Ordered a Doordash with two chicken sandwiches, an iced coffee, a side of Mac and cheese and fries. Yes, this is how the items arrived. No, there weren't fries spilled in the bag and the little bit of fries in the bag were unsalted, soggy and limp. Coffee wasn't filled entirely but that was nearly as bad as my half filled sides. My fries were not good. This particular night they were out of lemonade. He was very nice by giving a bigger size drink since the lemonade was out. The rest of the staff was ok. They are so slow. Its faster if you use the drive through instead of mobile ordering which is such a shame. My food is always good once I receive it but this location, and the Kinston location is definitely under the national standards of Chick-fil-A. There is no reason why I should have to wait 20 minutes in the curbside spot, seeing the drive through lane move. So I'm writing more and giving them another star because after I went inside and complained for how long it took they gave me a cookie. I guess that dropping the customer's food on the ground with fries splattered in the parking lot and then serving it in the same ripped greasy bag without even topping up the fries must be business as usual for Chick-fil-a. Since I reached out to customer service on Saturday July 10th because of a horrible curbside pick up experience. I received a response that it would be looked into, but immediately received a second email with a fries PDF that blames the consumer for not dining in and didn't apply to my complaint. This isn't a "boo-hoo my fry container isn't bursting over with fries" complaint, this is a genuine concern that my husband saw our order dropped in the parking lot waffle fries going everywhere. The employee picked it up, goes inside and then brings it back out to us in the same ripped greasy bag that had just been on the ground. She didn't even apologize, she just asked if we were Patti and handed my husband the bag. We saw the lack of fries before we left, but knew that by the time we waited in line for hot fries our other food would be cold. Had we known that we were going to have broken Polynesian sauces making a mess in the bag we would have gone inside. I reached out to customer service because I knew that this isn't how Chick-Fil-A customers are treated, but the focus on the missing fries and the issue of not being served food that had been dropped in the parking lot makes me think that I was wrong. We always get our food to go and have never had so few fries, but we don't always drive over them in the restaurant parking lot on the way out. I replied to the email, but I still haven't had a response. I tried to reach someone who could help so that hopefully this complaint #21474411 could be addressed in it's entirety and given the attention it truly deserves, but nothing. As always the staff is very polite. The restaurant is clean. Including the bathrooms. I used my speedpay and all went smoothly. Appropriate music that is not playing loud but loud enough to enjoy. Yes the food is delicious but not worth it if your sitting there for 30-40min waiting for it.
