At first, China City doesn't seem as enticing or attractive compared to the restaurants next door. However, the food is brilliant and the staff are always helpful and polite.
When you are greeted with the staff, they always look bored. They hardly smile and when they do it's only for a short second. Besides that, having looked at the menu, prices are reasonable and service is pretty good. They have a wide range of starters as well as main meals. Their deserts however could be improved. I ordered chicken noodle soup which is absolutely delicious. It warms you up from the inside and is perfect to eat at any time. Then I ordered salt and pepper ribs which was also very good despite the fact that they do have a decent amount of fat on them. They also have a lot of salt on them. Next up was sweet and sour pork with egg fried rice. The pork dish was a burst of flavours. The sweet sauce mixed with the pork was an unbelievable taste.
The desert was vanilla ice cream with a wafer tube embedded inside laced with chocolate sauce. In summary, the desert was nothing too special.
Overall I would say China City is a brilliant place to go with family and friends. It may have a few flaws, but nothing too major. read more
