I had an 8 o'clock hockey game at this chiller. Now my team usually plays at chiller north but I didn't think much of it though we are playing in Easton once we got there there was a lady standing outside and she said it's not open yet so me and my friend decide to head back to our car and wait a little bit 15 minutes go by nobody my friend eventually calls chiller north chiller North pick up the phone and they said we check who's supposed to be over there. They call us back three minutes later they say the person that's supposed to be at Easton didn't pick up the phone it's 730 our games at eight but eventually 10 minutes later this person finally shows up and everybody that was waiting yell at him. I hope this person gets fired. read more

As a non-pro skater, I always love coming to the Chiller with a few friends and taking advantage of the open skate time. The Chiller is split into two sets of "ice"? (excuse my evident lack of hockey knowledge). One set, when in session, is used for open skate. The other side, or both sides at times, are used for hockey teams, ice skaters, professional use, etc. As far as the prices go, not too bad. I enjoy the Friday Night Meltdown offered here, it's two and a half hours of open skate time for $10 which includes skate rental. The facility is decent, a little outdated which isn't a problem. The concession stand is pretty outrageous, the prices are a little jacked but then again, it's not the food you're there for so the complaints can't be too massive. Beware though, it can get VERY busy with this being in Easton. Not only the traffic outside, but the traffic on the ice! Sometimes the place is crawling with middle school boys and girls hugging all over one another on "dates", fun sight, they don't bother much. It's a good area, just high amounts of traffic. read more

I can't begin to count the countless hours spent at ice rinks over the past years so I can tell you with great confidence that the chiller facilities around town and preempt much the top of the class. Their ice is always groomed nicely, the locker rooms are clean, and there is always ample room for tHe parents to stand around as their children play the sport they love. This particular location has a great concession stand and the facility is located minutes from Easton shopping center. The only thing I would like to see is some sort of pro shop setup for last minute needs. This would come in very handy if your son/daughter forgets a certain set of pads of needs a mouth guard that was misplaced - "I swear it was in the bag!" I forsee our family coming bacK many times to the chiller so keep up the good work! read more

For someone who doesn't ice skate often, this place was very welcoming! We came during special event for 1 dollar free skate for a couple hours which in my case was more than enough for a novice like myself! The workers were helpful in us getting our skates and asked us often if they fit. I like how clean the facilities were despite it being about 100 people there! I had a great time (I feel once). There are two sitting areas adjacent from each other. So if you needed a rest, you could stop there. 4 stars for keeping the service moving nicely, and keeping the facilities nice! I had my girlfriend get her skates sharpened here and the Manager Jason did a really nice job on them. We don't go skating to often as we are a little older so it was nice to take a Friday off and go to the noon skate. It was a nice fun and relaxing activity. read more

Chiller's open skate is a great workout! After skating for an hour my legs were wobbly, it felt like I had sea legs. They play fun music to skate around the rink to. The staff could have been more helpful in directions on what to do. We didn't know where to change our shoes, or put our stuff. We didn't know where to turn in our skates when finished. Chiller Ice Facilities is fun for a night out with friends, or for parties. Go for fun times, a great workout, and good music to listen to! read more

The women's shower facilities at Easton are horrible. There is only one shower for a locker room full of women and girls from all different teams. This shower only has hot water about once every 3 months. read more

This is probably the 2nd best ice facility in Columbus, with Chiller North being the 1st, especially with them putting new ice on their rink 2 this summer. The Easton Chiller also offers speed skating lessons, which I haven't seen at any other rink. The Pro Shop is okay if you're looking for the basics, but stick to Hockey Stop or Perani's if you're looking for the good stuff. Friday Night Meltdown is a good public skate, but it's definitely crowded, mainly with the 6th grade to middle school variety. read more

I wanted to do something new with my daughter when I realized she had never been ice skating, so to the Chiller we went. Love the location. The entire staff was awesome. Very nice and accommodating. We got our skates, laced em up and away we went. Now, my old behind hasn't been ice skating for good 10 years, and even then it was only once so take my opinion for what it's worth (I'm no Nancy Kerrigan). The skating rink is big and THANK GOD there is plenty of room to skate along the edge so you can hold on if you're a beginner (which I gladly did). But after about 30 minutes of skating I noticed a pretty big change in the ice. The divots from the ice skates were everywhere making it extremely easy for your skate to get stuck and make you fall (at least around the edges of the rink). If it weren't for this issue I would have def given it more stars but falling over the age of 30 is not a thing I like to do. Hell, I have to pray to God to help me up. I did have fun though and my daughter loved it. I'm sure we'll be back....maybe on a day you're not soooooo busy. Munchkins were EVERYWHERE!! read more

