This place has very good Chinese food, it also looks well kept inside and clean. The workers are nice too.would recommend for some good food, specifically the steamed dumplings . read more

Spent over $80 on an online order and was treated with unbelievable disrespect. The employee barely acknowledged me, kept walking away while I was speaking, and when I asked for fortune cookies, snapped, "What do you want? What do you want?" before tossing them onto the counter. It wasn't about fortune cookies--it was the blatant disrespect. He acted like I owed him something when I was the paying customer. Especially in this economy, people work hard for their money and are intentional about where they spend it. I chose to spend over $80 at this business, and being treated like an inconvenience was unacceptable. I absolutely do not recommend China Star. Spend your money somewhere that actually appreciates your business. I certainly will from now on. read more

Food made fast, clean lobby, friendly staff. Flavors sufficed, there were lots of veggies in my vegetable lo mien, and the kids enjoyed the sesame chicken, the rice was just very dry. read more

I am gluten-free. I always order white sauce on my food. Soy sauce is made from wheat. I ask for reg white rice and have never been disappointed. I always tap in a short note when I order online. Explaining what I need. They have the best chicken and vegetables. Loaded with chicken and every kind of vegetables they have. My go to.and always yummy. My spouse loves their combo meals. He says their egg rolls are amazing. Also, the sweet & sour sauce is so good. We have always ordered takeout. The food is always steaming hot when we get it home. We live about 15 min away. read more

The food is good, not great but it will do if you're hungry and don't want to cook. Its clean so that's a plus and they're quick.

Always good food and excellent service. Quick service right as soon as you walk in and normally 10-15mins you're in and out.

This place is our go to for Chinese food!! They are located in spring lake, and their food is amazing, fast, and never wrong!!

This is my absolute go to for quick takeout Chinese. My food is always hot, my order is always correct, and the food is always amazing.

The lady that told me my food was ready, then yelling out "did you pay?" was rude and unprofessional. They are never worth a tip

Perfect for that late night Chinese take out craving. Covid precautions are being enforced and they're pretty quick. Food was overall good and did make good leftovers for the next day. Me and my husband will be eating here again! read more

This place is really good. I'm picky about Chinese food and since moving south I hadn't found a place where I consistently liked the menu. The staff is kind and friendly and I really enjoyed everything I got. I went there pretty late at night, shortly before they close and I was happy that they're located in a well lit shopping center and not some sketchy location in the middle of all the crime in Fayetteville. Yummy and amazing food, awesome staff, and safe location. Give them a chance, you won't be disappointed :) read more

This place is my go to china spot. Quick, easy and good! I've never had a bad experience there and will continue to trade with these folks! read more

Love this place. Used to love their egg rolls but not anymore, only reason I left a 4. They used to make and roll their own, now they use frozen. The old ones reminded me of the ones I used to get as a kid at the place we use to frequent. I miss the egg rolls they use to have. read more

It is okay food. I find the rice to be pretty plain and the crab rangoons are mostly cream cheese. There's not a lot of competition in the area though, and it'll do. They do take covid precautions very seriously which is great. read more

This place is amazing I have been going here for over 9 years & it's the closest taste to NYC Chinese food!

Pure garbage! They use so much MSG, I was throwing up 30 min later, after four bites. Never again!!

The chicken was very good. I asked if they could make it mild (it was supposed to be spicy) and they did without sacrificing any flavor. The egg roll wasn't as crispy as I would like it to be and the rice was too soggy for my taste. The service was good and they had my order ready on time read more

Great spare ribs, egg rolls, ham fried rice, and pretty much any chicken dish you get

China Star isn't a bad joint. You have to keep in perspective what it is. When I go there, it's because China Star is close and I want something that tastes good late at night. There's not a lot of options in that area during the evening. Considering that China Star makes solid food but it takes a while, just go in and order something, do your grocery shopping next door and when you are done the food will be ready. It's just a local Chinese food place, not a 5 star restaurant. It beats the heck out of a TV dinner and it isn't that much. If you are having trouble deciding, China Star won't do you wrong. It's regular Chinese food and it's made to order. Good stuff, but nothing fancy or special. Enjoy. read more

Been here a few times. It's nothing fancy. Taste like Chinese food, better than some that I've had. I haven't had any bad experience such as over or under cook food. read more

China Star - Chicken low mien and fried rice combination plate. - Chinese Near Me - Spring Lake, North Carolina

This is our first Chinese experience here in Lillington, so with nothing to compare it to, I will give it a 3/5 stars and return later if need be. This was a quick stop for my husband after a disastrous meal at Hilltop House in Fayetteville (see my review) left him starving. They were open until 10:30 at night, and our food was prepared to order. The fortune cookies were stale, but since we generally only open them for the fortune, I won't count it against them. I like the fact they offer family style meals (pick three entrees, rice, egg rolls, etc) all served in large buffet tins at a reasonable price. they have a bunch of different sizes and styles. read more

We ordered from there last Monday and it was very good. They take the coronavirus precautions very seriously.

