I had messaged this gym on my interest in doing a drop in for a day or two. I received a response back with no issues. The place was easy to find and had parking around the perimeter. I walked in and was greeted by Jason (the owner) and Valerie. They were both very welcoming and all smiles. After the waiver, Jason took me on a quick tour of the facility. The upstairs was like a recreational room with a TV and a couch, with some locker rooms. I noticed it was very clean and well kept. You can over look the gym from upstairs. Downstairs, after passing a hall way with more locker rooms, you arrived at the main training room. One giant room to fit a boxing ring, a large area of mats (where we did our BJJ class), and a workout room of free weights and a large rig for pull-ups and squats. Brandon is their black belt instructor and he was very welcoming and enthusiastic when he teaches and talks. Great energy even though he taught a Muay Thai class just prior to BJJ class. A standard BJJ class on warm ups, followed up with instruction and positional rolling, with live rolling. I did noticed that Brandon goes around the class as he assist and watches his students drill the move of the day. I had no issues with rolling with any of his students or him. Everyone had great attitudes. *Observations of the gym* I did noticed there were times that Valerie would walk around to clean equipment or windows. This shows that they care for the gym and members. I'm not sure if they have showers. This gym does have a nice 'family' vibe to it, but I did not see any kids or know the policy of having kids around. Overall, great place to visit or to become a member.

Not only do you get a good workout and learn to defend yourself but there are many life skills taught there as well. This place is wonderful for children. They make friends, learn self respect and respecting others. Ever time I see the kids they have a smile on their faces. As the owner and head instructor, many people look to Marianne and for good reason. She sets a great example and determination for everyone else to follow. If you are looking to get into martial arts or wanting a good after school activity for the kids, Morning Sun Martial Arts is definitely the place to be.

I have a black belt but it's a different kind of taekwondo than what they teach, so she decided to give me a red belt, teach me everything and test me on that then give me the black belt. The place however is a bit on the smaller side of you are used to bigger centers, but that is not really a deal breaker.

Bruno Lima Jiu-Jitsu has been an amazing part of our family's journey. My wife has been going for 4…read moreyears, and watching her dedication and growth has been incredibly inspiring. Our daughter, who has been going for 3 years, has grown so much through her time at the academy--not only in her Jiu-Jitsu skills, but especially in her confidence and belief in herself. What really stands out about Bruno Lima Jiu-Jitsu is the positive impact it has on people both on and off the mats. Many students who have trained under Bruno have gone on to branch out and open their own academies. They are a true reflection of Bruno's professionalism, teaching style, values, and commitment to developing good people--not just good Jiu-Jitsu practitioners. It says a lot about Bruno and the environment he has created that his former students continue to carry those same values into their own gyms and communities. The coaches and members create a positive, supportive, and family-oriented environment where everyone is encouraged to improve and become better both on and off the mats. We are extremely grateful to Bruno Lima Jiu-Jitsu for the impact it has had on our family. It's more than just a Jiu-Jitsu academy--it truly feels like a second family. We highly recommend Bruno Lima Jiu-Jitsu to anyone looking for a place to learn, grow, build confidence, and become a better person.
