We couldn't get anyone to come out during the holidays unless we wanted to pay exorbitant amounts of "emergency hours" costs. Just as I was about to give up on the water heater, I made a desperate call to Gilbert Plumbing. I still feel bad about the way I must've spoken to Lance when he promptly returned my voicemail that morning. Nevertheless, he was overly patient and accommodating. I wanted to avoid having yet another contractor come out to look at the set up and pitch me a bid that was way outside reasonable to replace a standard 50 gallon water heater. Lance cut right to it. He told me the price over the phone which was right on par with what I was expecting to pay. I asked about scheduling fully expecting to be at least 2-3 weeks out, but he said he would squeeze me in that afternoon. I was completely beside myself thinking it had to be too good to be true. Lance asked me to send him pictures of my current setup so his installer could make sure he had the necessary parts before he arrived. Sure enough, the installer showed up in the early afternoon with everything he needed. It took him a whole 45 minutes and my water heater nightmare was fixed. I gladly sent the agreed upon amount to Lance via Venmo. My showers are hot and I am no longer losing sleep worrying whether or not the bottom was going to fall out of my water heater flooding my basement. If you need a plumber, you should call Gilbert first.

Gary and his crew ,Greg and Mike, were not aware that my wife has been in the hospital with pneumonia and I couldn't bring her home to a house with no heat. They stayed way after hours to get heat back to my house. They did this just because they are quality people and not because they knew of our medical difficulties. Greg was amazing and thanks to mike for coming and helping after he was done with his normal work day. I'm sure Gary has a lot of important things to do running the business but he came on site to help get things done. I would recommend Gary Ricks to anyone. The fellas they sent worked quickly and described the issue along with giving some tips on how to prevent the issue from reoccurring. When Josh arrived he got right down to work and replaced my faulty circuit breakers. He also found an old problem with an exposed wire that had been hidden with electrical tape and fixed that.
