I've had a few issues getting things covered with an out of state prescription under my new medical plan but they've been able to get it fixed. It really depends on who's working. Some of the staff seem more willing and able to help than others. When I had some minor outpatient surgery last month my doctor sent over three scripts and they were filled by that same evening. I was impressed with that and hopefully things continue to go smoothly.

They have a super cheap drive through car wash where you used to be able to get a wash basically for free with a fill-up (due to a reduced pricing on fuel/gal with wash incentive). But it was one of those "you get what you pay for" sort of washes and was recently closed indefinitely. Probably too many people complaining about vehicle damage and the owner decided it wasn't worth the liability. The convenience store inside is a little crusty, run down, and overpriced (not to mention the clientele are a revolving freak show). But this is really nothing atypical for the area. Works just fine in a pinch/rush. Especially if you are looking for lotto tickets, cheap gas station speed, or crack pipes.

Done with business meetings in Detroit. Wanted a great steak sandwich (sub). Love Buscemi's, I hit…read moreit every time I get to Detroit, which is not often enough. My wife first took me there in 1985. We had to go up to Detroit for a funeral. She grew up in Roseville so we always went to the one on 10 mile and Gratiot. This location was close to my hotel so I went by figured I'd grab a sub on the way to the airport. I had never been to this location before but they said they made steak sandwiches so I said give me a large one with everything on it which to me includes lettuce, tomato and banana peppers. The lady working behind the counter took outstanding care of me. She said it would take 10 minutes. I told her no problem you can't rush genius. We both laughed. She packaged this thing up nicely and I was out of there probably in less than 10 minutes. To say she took good care of me, felt like I was one of her kids cause that was the way my mom took care of me when I was little. I had to run a couple of other errands and finally got a chance to bite into it about 30 minutes later. Outstanding doesn't say enough. Definitely will hit this location again. Pro tip, if you're in the area, Saint Clair Shores has a great bakery, Bomarito's. If you need something sweet after the sub, they're a great place to go.
