We have had such an amazing experience at Chico Pediatrics. Every single person we've interacted with has been kind, patient, caring, and thorough. They always make time to fit my daughter in when she needs to be seen, which as a parent means absolutely everything. Dr. Monica is truly incredible. Dr. Ahmed as well. They take the time to listen, never make us feel rushed, and genuinely care about their patients and families. It's so reassuring to know my daughter is in such compassionate and capable hands. My husband is a physician and based on our experience with both the doctors and the office we would strongly warn new patients from this office. The doctors are highly reputable in the area, I believe primarily from a lack of options and also a lack of patient medical knowledge. When we called to make our appointment the office staff took out insurance and told us we were covered in network. We ended up changing to a different office because we felt little confidence in the ability of the doctors at this office. 7 months later fast forward I received a collection call for 1k+. They sent us to collection and claimed that we were not covered under their network. We have blue cross blue shield. It negative affected our credit and may affect our ability to buy a home. We paid the bill immediately however we're shocked that no one ever called or sent us a single email. Avoid this place. read more

Wonderful experience! As a nurse myself, we can be tough customers when it comes to health care for our families. The staff at CP was fantastic from check-in thru check out. Nurse Practitioner Monica was awesome as she took the time to be thorough and REALLY listened to my concerns. I can't say enough about how hard it can be to find a practitioner who genuinely cares and listens. The medical assistant who gave my son his immunizations was so fast! We loved Dr Asarian, after he left so many things changed. We stayed for multiple reasons. There were still a few good doctors there whom we saw in the regular basis because my daughter has a chronic issue. Our last visit was terrible so I wrote a review regarding my complaints and shared it with the office. No one ever contacted me regarding these issues. Instead they cut our entire family out of the practice saying they did not want to deal with us. Now my daughter is left without a doctor and we have to rush her to immediate care. They did this without contacting us and it has saddened me greatly to have my childs doctors office do this simply because they received some criticism. Wow. And then they just eliminate the patients who complain instead of doing something about it? Amazing and devastating. read more

I have rave reviews for the doctors working at Chico Pediatrics. However, their billing department is incompetent beyond anything I've ever experienced. Having used them for many years to treat my children, they have continuously messed up my insurance claims. Most recently I called and was told it was my problem and I needed to call my provider to straighten it out. On top of this they never entered my new insurance information which I had provided at check in multiple times. The doctors need to reevaluate the unprofessional people working in their office and find individuals with above room temperature IQ to handle billing. Spending my afternoons on the phone trying to fix YOUR incompetence isn't something I would care to repeat again. read more

My girls adore Jill Berry CNPN! She has so much experience and is so kind and gentle that my girls actually can't wait to see "Dr Jill" as they call her. The office staff and nurses are great too. We can call same day and generally get in with a provider. If Jill isn't available we love seeing all the other providers as well! They also have Saturday hours which is such a blessing to not have to take little ones to the ER or Prompt Care for something like an ear infection or other bug. read more

When our pediatrician of 10 years retired, we needed to find a new provider. Chico Pediatrics had excellent reviews. However, I have found the care lacking. Our child has many special medical needs, and the staff does not seem to understand or care about this child's complexity. Even though I am a doctor myself, the physician treated me like I knew nothing about my child, her history or her physical needs. In two separate appointments, she has talked over me, ignored me, and treated me like I was some sort of hypochondriac momma. Our child reported to me after the appointment that she felt like the doctor talked down to her. Our daughter also sees a neurologist, dermatologist, cardiologist, audiologist, ophthalmologist and ENT-- and ALL of these professionals--without exception-- treat both parent and child with dignity and respect. Chico Pediatrics does not treat their patients with dignity or respect. Some of the Nurse Practitioners are VERY sweet... but they seem overwhelmed by my child's complex medical needs. On the good side, we rarely wait very long, they offer same day appointments, and the nurses/ medical assistants are very good at education and information. read more

Wanted to say a HUGE thank you to all the staff at Chico Pediatrics! They go above and beyond to take great care of my kids! The front office staff is so nice and pleasant and always finds a time for us to be seen! When my kids are sick and I want them seen right away, they make it happen. Their office is unique because they have 3 pediatricians and 2 nurse practitioners (which we love all of them!!!), so even if our primary is busy, we can always be seen by else someone that day which is so important to us. The medical assistants are incredible and take our concerns seriously. I just can't say enough good things about this office! And...we rarely have to wait long at the office and are in and out pretty quickly. Thank you Chico Pediatrics! We're so happy with the care you provide to our family and to our community! read more

They charge $50 fee for missed appointment. In this case it was our first appointment. We called saying we were running late and they said we had to reschedule. Didn't mention the missed appointment fee. Called to see if they would give us a break after I got the bill. They said they don't do that. I understand that this sort of fee makes sense, but most places usually give a warning or will waive the first one if you call. I think this is a lame and unfriendly policy. There are better more friendly offices out there. read more

