First, Kidspark is a vendor for Far Norther kids with disabilities. My three-year-old has autism…read moreand the program sounded like a great option for a spontaneous date night here. I assumed Far Northern would only fund quality places. Just to preface this tale. Second, for those short on time: let me just say Kidspark works great for my friends' kids who are not on the spectrum or disabled (hence the two stars, not one). If your kids are older, used to childcare, and can TELL YOU what happens to them, I wouldn't see Kidspark being a problem. For my non-verbal kids (one on the spectrum, one neurotypical) it is NOT a safe or reliable source of childcare. Do with that what you will... Third, the long of it: the first time my kids came home STARVING, with dry lips, and parched. They both drank FULL cups of water when they got home. I was shocked. They also scarfed down foods they usually don't eat because they were so hungry. I was charged for two meals each (lunch and dinner). The meals were different than those listed because they ran out. Okay. Whatever. It's all just food. But I wonder what happens when kids have allergies and parents trust the meal plan. Not an issue for my kids, so whatever. My kids being hungry WAS an issue. Staff said "they didn't feel like eating." No attempt to help them eat. None of the ENTIRE BACKPACK of snacks I took for them was touched. Nothing. When I picked them up (the middle of dinner time) my boys were both away from the table with their full plates of food doing nothing. Trusting all of the Far Northern services we've received, I figured it had to be a bad day for staff or some fluke. So, I took them back for round two. SAME EXPERIENCE the second time. My kids were starving and dry as a bone. Both times my kids weren't allowed to nap. When my baby started to fall asleep, I was told they just laid him in the TV room and kids played around him. No tenderness. No quiet area. No attempt at following his needs. Nothing. Let's talk about safety: the ratios here are terrifying. My kids get hurt every time they go there. The place looks like everything would be sticky to the touch. My kids come home covered in dirt and with soiled diapers. The two times I've taken my kids there, I find my two-year-old off in a corner unattended by staff. It's a mess. Financially, I'm disturbed by the fact that Kidspark double dips Far Northern and charges two single child prices for a family. Instead of charging Far Northern less or me less for the second kiddo, they max out the costs for both. They use diapers for one family on another family (I've taken a pack for a full day and it's been completely used in two hours - a pack of 30 diapers... how the heck?!) I'm sure they love the kids... except... not really. I fully admit this job has got to be one of the most stressful jobs around but it doesn't need to be so obvious. It literally seems like they hate kids. I never see a smile when I walk in. The kids are tagged like cattle and turn into numbers to round up and pushed through the gate to "go play." As I drove by for lunch one day, I saw a beautiful child with Down's Syndrome through the glass rocking in the corner behind the counter. Nobody was near him. Other kids were standing away staring. I've had friends with kids on the spectrum cry to me about their children being bullied and bitten and hungry and ignored. Still more have had to pick up their kids early because the staff is so overwhelmed they can't handle meltdowns or misbehavior. Why in the world would a special needs service operate in a place where they have no extra training or support for kids with special needs? Respite? What. A. Joke. I 100% believe this is an unsafe, unhygienic, unfriendly place for kids with special needs. While neurotypical kids may enjoy the independence and play time with friends, I worry for my non-verbal sweethearts' safety. I will be asking Far Northern to take a serious look at who they fund as this place is not only difficult and stressful, it's DANGEROUS. Never again.

This place is beyond amazing, and I am so happy to have such great care given to my children while my husband and I are working. Its a clean, cozy, and welcoming environment for learning and having fun for the most special little people in our lives! To just throw it over the top, theres a covered patio area giving the kids room to play without having to be 100% exposed to the extreme weather we experience in Chico, and the outside play area gives them so much room to run around and have a good time. Denise has selected the sweetest staff who seem like they honestly love what they do and value their time spent with the kids. As someone who constantly seems to have a concern about something, I have zero about Enchanted Play and the quality of care given to the kids here. We currently have an 11 month old and a 3 year old enrolled here, and we are beyond happy!

