While they have come the closest to the right combination of sweet, tart and spicy with the sauce, the sauce seemed more of a superficial coating...not marinated into the chicken as usual. Broccoli is also customary and there was none included. Dinner portion size was only average and the rice portion was rather small. Disappointment at a premium price. **UPDATE** Much better the second day after the chicken breading had a chance to absorb the sauce. One star was added for those who have the patience to save your order for the second day. Back to small rice portions, every Chinese takeout I have ever had in this lifetime has included the familiar small cardboard rice container *packed* with rice. In this case, both fried and white just barely reached the top of their respective containers. No big deal, right? It's just a few cents worth of rice, right? No. Repeat business is about exceeding expectations based on what is customary in your market segment, not just barely meeting them. A few cents of rice is trivial, but it did cost them a mulligan on the General Tso's and a possible future visit to try something else.

As soon as I tasted it, I suspected it wasn't real crab meat. There is a distinct smell with imitation crab and it's often used because it's cheaper. This crab also was rubbery and had thin lines in it. I asked the server if they used imitation crab and she said no, but I have a hard time believing that. The smell was so disagreeable that it ruined the rest of the meal, which was cold. This will probably be the last time I come here because there are too many other Asian and Thai restaurants arhat serve better food.

It was a dreary Friday night and Chinese food from one of our long time favs seemed in order. We…read morewere seated by the huge fish tanks which we love and greeted by our friendly waitress. She brought us a pot of tea and some hot sake that was kept warm in a tea pot filled with warm water which was really great. She also brought a beer that we had to open and pour which seemed odd since they have a full bar. I started with some hot and sour soup that arrived lukewarm at best. The flavor was good with just the right amount of heat but it definitely needed to be warmer. Our main entrees were the shrimp, chicken & scallops with garlic sauce and vegetables; the eggplant and shrimp; and the healthy steamed chicken with broccoli. It really pains me to say this but all three dishes were not served hot and the sauces were really not heated through and the flavors were so disappointing - nothing like the Chen's we knew and loved. The veggies in the first dish were raw and hard peppers and onions and carrots and the broccoli was very raw and barely even heated in the healthy chicken dish. The shrimp were very good and the eggplant was tasty. Maybe there is a new chef or this was just an off night. Very disappointing meal, we are sorry to say.

We always leave with leftovers from their large portions and we have never had a bad server here. The restaurant is filled with fishtanks and they have the cutest koi pond outside.