We took our baby to Chico Pediatrics from birth until we moved states after his 2 month appointment and they were fantastic! The staff is wonderful and the doctors truly care about their patients. I would highly recommend chico pediatrics to anyone looking for a pediatrician. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Chico Pediatrics turned my son away due to his medical records. They did it in a very insensitive and ignorant way. This is an office that discriminates and judges unfairly. Unfortunately, because they didn't ask me ANY questions about my child and just JUDGED him from paperwork they would of known that all he needs is to be seen for the standard ear aches, immunizations and occasional fevers that all kids get. I was left in tears after our phone call. It is shocking to me that a practice with multiple doctors couldn't handle a child with low muscle tone, I have never experienced unprofessionalism to this magnitude. My brother is now pulling his kids from this practice and I will be telling everyone to stay away from such a place that is lacking care when providing healthcare. read more

Dr John and Dr Vogel provide a warm and caring environment for children. We've brought our daughter to them since birth and have referred several friends to them. We have always been able to get in same day when needed and the nurses are wonderful, friendly, great with infants and children and answer any questions you may have. They have great advice and tricks for everything you can think of. We love Chico Pediatrics and recommend them to anyone with children. read more

My son just became a patient here, he had an appointment with Dr. Robertson for an annual exam. She was wonderful! Put my son at ease and had a good sense of humor, was thorough and easy to talk to. Staff was also great, everything was quick and efficient. read more

My daughter saw Dr Robertson. Instead of listening to our concerns she began preaching to us about behavioral issues. Finally, when we convinced her to listen to us she decided it was not a behavioral problem. She then said she sent a prescription to a pharmacy, but then we find out she didn't send the prescription. When I informed the staff the prescription had not been sent, they only repeatedly told me, "We sent it". I told them this was not the case and they were not not helpful or even courteous. Finally, after having a pharmacist call the office stating they never got the prescription did they actually believe me and send the prescription, not once apologizing. I have had good experiences in the past at Chico Pediatrics and love Dr Ahmed. But I will not pay to see Dr Robertson again and wish the front desk staff would investigate things rather than telling customers they are wrong. read more

We have been taking our son for the past two years and have nothing but great things to say. They have always been very forthcoming with information and the nurses and doctors have been great. We usually see Jill who is simply amazing! All out vaccinations have gone smoothly with the nurses having lightning quick fingers to get the job done as quickly and safely as possible. We really like their new offices, bigger and nice to have two entrances/waiting areas depending on a sick visit or a scheduled visit. I just needed an immunization record today for daycare and within 15 minutes I had it in my inbox, great service! read more

My experiences at Chico Pediatrics have been exactly what I had hoped for as a new mother. I met with Dr. Vogel while still pregnant and have absolutely loved her as a pediatrician for my son. Since her very first visit to the hospital she has taken great care in treating him. The nurses are also very helpful when I call to ask questions. The front desk staff and the nurses are very professional and kind. What I like most is that they always have same day appointments for my daughter if she is sick and needing to get in. They are always great about answering my questions over the phone, too. They never make me feel like I am being an overly-cautious first time mom. They just answer my questions and are very professional. We miss Dr. Vogel very much! However, the new doctor seems very good. Although he doesn't have the same bedside manner as Vogel, I like that he takes his time with patients, but also gets to the point. My daughter had strep, and he wasted no time testing her for it, prescribing the antibiotics, and getting us in and out so we could begin the medication. The only complaint I have is that one time a nurse didn't do the best job administering a vaccine. My daughter never cries when she gets shots, and this gal really poked her hard. Not intentionally or anything. But she definitely did something because my little one cried and complained about the shot all morning, and into the evening she was very sore. Overall, we love this place though, and plan on staying for a long time :-) read more

My twin preemie sons have been going to Dr. Asarian since we brought them home as babies. They never got sick, EXCEPT when they went in for the annual appointments to Chico Pediatrics. After the first 2 years, I was informed in April when I called to schedule their annuals, that they no longer accepted our insurance. This was just after open enrollment and when I complained, I was told a letter had gone out prior to open enrollment. I didn't get it. So, I switched insurances to one they did take...for a year apparently. Same thing happened, I called in April, they said they no longer accepted our plan. Again, I was told a letter had gone out...which is funny because I get all their bills just fine. So, this year, same thing, so I said okay, how much would it be just out-of-pocket. Marisa gave me the break-down of the office visit, and each of price of the 4 vaccinations they needed. To the tune of about $400 each. Okay, no problem, I said, we'll pay cash. We booked the appointment right after lunch, thinking it would be quick. My husband waited for 45 MINUTES in the exam room with our 4 year old son in his underwear. After that time, he was told they wouldn't be given any vaccinations because we were paying cash... WTF?!? Not once was this mentioned by Marisa or anyone else, even when my husband called to confirm the appointment this morning and confirm we were paying outright for the vaccinations. NEVER going back to these bozos again. Beware!! read more

Our insurance opted out of network but we wouldn't dream of taking our kids anywhere else. They give a 40% cash discount if you pay same day! Dr. Asarian is the best pediatrician around, always great with our boys and extremely helpful with making sure children reach their milestones.
