The College of Agriculture helped me significantly in learning advanced concepts in regards to Plant and Soil Science as a transfer student from a community college. The job I currently work at aligns quite well with the curriculum taught by the dedicated professors both in general education and in the college itself. The campus itself is gorgeous all year long and the surrounding downtown area provides many helpful services to make life happen. The outdoor areas too are wonderful and are well worth exploring (time permitting). The financial aid package provided by FAFSA (highly recommended, if not mandatory to apply) too was something neither my dad or I expected to make use of. Not sure why some other reviewers experienced issues with the system. I experienced no problems the whole time while enrolled as a student. Perhaps my enjoyment of the experience is skewed due to the fact that the pandemic greatly altered many aspects of the university itself when I first transferred (then gradually rolled back). If I could, I would give 4.5 stars. At the end of the day, higher education is a choice, and CSUC was a great choice indeed for me!

The employee that approached that was very friendly. She explained to us about the artist and how he was able to do it. After looking at that artwork, we looked around the store and found some really interesting place. I found this shop more interesting than most museums, to be honest.

They seemed to have a large selection of work by local artists which I think is fantastic. The glass art that was on display was gorgeous, even if they did have quite a few glass pumpkins mixed in there. I'll be the first to admit, I do not get the whole glass pumpkin thing, they are everywhere! Do that many people really like pumpkins? Or are there just that many women running around with Cinderella complexes? Anyway, they had several (non-squash) pieces that I would've loved to have come home with. Maybe next time. The staff at the gallery was friendly and helpful without being overbearing. I would definitely check them out again.

Not only is the curriculum excellent but but the teachers are wonderful and the environment outstanding. The parents of the other students seem top notch and we have a family-like atmosphere. The academic rigor that Notre Dame provided also came with fun and challenging athletic and arts opportunities. We also loved how the school supports specials: students have a different teacher for music, fine arts, and physical education. Further, there is a fabulous after school theatre program run by parents who have passional and commitment to the theatrical arts. The hot lunch program is delicious and nutritious. We especially appreciated the upper elementary and junior high field trips to interesting places including: the Balclutha ship trip (5th), the Monterrey Bay (7th), San Francisco (6th), and Ashland theatre field trip in 8th grade. When we were there, parents also organized a Washington D.C. trip. The choir and music opportunities were embedded in the school program and classes, and all students learn the fundamentals of music. The proximity to the university also provided the students with enriched programs and activities such as the science lab just a hop, skip and a jump away. Notre Dame is a traditional looking school that values respect and community service, but teachers also bring the most relevant and research-backed best practices to the classrooms as well. One other aspect is that my children, during those turbulent junior high years, were not just around peers who they had grown up with, but were able to be role models and teachers for the younger students, as Mass buddies and teacher aides. I feel that the TK-8 structure keeps junior high students a little more innocent then massing all of the same-aged kids together at once, like the other junior highs in town. The financial investment is just that: an investment in our children. Well worth every penny.

The instructors are kind, caring and very good at what they teach. There are classes for lots of different age groups too. My son started when he was 5 or 6 I think and he is almost 9 now. They have beginner classes and also classes for more advanced kids. I feel very safe leaving my kid at these classes and he comes home and is totally inspired to create new and exciting things he learned. We have also had this company for a birthday party and it was a hit with all the kids who came. They bring tons of different legos for the kids to create with, and help design a special theme that all the kids can build and contribute too. Totally great for winter birthday parties like we have! Prices are totally reasonable for the classes and birthday parties too. Highly recommend signing up for a class over summer break or they even have them during Spring Break and Winter Break. If you have a creative, thinking master builder like I do, this is the perfect place for them to grow and expand their talents!
