Sadly Giovanni passed away a few years back but the restaurant is still going strong. There was a period when they stopped selling pizzas and opened a pizzeria next door. I think they were trying to keep then main restaurant more a la carte, however in my opinion this alienated a lot of existing customers. The pizzeria was nice but did not have the nice atmosphere of the main restaurant and we were usually the only people eating in there. I am very glad that they have closed the pizzeria and reinstated pizzas on the menu, they have also refurbished the restaurant and it looks a lot more modern and family friendly. The food is a wonderful as ever and the service is brilliant. I cannot fault them at all and I am pleased to be able to eat in the main restaurant once more!

The produce here is fantastic and you can tell there's been so much love and attention put into every single product. The chicken liver pate is really nice here and full of flavour and I would also highly recommend purchasing on of their quiches to take home and have with some nice salad. They've just opened a small cafe on the side that compliments the deli and serves a great selection of sandwiches and (my favourite) pork pies.
