Looks like we have a new food truck in rotation at Dinin' Hall!…read moreFoodFetti is making it's presence on Tuesdays, and I'm glad we chose to give it a try today. "FoodFetti" is a great name because it has a small menu, but with a lot of variety. It's like handful of foodfetti, not a pinata's worth. So far there seem to be 4 sandwich/burger varieties (veggie, pulled pork, and two burgers), and a couple of sides and desserts (cream puff looked good, but I did not try this time). I had the chipotle burger, and my dinin' mate and I split the vietnamese spring roll. The burger was ah-maze-ing. It tasted so fresh, perfectly greasy and perfectly sized. It wasn't too big, but not so small that I felt like I should've ordered two. Toppings were fresh. However, I didn't taste the "chipotle" in the meat very much. Still, a very good burger experience. The spring roll was noticably delicious, especially with the peanut sauce. The basil in particular tasted so fresh and crisp. However, at $2.75 for ONE spring roll, I felt this was a little high. If I run into FoodFetti, I'll probably order another burger and try a cream puff. But, in the meantime, good burgers are relatively easy to come by (and I can get the touted "hand formed" patties in my own kitchen easily enough). It'll be interesting to see if they change up their menu in true 'fetti style. Keywords: Tasty, fresh, variety, simple, expensive.

I thought the whole food truck experience was supposed to be Internet driven, but I found very…read morelittle info on Food Fetti before I tried it. A barebones twitter account, no website, no yelp... The Internet stalked in me was disappointed. The eater in me was not. The burger I tried was great, a nice sized burger, perfectly crispy on the outside, juice as hell (thanks, bacon!), on a just-substantial-enough bun. The toppings tasted fresh, although the pepper-jack kind of overwhelmed whatever "chipotle" ingredients were included here. The Vietnamese spring roll was incredibly fresh, with a perfectly stick and thick peanut dipping sauce. It's overpriced though - almost 3 bucks for one roll is steep, considering it's mostly chopped veg. Good stuff, on the whole though, and a welcome addition to the Cbus food truck corps.

I wasn't tracking Kinetic although they just happened to be in my neighborhood, as I said before we…read morehave been getting a string of food trucks off and on. My streetfinder foodtruck app told me they were there. I decided to check them out for dinner as I wanted to try something new. Also I heard/read the reviews stating it's a healthier alternative to other food trucks. I ordered the baja bowl and it was great. All the veggies and spicy chicken with the sauce was a great kick. I hope to try them out again to try the caprese bowl. If you're looking to a healthy alternative food truck. Check out Kinetic, you might find something you like on the menu!

Tatoheads = a solid food truck lunch experience!…read more Tatoheads parks outside of Germania on Front Street from time to time and it is SUPER close to my work so, recently, I decided to check it out. The first thing I did notice was that the poor young lady working in the truck was all on her own. This lead to the Tatoheads experience taking a VERY long time. I saw other colleagues walking to other restaurants in the area who both passed me heading to lunch and heading back to work because I was in line for so long and then had to wait for my food for so long. The gal working in the truck seemed very flustered even though she was super nice. When she brought me my order, she realized that it was completely wrong. She was super apologetic but I didn't have time to wait any longer so decided to go ahead and take the food she made. I ended up with Bacon Cheeseburger Fries. They were super delicious! It was such a yummy meal. Sadly, I am allergic to dairy so I ended up with some hives and a rash for eating it but it was basically worth it since it was so tasty. The portions were HUGE and I could barely finish my meal. I really liked it a lot and I hope to check it out again when they're less busy or less understaffed.

Again, more hype and excitement then needed. It was better…read morethan all the other food trucks at the festival, but only because the others really weren't great. Again, pricey, $4 for fries, and an extra $1 for sauce which of course you need. Then $7 for "combos" meaning loaded fries. We got the chicago dip with fries and I chose spicy which was too hot for me or my son so my husband got it. The fries were nothing special, a bit of mozz, some steak and way too much watery gravy which stained up everything. I did get to try the herbs de provence topping which was great exactly the right herbs it should be and I refused to pay $1 for ketchup so I asked him for a taste of the roasted red pepper and cilantro ketchup (with such a name I coulbd't leave without at least tasting it) and he gave me a try, it was not as expected. More like your cornstarch filled jellolike sweet chili sauce with green specks in it, so glad I saved the money on that. In all ok, but not worth going to again, I don't like fries enough to make a meal out of it and the portions not big enough to fill you up.

Has a number of sandwiches on the menu but when you have Meatball in your name, guess what, you have to have the namesake sandwich. The sandwich comes on an Auddino sub bun. He loads it up with 4 all beef meatballs, fried onions, sauce and tops it with mozzarella cheese. He also has a special sauce to add to it, pure deliciousness. Okay I had been to Villa Nova this last weekend and these actually rival theirs. They also have snacks and sodas. And who carries Faygo soda on a Food Truck??? He does!!! All I can say is everyone needs to check this truck out, you definitely won't be disappointed. *****Update on the sauce. It is a mayonnaise lemon juice, fresh herbs, water champagne and a special leaf from the mint family. You'll have to taste it to figure it out. Updated on his qualifications, Graduate of CSCC. Executive Chef at a number of County Clubs.

These guys are awesome! I love the revamped Nickle's Bakery…read moredelivery truck, they really outdid themselves! They love what they do and it shows, it was sweaty hot and packed at the Park Street Festival last weekend and they totally kept their cool, got the orders out fast and correctly with a great positive attitude! I splurged and got the King Kong, a double with onions, fried egg and BBQ on two grilled cheese sandwiches, the guys a bit suprised to see me order this, but I figured for $1 more, you get an extra patty and get to try the grilled cheese, why not? It was super tasty, the egg cooked perfectly, the meat of great quality, I would have wanted more onion and the grilled cheese was a tiny bit burnt but overall excellent! I hope they make it for awhile and expand to some other options, they only had 4 to chose from, 3 burgers and a grilled cheese, but what they do, they do well!

Market District Mobile is alright with me…read more I follow a good amount of food trucks and noticed MD foodie truck (MD for giant eagle market district) was not far so decided to check them out. They Tweeted that they had $5 burger and fries and since I had $5 on me was ready to eat. Unfortunately there was no $5 burger and fries. There were $5 dishes, but the mini burgers and fries was $7 (good thing they accept credit cards). Put my order in and they had it ready pretty quickly. Nice and hot too. The burgers were tasty and a good size. i liked the carmelized onions on them. My only qualm with them is they lacked a sauce. I believe if they paired a good sauce with the burgers the dish would have been dynamite. The fries were better than average. Well-seasoned. Will have to try more of their menu next time.
