I have never been treated so rudely in a Chico's prior to this visit. Since I rarely save my receipts and never had a problem returning an item to Chico's in the past, being a Passport member, I visited the Las Olas store to return a pair of earrings which were too large for me. The first saleswoman, Carol, was pleasant and looked up my order on the computer. She found the order and had trouble processing the return, so she called over Zoraya, who brusquely informed me that she would have to give me a gift card since I did not have the receipt. I told her I had never received a gift card in the past since she obviously had the order up on the screen and I merely wanted it returned to the credit card with which I had purchased the earrings. She rudely refused and told me it would have to be by gift card, so I told her it would be fine (since there was no use arguing with her). Another customer overheard this transaction and commented to me that she was shocked at how unpleasant she was.
To make matters worse, after I returned home, I noticed that the credit I received was for much less than I had originally paid. She had the item on the screen, saw the correct price and then gave me a gift card for less than I had paid. I feel "ripped off" and will definitely never return to this Chico's again, only because of the rude and nasty disposition of Zoraya. read more
