not know the password and I guess she thought the owner would decline but instead he helped us. However when my wife wanted access as we'll on her computer, they decided to say only one system per family. It took about 45 minutes for out food to be done and though we were eating in house, they gave us a bag and acted as if they were waiting for us to leave. Shortly after a white couple came in an the same woman not only escorted them to a table but gave them menus, tea on the house as well as an appetizer. She spent about ten minutes talking and laughing with them as if she actually knew how to be a good server. It was night and day. I never say this but I hope this restaurants runs out of business and never recovers. read more

Had a craving for a sit down Chinese meal. We were the only one's in the place. Seem like nice ambiance. Clean. Waitress was quick to give us menus and drinks, then from that point on failure. We order Mu Shu Pork to share. She asked if we wanted a combo, we didn't see it on the menu as a combo, but she insisted...we agreed. Two minutes later she was back, telling us it didn't come as a combo. We ordered the Mu Shu, spring rolls, and extra "pancakes". She brings out the spring rolls and no sweet/sour sauce. Seemed to taste burnt. Ok. Then she brings out the Mu Shu platter, but no plates and no pancakes. We ask for plates. We wait several minutes get up and ask for plates and pancakes. Several minutes later she brings a cold plate of cold wonton wrappers. Ok...maybe that's what they use as pancakes. But still no plates to eat off of. She asks if we want refills on our drinks. She brings the refill, but no plates. I give her a look, she says "just a minute" like she understands. 10 or 15 minutes after being served we just start eating using what we have. The Mu Shu tasted burnt and some of the meat looked burnt. And doesn't it usually come with a side of rice? I used a paper napkin as a plate. Almost finished and then she brings the extra pancakes. We sent them back. We never got plates. Got up to check out...no one seemed to be there anymore. Young girl was sitting behind counter couldn't even see her. Eventually she heard us...stood up took our money...we left. Won't ever go back. Looking for Chinese food? Go to Peking Wok in Pinecrest Plaza is much better. read more
