The egg rolls and fried chicken are a big favorite, I tried their sweet and sour pork with fried rice and absolutely loved it. Their fried rice if flavored appropriately, not salty and not overly greasy. They use long grain rice that is fully cooked, not overly greasy cooked or dry. Unlike other places I've tried, their rice isn't undercooked or overcooked and they don't use meat and seasonings to hide it. Their combination of cooking the rice, meat and seasonings are perfect. We did not dine in, but did sit in while waiting for our food to be prepared. The tables are spacious, clean, and open. Thank you for the amazing food, and making my first experience with New York style Chinese food being a favorite.

The lunch specials are an excellent deal, and the combination plates are huge portions. Both my mom and I get two meals out of the combination plates. Everyone in Hemingway must know about and love this restaurant, because it's been packed each time I've been, and the phone rings steadily. Nevertheless, the service is quick and efficient. My husband and I visited recently when visiting my mom. We ordered hot and sour soup, general Tso's chicken, egg rolls, a shrimp roll, and hunan shrimp. The combinations come with pork fried rice, but I requested vegetable fried rice, and it was correct. My mom frequently orders food here and asks for no mushrooms, and her orders are always right as well. She enjoys the pepper steak, and I like any shrimp dish. The shrimp are HUGE. New Dragon was some of the best takeout Chinese we've had, even compared to the options in Charleston. They don't have a website or online ordering, so I recommend grabbing a menu inside when you go and calling future orders. Also, remember to grab plastic spoons and forks if you need them.

First off the BBQ SPARE ribs are deep fried for reheating opposed to how they should be done under the salamander. But what really pulled on my last nerve was I ordered the happy family which I've had many times before here a great dish. Lobster, shrimp, chicken, beef and pork with Chinese vegetables. $19 and change with tax ( that's not my complaint I get this economy). Ok no lobster they use Langston lobster which is crawfish not lobster and imitation crab meat which has never been in this dish.