As a whole the Chillers are the best hockey experience I've ever had. For comparison I've played in 5 different leagues in 2 states. The facilities are clean, and in good repair. The games start on time and and schedules are adhered to with a minimal amount of changes. I have some issues with individual ref's (but who doesn't) The Easton rink is my third favorite of the Chillers (Dublin, Powell, and Icehaus - I've never been to the 'new' Worthington rink). The ice is good and there's plenty of parking. And it's great location for places to go after for beers. They have an International size rink too, so be prepared to skate a whole lot! read more

I'm really disappointed in the chiller facilities because they don't offer more sticks and pucks for adults. Growing up outside of Ohio in a very hockey focused state, they had sticks and pucks whenever there was open slots in the schedules. Here they offer it just once a week at only one location. It's a joke because there not providing enough time to hockey players who just want to skate and shoot, plus there missing out on profits because everyone in the city wants to do it. Very disappointed in these facilities dominating the area. It's not the way hockey rinks should be run. read more

Go there for hockey games and practices. It's better than most rinks but ice can sometimes be a little rough.

This is a fun place to go on a hot Saturday afternoon. It's cool in the rink and the open skate isn't too pricey. If you go toward the beginning of open skate, it's easier to get open rink space, as it fills up toward the middle of the period. Sometimes you have to watch for kids hot-dogging around on the ice, but I've never had a collision. The staff is friendly and they will work with you if the first pair of skates you rent isn't quite right. You can rent figure skates or hockey skates for the same price. read more

I don't know how other people here have left such 'good' remarks of this facility, but I have lots to say about this one. And BAD ones. I visited this place on Saturday with my sister and cousin. The price - $8 for adults and $7 for students - wasn't cheap, in my standards, including skate rental which is $3. But who cares about that amount of money right now, we are here to have some weekend fun, and I only see them like once in a year. However, soon as I got the rental skates, I was DEEPLY disappointed. What they gave us were not skates. I don't know, would you call some rainboots with blades attached with insufficient lacing a skate? I wouldn't. I have been skating for quite a while, (hockey and speed skating) and I know pretty much about skates, and I have NEVER seen skates like this. I asked for hockey skates in the hopes that it would be different. HELL NO, again, it's the same rain boots with blades attached. So we put on the skates, went on to ice. Jesus Christ, obviously those were not meant to be skated. You can freaking FEEL that you are standing on blades with your feet. You can't even get your feet straight up because, how would you expect rain boots to give your ankle enough support? I skated for like 3 minutes and my feet started hurting, and I couldn't even perform basic skills like crossover, because these freaking rain boots are not meant for you to skate on! The problem is, this company or whatever, owns every single ice rinks in Columbus area. They don't need to spend money on skates because people here have no choice but to go to these 'killer' rinks. With that being said, this rink is even crowded - very much. But seriously, those rain boots can cause injuries to you. They should REALLY REALLY get some legit skates. read more

While people are watching the hockey game, or parents waiting for their kids to finish practicing on the ice, no one is wearing a mask. There is no social distance rules in the facility and it is indoor. The person in the front desk said if you don't feel comfortable with people not wearing masks, you don't need to take your kids to the rink. I think this is a very irresponsible answer, considering that Ohio is at level 3 with COVID-19 right now. Franklin county requires everyone to wear masks, and one of those rules is to wear a mask in an indoor space that isn't your residential home. If you don't wear a mask in places such as Costco, then you will be asked to leave. Ice skating at Chillers is a great way to spend your weekend. It's fun for the whole family. It's cheap if you have your own skates. I even like how there are lots of places to eat nearby in case you're tired and hungry from all the skating. It's especially fun to watch the Saturday night hockey games they play at 7:30. I've always wanted to be a hockey player, and Chillers is helping me with that. I can't think of anywhere else to go for a good time for all you Winter-lovers out there. read more

Not the fanciest ice skating rink, but it's a reasonably priced excursion for a family or a group of friends. It can get a bit crowded with teenagers and under, especially on Friday nights and the weekends. The facility is well maintained and the ice tends to be of pretty good quality. read more
