Great people, equipment, and pricing. Recommend this place highly. I wish they offered a healthier selection of tanning lotions though.

This was honestly the worst tan I have ever experienced as I have been to several airbrush tanning…read moresalons over the past 4 years, I should have just bought an expensive self tanner! The atmosphere was amazing. The technicians were super kind, but the quality of this tan was TERRIBLE. for $70 I expected to look like a bronze goddess and felt like patchy bitch and I left looking the same as i came in when i asked for the darkest shade range and to top it all off your tan rubbed off on my $200 white prom dress. Mind you i followed all the after care instructions have moisturize religiously and was tanned 3 days before my prom to avoid any issues. I CANNOT WAIT to take an everything shower and scrub this tan off my body!

Amanda's is pretty good. Been going for roughly 8 yrs. The lady's do a good job, for the most part…read more They're not overly friendly, but I guess we can't control that. In business everyone is trying to survive. Loyal customers have followed you around from location to location. Yet your policies don't reflect that appreciation, in my opinion. You're trying to offer a membership.. the deal is not great. Most ppl don't tan every month, all year. $30 bucks a month is steep for a weak discounted tan plan that customers still have to shell out money for a "membership." The cancellation policy is a huge problem as well. You should absolutely let ppl reschedule if an appt can't be kept for illness, or funeral. I came down with a serious illness & she kept my whole payment. So unreasonable. I get you want to fill your appts, but that's just crazy. Would you rather ppl come sick & get your staff sick? You should charge $10 fee, providing they commit to a reschedule at the time of cancellation and stick to it. If they don't immediately book a reschedule, then keep their money. So u know you're getting paid, but that also shows that you're reasonable & you understand some things can't be helped. So many ppl have lost a lot of money over this & it's left a lasting negative impression that I've heard more than once. You're not the only business who has to feather their policies between themselves, and fairness to the customer. Is it worth the reputation of your business? Part of it is just the nature of business in general.. seems you expect perfection and it's simply unreasonable.

Katie is a miracle worker! I've been getting Brazilians since I was 18 and facial waxes since 13,…read moreand let me tell you, Katie changed everything I thought I knew about waxing. Those red splotches after waxes that I thought were just part of getting waxed? Nonexistent with Katie. I am genuinely convinced she is magic because I never knew a wax could be this painless before AND after! Also as a gal who has always struggled with intense ingrown hairs, ones that doctors told me could only be fixed with laser, I was stunned when Katie took the time to get all of them out and coached me on how to prevent them in the future, truly above and beyond! She's is the most thorough esthetician I've ever been to, and she creates such a warm and welcoming environment that I am actually looking forward to my next wax!

Always looking for my go to eyebrow spot. And I think I found it!…read more Booking online was super easy and simple. I have always wanted to know what was inside that building/house especially with that gorgeous curved front door. Passed it so many times on University. Parking was easy and nice to have designated parking spots for Bare Philosophy. Walked in and had no idea that you had to take your shoes off. I get for cleanliness sake and winter bringing water/salt, but I wasn't expecting it. I walked in and noticed another patron standing inside with her socks on so I followed suit. I didn't notice behind me that they provide slides to wear after you take off your shoes. There was no staff downstairs so no one to greet me or give instructions. There was a sign that said they were short staffed and to help yourself. It was the day before Christmas Eve. Really pretty inside and welcoming. Lots of areas to look at product. There was a coffee machine. Old historical charm throughout! The other client got brought back and I just was standing around. I finally heard someone in the foyer area and was checked in at that point and brought back to a large room for my eyebrow appointment. We spoke a bit about eyebrow shape and how she likes to keep things natural/follow your natural shape. Can always take off more later if I wanted. I think my eye wax was all of five minutes. Trimming, a few strips of waxing, and then tweezing and that's it. Let me have a look in the mirror and I was happy for the most part. I should've asked to trim my eyebrows a little more. But overall content with the shape. I wish there was something to put on my skin afterwards to calm it down since I get red easily. Again, the whole process was super quick, didn't feel overly personalized with an eye brow shaping/waxing but the job got done. The staff who did my brows was very nice and we made conversation throughout my service. I felt comfortable and no pain with the waxing/tweezing. Afterwards, she checked me out and you can give a tip on a card. $20 is a fair price for an eyebrow wax, what I was paying for at another place in the area.
