Not only is our doctor excellent (Dr Edison, with 4 children of his own AND a pediatrician as a wife as well), but all the other doctors there are also great. While we alwayus prefer to see our doc, we are fine with the few times we have to see one of the others (with 4, there are often after-hours calls, Saturday vistis, last minute stop-bys, etc.) The staff there is friendly and helpful. The waiting room is conveniently divided into sick and non-sick. The nurses are nice. I could rave more, but by now I think I've made my point. Its a bit of a drive from where we live, but its well well worth it.

The practice is made up of three female pediatricians and a few nurses (so far as I can tell). They are all super friendly and easy to talk to. They take the time to answer all of my many questions and understand my concerns with spacing out vaccinations and are accommodating to that. The waiting room is split up into two sides, one for sick kids and one for well-visit children. It's a nice, clean facility. They have Saturday hours (which is great!) and I have never had a problem getting an appointment that works for us. Going to the doctor is never fun...especially when you have to watch your little baby get a shot. The doctors and staff at Maryland Farms Pediatrics do a really great job at making us all feel comfortable! Highly recommend!

And, I've found it quite difficult to find the right fit, to be honest. So, early on, I really struggled to find the right physician and group for my kids. And, the fact is, when you choose your child's doctor, you aren't just making that choice - you are choosing the office staff, the physical office space and location, the hours, the other group physicians, etc. We lived in Franklin years ago, when my kids were little. I have plenty of "horror" stories of the various physicians and groups we tried out then. From 2004-2008 we were in Florida, and it was even more difficult there - I never found a physician I was confident in! When moving back to Tennessee, a lot of prayer (yes! prayer) went into my search for a new pediatrician. Dr. Pinkley was the first we saw, and we've never regretted that decision. Fantastic facility (and I've been in some nasty offices!), pleasant and helpful staff, generous office hours, great nurses, and we've had good experiences with the other doctors, the few times we were unable to see Dr. Pinkley. We've used this group for 7 years now, and never looked back. We love Dr. Pinkley!

Dr. Lohse is so personable, so caring and clearly explains things - usually using visual examples. My son has had tummy issues, and they were so sympathetic, kind and knowledgeable. I could go on and on. I highly, highly recommend. The practice also has an on-call nurse available, so you can call in during business hours with any questions - fabulous for a new mama. They follow up after appointments to check on us, and make sure we're doing all right. They've given us samples of formulas, probiotics, etc...above and beyond. They also have an awesome website with a ton of FAQ's and such.

The reason we switched was that I felt more heard and that my girls were more focused on with Dr. Peabody over the previous. She wasn't rude or anything, just not our perfect fit.