The food is fine, I've gotten from here twice. Don't expect NYC chinese from anywhere around here, but this will do, I liked it much better than other places I've tried. I really just wanted to leave this review to praise their efforts during this Covid19 situation. Employees inside all wearing masks and gloves, and they've created a good plexiglass window pickup system that really minimizes contact. You do still have to sign the receipt, but bring your own pen and you're good to go. read more

Since the owner or whoever moderates this page took it upon themselves to delete my review I'll go ahead and post it again. The food was awful but on top of that this restaurants owners allow their two loud children to run around throwing things across the room. Even hitting my boyfriends father in the head. And they said and did nothing. Absolutely pathetic! read more

I don't ever say this but this would be a zero star review if it could be. I love Chinese food and live near here but normally go somewhere else cause I'm in Sanford a lot. I went here Wednesday night and got take out. Sweet and Sour Chicken cause I wasn't feeling super adventurous. I ate the food and it tasted okay but later that night I got violently ill. It was the only thing I had eaten recently so it had to be that. Just awful. That made me super sick and I'm extremely disappointed. The next day was Thanksgiving and I didn't feel good all day. Nasty food & people, if you can find another place to eat. The food was awful . The lady/ girl the take the orders is the worst

Food was horrible. I found hair throughout the meAl. It didn't even taste good. Very bad excuse for Chinese food. Customer service not good. I was being rushed the entire time & cashier was rude. read more

Quality of food was not up to par. Everything was overly greasy. Additionally, the prices were a little high. This is the closest Chinese restaurant to me, but I won't be going there again.....but it was better than the Jin Jin place down 210. read more

Our go to Chinese takeout restaurant. Always fast and friendly! Typical Chinese menu, but good!

Please, save your taste buds. I know it's take out....but it's bad food for even worse prices. Had it once bc it's the only Chinese close. Won't be visiting again. Not to mention the lady at the counter was so rude- too busy chatting on her phone to answer a question I had to ask 3 times before getting more than a stare. read more

The food is great and the staff is really friendly. Pricing is good too. The food doesn't WOW me or else I would have put another star on here. It's good Chinese food to bring home. read more

I have tried so many Chinese food restaurants in the area, and this is the best place out of them all. I see people gave negative reviews, but I actually love the food. I have never had a bad meal here. The staff has always been friendly. One time they forgot my egg rolls and the lady came running out to the parking lot to bring them to me. It's convenient and yummy! My out-of-town guests enjoy it too :-) read more

I almost always get the same things, sesame chicken and sweet and sour chicken and they are very consistently good. A great place to stop if you just don't feel like cooking read more

I went here for a quick order of crab rangoons. I got there and placed my order and asked how long it would take. The gentleman told me that it would take ten minutes. I went next door to the Food Lion and stayed a good 5-7 minutes. I got back to the restaurant, and when I walked in, the lady who took my order told the gentleman who was cooking to make my food. Mind you, 5-7 minutes had passed since I actually ordered, and the restaurant was not busy at all. Then, when my food was finally done, the lady gave it to me, and I said, "Thank you." She said NOTHING. I said, "THANK YOU!" again, louder, and she looked at me and finally mumbled something resembling "you're welcome". I got to my destination and opened the food, and it was terrible. Every other Chinese restaurant I have ever been to has crab rangoons filled with crab meat (or imitation crab meat) and cream cheese. These had a little bit of crab meat and they were mostly filled with rubbery, cheap-tasting, stringy cheese. I only ate two bites and had to throw the rest away. Never again. read more

Service is always good! Been coming here for six yrs now. I will love for them to make deliveries.

Your typical take out Chinese restaurant. You get exactly what you expect, so I like it. Not a pf Changs but better than most buffets. Wide menu selection. read more

It's take out Chinese, what do you expect? Their food is good, affordable and always quick service. No complaints.

sometimes its really good and some times its meh, depends on who the chef is that night I guess

The only thing this place has going for them is location; there isn't a lot of options in the area. The prices are high especially for color by numbers Chinese food. read more
