I've been on the hunt for a good Chinese restaurant in Spartanburg, and I thought I finally found one....until I had the worst lunch experience I've ever had in my 23 years of life. I originally planned to grab a salad from Manny's, but decided to give China Delight a shot after trying their delicious eggrolls. So, I ordered the chicken wing plate with chicken fried rice and a Coke. When I opened the container, I was stunned to find white rice instead of fried rice, paired with eight poorly fried, flavorless chicken wings. This was during my lunch break, so I didn't have time to waste. I added some soy sauce to the rice, but it didn't help at all. The chicken was bland, overcooked, and seriously lacked seasoning. I work next door, so it's pretty disappointing to know I'll never be eating here again. If I could give this place zero stars, I would.......but since that's not an option, I'll settle for one. The food was bad, and the service wasn't much better.......attitudes were awful, and it really shows in the quality of the food. read more

Best Chinese food I've had in years!! And I am PICKY. I was hesitant to try this place based on the low ratings but I was desperate for moo shu vegetable which I haven't been able to find anywhere around here. It was SO delicious!! My husband had the Szechwan chicken and said it was one of the best he's had too. We will definitely be ordering again soon! Wanted to try something new came here and ordered to go. The crab rangoons have little to no stuffing in the very large wonton maybe like a quarter size of filling about that thin too. The chicken is mushy and stringy. The shrimp is like mush. Not to mention I spent 35$ on all of it with no drink included! Absolutely disappointed. I ate 3 bites and I'm over it. We have been here twice now and loved it both times. I had Sweet and Sour Chicken and Honey Chicken. both equally good. Husband got the General Tso, and said it was fantastic. Service could use some work. Not very inviting or friendly. read more

I place my order online and then pick it up at the drive-up window. My extra request (chop sticks .mustard etc.) are always in the bag ! I think the food is good, and is better than other fast Chinese restaurants in BS area. They're always consistent with great taste, portion sizes, and low prices. read more

My ride rice was so white I went back and asked if it was fried and he told me it was and offered no sort of solution to my issue. I order chicken and broccoli. This is the best place to get Chinese food. I have been here with my family and we enjoy everything, food was great, and the place is clean. I have been to other Chinese restaurants around boilings springs but they are not as good as China Delight. If your around, go to china delight, and you wont regret it. Awful, awful food. (smelled good and that was about it) First off, black, long, hair in the egg foo young...Egg Shell in the fried rice. The wonton soup was so salty we had to pour it down the drain. What a waste of money! I would never, EVER eat from this dump ever again. I was already reluctant but I am always open to hole in the wall eateries. Sorry! I have had a couple of the vegetarian dishes and they were very good. My favorite so far is the Szechuan Bean Curd (tofu). The veggies are fresh, the tofu is deep fried and the sauce is sweet, but not too sweet. The dinner portion is very large. You will not leave hungry. They have a lunch buffet, but I have not tried it. The selection is not huge, but enough of a variety to please most people, I would think. Funny story, one time I ordered a tofu based dish and they must have been out of tofu. One of the guys working there left and came back from a grocery store with a pack of tofu. I gotta give them credit for not simply saying I have to order something else because they were out of tofu. You do not have a waiter. You pay for your food when you order and they bring it out to you. You throw out your trash when you are done and the drinks are self-serve. By they way, the drink machine never seems to have a lot of carbonation, so the colas are kind of flat. Prices are about average for a Chinese restaurant (about $7-9 for most dishes). I see that this restaurant has 2 very bad reviews. I have not had any bad experiences, so I have to disagree with them. The food is fine, but it is not gourmet. It's cheap, fast Chinese. The decor is very bland (lots of white walls) but it is clean. I'll keep coming here as long as they keep up the quality I have seen so far. read more

We frequent here as its right next to where we live, I ordered the chow mein and it was nothing like I had ever seen. When I went back to make sure it was the correct order he told me yes and he didn't have any solution for me other than to order and pay for whatever else I wanted. Yuk. First and last from this place. Shrimp fried rice was bland and tasteless, the broccoli chicken was just that, no sauce at all. And the sweet and sour chicken......the sweet and sour sauce was a very pale pink. Must have been watered down. Hope I can find a good Chinese place in Boiling Springs. read more

I had General Tso's with white rice and crab Rangoon. The chicken was occasionally crunchy in a way I don't usually associate with chicken. Too much breading, maybe? idk. The Rangoon had hardly any crab filling and the actual pastry was rather tough. I strained my jaw to finish chewing the first one and ended up ripping off excess around the filling of the second, leaving the extra uneaten. As for the rice, I was thankful I didn't feel like bothering with chopsticks because it didn't stick together the way white rice is supposed to. All in all, the presentation was very poor, although the flavor and service were decent. read more

Should have read the yelp reviews! When it first opened many years back, it was very good. Slowly but surly it has gotten to the bottom of the barrel. I just tried again for my birthday, and boy was I disappointed. No taste, except a bad one. Hardly any chicken in the Cashew Chicken. And to top it off, I was overcharged two dollars! Live and learn.
