But, upon my return, I did end up paying for the services, and I did have to pay an additional $3, because I was using credit card. And then she asked if I was going to be paying for the tip cash, almost as if she is expecting a tip. Regardless, I did end up giving her a $5 tip on a $68 massage. I do not have a lot of money, I am on a project and have yet to see any money after 2 weeks. Then, she looked at me and asked me if I have ever had a massage before. I told her that I have, and then she asked if I was unhappy with her services because of such a small tip. I think I gave her an evil look and I explained to her that I did not have any more money. Unfortunately, she doesn't know what situation I am in, and asking that question the way she did, was very irritating and upsetting. So, beware.

Not your average massage therapist -- and thank goodness for that…read more He doesn't just go through the motions; he listens -- not only to you, but to your muscles, too. When I came in nervous about my recently operated-on shoulder, he approached it with total respect and care. He never rushed or brushed off my concerns. Instead, he tuned in, adjusted, and worked with both what I said and what my body was saying. He's amazing at what he does: no fluff, no nonsense -- just results. And somehow, he still manages to keep things light and genuinely funny, even while working through those tough spots. I left feeling heard, understood, and about ten pounds lighter (in muscle tension). If your body's been through some stuff, this is the therapist you want on your team.
