I am writing this review with a heavy heart after a series of disappointing experiences at Children's lighthouse Gleannloch. My kids have attended for some time, and I had high hopes for their well-being and development. Unfortunately, recent events have compelled me to withdraw my children from the School. During their recent absence due to illness, there was no outreach to inquire about their well-being, which was disheartening. Moreover, the lack of attention to my concerns, including issues like inadequate nutrition, a lack of support for my autistic child that was promised from the beginning of enrollment with a 6month upfront payment, and instances of mistreatment by teachers that aren't qualified teachers, has left me deeply concerned about the overall quality of care. I acknowledge the efforts of a few dedicated staff members, but my trust in the School that has become a daycare and not a learning school has been eroded. I hope this feedback prompts positive changes in the future. *The Owner should change the name to Children's lighthouse Daycare and not Children's Lighthouse Learning school. If your Child starts to cry at drop off but he didn't do that before please take that as a red flag and make sure you view more the cameras even thou. its has limitations. I hope your children get treated better than mine did. read more

The 2-3 week commitment was never discussed. However, you mean 3 week contract. Because the first day counts for the first week, right? So 3 weeks must be paid after the first day, plus your deposit! Tell me that's fair lol. This was never discussed up front, sorry. We didn't find out until we pulled our child from your facility. Should have read the contract and trusted you not to be ripping families off. Guess that's my bad though. Your primary concern is obviously business and not general hospitality. read more

Zach- Your statement of providing a safe and nurturing environment is false. My child was not taken care of and he was not interacted with. Throughout your website and on your contract you state the core values of CARE for your daycare. Have you read those? Do you employ workers that follow these rules? Your website and enrollment packet boast about the wonderful research-centered learning and practice but all I saw was a teacher that did not want to interact with ANYONE and kids yearning for attention. If your "learning center" boasts about a fully integrated curriculum and active engagement of students then you could at least hold up your end of the deal. HIRE SOMEONE THAT LIKES CHILDREN!!! Those kids are all just put into a room filled with old toys without any social interaction from their main teacher! "Brain-based" learning strategies and "neuro-education" must be used VERY loosely with your center and I would maybe revise your core values and website to let families know that this place utilizes neither of those. Don't get me started on your mission statement "Our goal is to nurture the development of each child's full potential- intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically- in an atmosphere of safety and trust." Kicking the back of chairs and grabbing kids by their arms (Yea that's in your contract too as a violation on your end) is not nurturing or a safe environment of trust. All you see is money $$$ if that wasn't the case you would have fixed the toddler room issue that has been going on since 2016 when the last reviewer on here experienced everything we did. We started our daughter in the infant room when she was 3 months old and pulled her out a month later. The major reason I pulled her out was because the infant room teacher was using a wipe to clean her butt and then used that same wipe to wipe her face. I had a meeting with the director and she said she talked with the teacher and wrote her up and also said "you know how you get in the groove of things and do you things without thinking about it"...another RED FLAG. Her saying that also told me that they do not value their organization enough for me to feel comfortable leaving my daughter there. Below are a few other health related regulations they do not follow and I am only speaking for the infant room, I do not know how the other rooms operate. -They do not require you to take your shoes off before walking in the room. -They allow the babies to sleep in the swings, with blankets on them. -They do not wash their hands after changing the baby's diaper. We moved our daughter to another Children's Lighthouse-Creekside and they are AMAZING and go over and beyond. I think it says a lot about the organization that we kept her in the same daycare chain, just operated and owned by a different person. read more

My daughter has been coming here for about 2 months and it is spectacular, they have video cameras insids each facility and this particular location has never had any child issues. The staff is amazing, Danielle and Allison and my daughter's teacher Ms. Meadows are the best and ultra helpful. You can tell they really do love making the kids better. The owner is a GREAT guy and overall this place is amazing, love it. read more

This 2 year old class is a massive problem. Teachers that don't care and let the kids fight and bite each other. My grand daughter came here from a great experience at Primrose in Sugarland to a 2 week nightmare of chaos, lack of attention by "teachers" and an apparent tone from the top regarding apathy and disinterest in the nurturing of these young kids. Child care is hard, but if you are in this business, pay attention and care. We moved my grand daughter in less than two weeks, but this experience definitely is something we won't forget. Avoid this place until these people actually start watching their own video feed. Where were you the last 10 days!? read more

I wanted to wait at least 6 months of my children being here before I wrote a review. They have now been here almost a year and I still love this school just as much as I did on day 1! The staff is super friendly, they truly care about the children, and they've learned a lot. My oldest will be going off to kindergarten next year, and Children's Lighthouse has been, by far, the best center we've had them in. read more

