I can't begin to count the countless hours spent at ice rinks over the past years so I can tell you with great confidence that the chiller facilities around town and preempt much the top of the class. Their ice is always groomed nicely, the locker rooms are clean, and there is always ample room for tHe parents to stand around as their children play the sport they love. This particular location has a great concession stand and the facility is located minutes from Easton shopping center. The only thing I would like to see is some sort of pro shop setup for last minute needs. This would come in very handy if your son/daughter forgets a certain set of pads of needs a mouth guard that was misplaced - "I swear it was in the bag!" I forsee our family coming bacK many times to the chiller so keep up the good work!

I had my girlfriend get her skates sharpened here and the Manager Jason did a really nice job on them. We don't go skating to often as we are a little older so it was nice to take a Friday off and go to the noon skate. It was a nice fun and relaxing activity.

This is probably the 2nd best ice facility in Columbus, with Chiller North being the 1st, especially with them putting new ice on their rink 2 this summer. The Easton Chiller also offers speed skating lessons, which I haven't seen at any other rink. The Pro Shop is okay if you're looking for the basics, but stick to Hockey Stop or Perani's if you're looking for the good stuff. Friday Night Meltdown is a good public skate, but it's definitely crowded, mainly with the 6th grade to middle school variety.

Ice skating is so much fun!

The Chiller is a pretty cheap, fun excursion! I am not a pro at ice skating but loved the experience. Public skate can get kinda crowded. You can ALWAYS find coupons online!!!

What an eye sore.

Good times letting the little ones try it out. Everyone is friendly and seemingly safe with what looks like controlled chaos. Thumbs up

Go there for hockey games and practices. It's better than most rinks but ice can sometimes be a little rough.

If you go toward the beginning of open skate, it's easier to get open rink space, as it fills up toward the middle of the period.

Nothing special going on here but 10 year Olds skating and a couple middle aged men trying to show off to there wife's. Pizza is ok for a place like this. This is a very small facility; I've never seen a smaller roller rink. There should have been a cap of how many people allowed in, because it made skating and just moving around inside so difficult. Everything looks at least 30-40 years old here, our booth was wobbly and unstable. The carpet was old and stained. It was very challenging to move around on the carpeted areas, but also the rink, due to the extreme number of people in the building. I felt like I was in a packed bar or club. I can't overstate that there were way too many people and children. The rink itself is painted concrete, which I've never seen before. It is somewhat uneven, you can feel the small rises and falls in the concrete, but it's not too severe. There were A LOT of children with the little PVC skate-aid things, but skating as an adult was made extremely challenging & nearly impossible because of this. The music they played was fun, and there was some interactions from the DJ, like a backwards skate only, and "all girls only skate," and then "all boys only skate," for a song each. I did like that there are ceiling fans over the rink, to cool you down. The ceiling felt really low, which I think made the whole place feel even smaller. The bathrooms were pretty clean and well stocked, but I didn't like that there were no hooks on the bathroom stall doors. They did let me bring my water bottle in, which I appreciated. There were lockers, but we didn't rent one. Overall, this place is probably fine if you're a kid, but terrible if your an adult skater looking to skate. Go to United Skates or America on Refugee instead!!

This place is off the hook. Me and my buddy went here to celebrate his detox from antibiotics. This…read morewas a huge win for Craig as he had a gunky pink eye and required 7 days on penicillin. Doc mentioned drinking on this medicine could make things dire. This is a super long time for him to not drink as his attention demanding shitzu takes up most of his responsibility. After we entered the doors of this place, an immediate weight got lifted off Craig's shoulders. He felt a thing he hasn't felt since an early 2000's Applebee's... and that thing is called ambiance. We did a few laps around this rink and for a moment we felt what it was like to be alive. My buddy couldn't stop telling me how much this reminded him of the good old days. The ice is perfect as it makes you feel like you're in one of those "Disney on Ice" shows, and honey it's like you're the main character. The only reason this didn't get five stars was because my buddy Eric had a close call with a rabid frog when he was a kid here in the parking lot.

Alright, stick with me regarding why I'm giving five stars…read more Our daughter has been taking ice skating lessons at the Ohio State rink for nearly a year. The classes are some of the most affordable in the area and come with rental skates and a pass for open skate. The first class, toddler course, has five teachers and they are all really great with the little ones (which I admire as I could not be with that many little kids learning to skate all at once). As you continue to take classes here and attend the open skate you can tell that there is a community here and a sense of pride over this being "their rink" for the families that come here and the kiddos. This is also the rink where the D1 Women's team currently plays and while I agree with the other reviewer they should get an upgrade it is fun to see the kids at the games and knowing that they too skate there. On particular nights, especially Friday if there is open skate be prepared for lines as the college students do come out of the woodwork and skate. The staff is all friendly, often into skating or club hockey if you go for a few weeks or take a class they will start being familiar with your face. So, while yes, this rink is a bit dated and could be upgraded it still receives a five star from us due to the community feel, friendliness and accessibility.
