One of the perks of my job is on any given day, I can find myself in any random suburb anywhere between the Sunshine Coast or the Gold Coast. This means I get to sample a lot of cafes far and wide on my lunch break.
Today I found myself on the Gold Coast at Chill In Cafe. When I walked in, there was soft, acoustic, blues background music playing, and a rustic atmosphere to suit. The atmosphere here is quiet, but peaceful quiet (not disturbingly quiet).
I ordered a pumpkin, avocado and Halloumi stack for lunch. The meal was filling, the ingredients were fresh and oh my lord was the Halloumi oh so tasty. And not too pricey either!
Coffee was quite nice, tasty and fresh as well, with no hint of staleness or bitterness. I noticed that they also sell beans here too. I wish I could've bought some for home, however I still have a decent amount of coffee to get through. Their online coffee store (www.coffeebeansshop.com.au) is worth a look, and I'll be ordering a couple of taste testers next time I'm running low.
All in all I really loved the experience here. It's designed for coffee loving hipsters to type up Yelp reviews such as myself. It almost made me wish I lived down here. I will be making note of it for future work trips, and will also be checking out their coffee beans at some point in the near future. read more