What a great feeling to walk away from dropping your children off and knowing they are safe, happy, and well cared for. I have two little guys that I would move heaven and earth for, they have been with me all day everyday since day one. I owned my own business so I would take the boys in to work with me everyday. We recently moved to the Spring area and I have a job where I can't take my kids with me (like most people), I had such a hard time with the idea of leaving them in childcare all day but it has been easier knowing they are well taken care of! The staff here has been very sweet to my two little guys, I can see through the live feed online that they are having fun! They have splash days, movie parties, field trips and that was all in the first week they have attended. The owner, Mr Rogers, has been wonderful, super friendly and welcoming! The entire staff has wowed me by the little things they have done to make the transition easier. So happy to have found this little treasure of a school, You will be too! read more

My 3 year old son has attended Children's Lighthouse of Gleannloch since it opened. I am very pleased with the caring staff, the curriculum, and how he is learning to socialize & build relationships with children his age. I appreciate the video system which allows us to see the learning and play going on in the classroom throughout the school day. My Reagan has been going to Children's Lighthouse of Gleannloch since she 3 months. She absolutly loves her teachers and I feel comfortable leaving her there for the day knowing that she is being taken care of. I can even check on her using the live camera. The employees there are nice the facility is nice. But they will criminalize a 2 year old and treat him as a sex offender for hugging other children to the point where they will force them out of he facility. Yet the other child who bit my son and left a scar on his back is left unpunished. His first week at the facility he came home with bruises on both arms. They also claim that my child was the only one who would climb on the furniture yet we have screen shots of other children doing the same and not being reprimanded. They suggested that we look into ECI for our son the week before we had made arrangements for them to come is the week that they decided they could not keep him there at their facility because "he is just coming here to waste his time". When I mentioned to them that other child specialist suggested that they did not have adequate training the director Carol told us that they didn't. I'm very disappointed with this daycare. They will also send you false reports about your child's day. I received a few reports where he had are meals that he wasn't even present for or that he ate food that he doesn't like. The teachers constantly reported how great my child was doing but called us into a meeting with the director where they told us the complete opposite. The list just goes on and on. If your child can take care of themselves then this would be a nice place for $245 a week. read more

We were attracted to this school after visiting the facility, which is very nice, and meeting with the director and the owner. Director and the owner were very friendly, went over the learning curriculum, and stated we would receive daily reports from the classroom teacher. They also had video monitoring which allowed us to view our child throughout the day which was a feature we really liked. Our child was new to daycare so we understood it would take time for her to get acclimated to the classroom environment. During the first few days, we viewed the video monitoring quite frequently and noticed the lead teacher was rather rough with the children. She would grab them by their arms to move them where she needed them. We did not see her do this to our child so we did not make a mention of it. On the second week, there was an instance where she grabbed our child out of a dead sleep to the point she almost fell over. This was the straw that broke the camel's back. In addition to that, we only received one daily report while our child was enrolled which stated our child ate once and had one soiled diaper throughout the day. Our child was there from 8:30am to 4pm so we knew the reporting was inaccurate. All of these items were brought up to the Assistant Director who did not seem very concerned at all on the date we withdrew our daughter. When I requested my child's belongings from the classroom, she told me I could go back there and grab them myself. No help AT ALL. We did have a conversation with the Director and the Owner and they were both concerned and showed empathy towards the situation and they tried to make it right, however, we ultimately chose to withdraw our child as we were not happy with the lead teacher. Perhaps, other classrooms with different lead teachers are more pleasant but our experience with the toddler room was a negative one. read more

I had a bad experience with this place for my 2 1/2 year old! Day #1: First, my daughter was put in the "two year old" class. In that class I saw those teaches treat the kids VERY rough. In watching the camera's you could tell those teachers had no control over the kids. Instead of asking them to do something they would grab and pull the kids by their arms or the back of their shirts. I saw one teacher trying to put a shoe on a kid and b/c he was wiggling around she wrapped her legs around him to put his shoe on and I guess with all the shaking he threw up. Then it took about 15 minutes for them to clean it up... there are 3 teachers and not one could pick it up. Instead, that one teacher kept pushing the kids out of the way if they came close to her so they wouldn't step in it. Then when the kids got up to sit at the tables the teachers were pushing them all the way in. The kids were probably pushing back b/c it hurt their chest being so pushed in. If she saw the kids pushing away she would kick their chair back in. After seeing this, me and my husband left work early and met with the director b/c the owner was out of town. An option was to move my daughter out of that class and into the "three year old" class. Day #2: It was better in this class in that it was calmer but then I started noticing there was NO curriculum what so ever in this class. I didnt even see the teachers read the kids a book or anything... there was ZERO interaction with the kids. I went ahead and decided to give it another day. Day #3: They did the same thing. NO interaction. They would just send the kids to play or have them sit down with a book. Then I saw the teachers take out their cell phones or chit chat with each other. At that point, I made the decision to pull my daughter out. In meeting with the director twice, She was surprised to hear that the teachers acted this way. I felt there was no true concern on what I saw "because there have never been any other complaints before". I emailed the owner (Zach Rogers) and told him everything we had experienced and asked him to call me when he got back in town so we could discuss all of this. Well, I have yet to get a phone call from him so I guess since I took my child out he is not worried about our situation. read more