They feed the kids homemade fresh meals, which helps parents in the never ending quest to broaden their palettes! They have tons of outside time in their very safe and functional backyard. And my favorite part of it all is the circle time, learning games, and arts and crafts activities they do daily. They teach the kids letters and number and do fun science and math projects to keep them learning while having fun. They also do naps every day which is both amazing and admirable (my son refuses to nap at home these days). Denise has watched my 6 and 3 year old since they were babies and they both dearly love her and teachers, which is proof what they are doing is working.

My daughter was 2 years old when she started but very behind with speech due to isolation from the lockdowns/mandates. This Preschool has performed wonders as she is now talking up a storm and singing her heart out with all the adorable songs they learn. She even teaches them to her baby brother at home! It is literally the most heart-warming experience to see my babies suddenly singing in unison. Aside from education (she can count to 30 now), she has developed super close friendships here and social skills at such a young age! My baby boy was 10 months old when he started. I felt completely secure with him at Little Treasures right away, as the child care is top-notch. I do not exaggerate when I say these teachers are truly loving and genuine, not to mention experienced. Every single one of them. Miss Michelle really knows how to find the good ones. Also, Director and Teachers alike have impeccable memory and organization. That's big for me since I'm very detail-oriented! It's been wonderful being able to depend on this daycare/Preschool. P.S. I watched as Miss Michelle put her heart and soul into this new location, perfectly planning all the different stations that intertwine learning with play. Also, the outdoor playground is akin to an amusement park as my daughter is always begging to stay. You know it's a good sign when your children race to put their own shoes on, ready to go to Preschool! Thank you Little Treasures for being such a special place in our children's lives

My kid delayed in speech and Michelle was the only person to support and guide me to give my son the help he needs to communicate better and develop better speech. The teachers also helped him with regulating his emotions through helpful communication and now he uses more words than I expected him to use. I'm proud of my son of who he's growing into because of the dedicated support from all the teachers. I trust these teachers with my son's life and I couldn't ask for a better family to help me support my son.

He's always been a very sensitive and clingy little guy, so leaving him anywhere has been tough for us in the past. But this center has really helped with that. From our very first visit, Shelly made him feel right at home and he didn't want to leave--he loved playing, exploring, and immediately connected with the staff. The team is warm and welcoming, but I have to highlight a few people who have made a huge impact. He absolutely adores the lead of the center, and his favorite teachers are Miss Jada and Miss Chloe. Miss Chloe truly has a gift when it comes to working with kids--she's incredibly gentle, kind, and understanding. She just has this calming presence that makes me feel completely at peace leaving my child in her care. She's also amazing about sharing updates through the parent portal, with thoughtful notes and sweet pictures that give us a real sense of how our son is doing throughout the day. Miss Jada is also wonderful--she's so thorough and attentive. I really appreciate how she keeps us informed not only about how much he's eaten and what he's played with, but also how he's doing emotionally. That level of care means everything to us. We feel so lucky to have found a place that feels like a second home for our son. Knowing he's in such loving, capable hands brings us so much comfort. We're truly grateful for the team.

I will say a little more than what my pictures say, my son was picked up by his dad there were times he would find him playing outside, in nothing but underwear, sometimes he'd be dressed but with no shoes. And in bad weather. We'd show up to get him they would also not know where is stuff is including shoes which is always supposed to be in cubby, and if it wasn't my son would get blamed. He was a toddler. I don't understand how they put all of these expectations on small children not even school aged just starting to learn these things. Ang, has been fired since but she would literally tell us our son was put of control and she couldn't handle him and she would be mad!!! This place blew my mind.

They are safe secure and have always made us feel they give attention to each child and make sure to communicate with us daily. The school is clean, organized, and well structured. The teachers have well prepared our daughter for the next step in school. They separate the kids into smaller groups dependent on age, which is very nice and allows for more one on one attention. She started in the infant room, then toddler room, into the caterpillar and lastly butterfly's, with great teachers in each room to help with age appropriate learning. We are grateful for the stability and routine they have provided our daughter and us even through the pandemic.
