GiGi and Diego were the kindest people one could've had to help out with this painful process. I would recommend Chicago Pet Cremation to anyone seeking compassion after losing their fur babies. We cannot express how much we appreciate your kindness and professionalism at this sad time. Thank you for everything. Bob and Virginia

I'd like to Thank you guys for taking such great care of my Big Head ( Junior ). Junior was only 6 years old when he unfortunately and so suddenly passed away. Nonetheless he had a great life full of Love, Care , Plenty of good food and all the belly rubs in the world. He's my Everything and knowing I was able to be there and take him somewhere, where I knew he was in good hands gives my heart some peace. I'll eternally be grateful for the kindness shown from everyone here and I'm sure Junior is too ‍

Losing our 16 year old boy Atreyu to ORAL SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA almost killed us. He was diagnosed inexcusably too late. He was a traumatized and abused kitty and 8 years of love and patience paid off to result in a gentle sweet boy who loved and trusted us. He was not property as the law states. Joe and the veterinary doctor were genuinely loving, caring, and empathetic, right down to saving me a baggie of his fur. While our pain is still raw I am so appreciative to know our baby left our loving hands to theirs. THANK YOU!!!!

I can't express enough the compassion, respect, and professionalism Joe has for his clients and their deceased pets. I first called Joe after it was apparent that our 18 year cat Vinnie was nearing the end and expected him to pass at home naturally. Joe's first words "how are you doing". I explained that the cat was on a steady decline and wanted to use his service based on other services that we have used in the past via the veterinarian's office. Basically a bag of ashes in a cardboard box that arrived several weeks later. We wanted something better for Vinnie. Joe said to call after he crossed over and he would have instructions for me then. Well Vinnie hung on until it was obvious he was suffering, My wife had a chance to say good buy right before she left town for business and by the next day he needed to be put out of misery. I called Joe and informed him that Vinnie was no longer with us and he was very compassionate over the phone and informed me that he was sick that day but arranged for a family member to meet me at the office. Joe shared with me his "why" and it's no surprise why he takes such good care of pet owners at a very difficult time. Ask him for yourself and It will all make sense. Thank you Joe for treating us with compassion and empathy. And thank you Joe for treating our special friends with the dignity and respect they deserve. 5 Stars all the way.

My girl they took great care of.

Amazing!! The owner is so friendly, answered all of my questions and was very informative as this was my first experience with dog creamation. Would HIGHLY recommend!! Coincidentally, My Mobile Vet Dr Z recommended Chicago land Pet Cremation as well as his provider for services. This process has made the experience a little less hard because the owner was so friendly.

5 Stars is not enough! I highly recommend Chicagoland Pet Cremation. They took care of us on a day they were closed. Prices are amazing for the care you get and the care they give to your pet. I paid more at another place for my cat and was given a plastic bag with his ashes. :( I am glad we found this wonderful place. We were given a lock of hair, paw print (with her name), a gorgeous, secure wooden box with her name and a certificate. I can't even put into words how grateful we are for all they did.

Thank you Joe for handling our beloved, Attila the Honey, with love and compassion. We are forever thankful for your service!

I can't even put in words all the appreciation I have for Joe (owner, founder) of Chicagoland Pet Cremation. We lost our Beloved German Shepherd, Attila the Honey, suddenly this past Saturday morning. My husband has had her since a pup (12 years). This was our first death of a pet, and we were so distraught and didn't know what to do. I called three places near me and Joe was the first to respond. He was at our house within a few hours, with everything needed to transport our sweetie. He handled her (and us) with love and caring, even though we were strangers to him. She was cremated and he dropped her off to us in the beautifully engraved urn by Monday night. Finding your loved family member deceased is the worst feeling ever!! Chicagoland Pet Cremation, took the physical processing from our hands so that we were able to grieve her. We are so forever thankful to Joe, for not just doing a "job" but going above and beyond for us. He is the ONLY person I would recommend if you love your animal like a part of the family. Thank you Thank you Thank you so very much

Do not recommend bringing your pet here to be cremated. In my opinion this an unprofessional place of business.

I immediately called my primary vet, and they did not have an opening that day so they told me to go to an emergency vet. I unfortunately ended up here. They took my cat in the back for a few minutes, and when they came back they told me, and I quote, "he would not let us look in his mouth" and that he was very dehydrated. I was then told to go to my primary vet. He wouldn't let them look in his mouth? Wtf does that even mean? Aren't you a goddamn emergency vet? And you acknowledged that he was dehydrated, but didn't give him any fluids or any form of hydration. Just told me to go to my primary vet. Well THEY told me to go to YOU. And then YOU told me to go to THEM. Okay, a big F U with a bill attached to it is what I pretty much got from this place. So I made the next available appointment with my vet, which was a few days away. Well, he didn't make it. He died over the weekend before the appointment, after I came to YOU for HELP, and was pretty much sent on my way with a sorry, too bad, so sad, we can't help you. Well, I will never come here again, because your lack of care and compassion led to my cat dying. And I had to pay you for it. I paid you to do nothing. Well, thanks for nothing. Horrible, heartbreaking experience. If you would like to talk to me more about my experience, I am open to talk. But given the level of care my poor cat received (none), I'm not expecting anything from you.

I never write reviews, but this one needed to happen. If some of these issues happened to me,…read morechances are it has happened to others. There is much more to this, but this is the summary of my experience with "compassionate" care. Just an overall horrible experience and horrible business transaction. We got off to a good start with this company. Up unto dropping our dog off to go through the aquamation everything went well. Our requests were to get our blankets back (we made this very clear), which were going to go in our bed with my wife and I. We wanted her remains put into the same urn as her brother's remains which we also brought in. We wanted both names on the name plate for the urn. Our requests could not have been any clearer. We were guaranteed our requests would be met. Once they got our money everything went completely downhill. Numerous unanswered texts, phone calls, and voicemails to check status and make sure everything was ok. Something seemed off. It was supposed to take a week from what Bryan said. Took almost 3 weeks to get the remains back. During this time, I had asked about our blankets we wanted back. Bryan informed us these blankets could have been thrown away, donated, or something. He said his commercial laundering company could have them, and he would investigate it. No call back no update. He would not give out the name of this commercial laundry company to me, I would of gone there myself to look for these. Confronted him on that. Said they would bring them back the following week and he would call, which he never did. Again. In picking up our remains and rather upset about the blankets I look over and there is just one dogs name on the plate, remember I asked for both dog names on the plate. I called him out on this, and he tried to tell me both names are on the urn... on the bottom on a sticker tag which also had our address/information on it. He tried to pass this off as that's what I asked for. It is clearly not names on the plate, and he knows this, but still tried to pass it off anyways. This is also the same tag that's on the envelope they give you, with your address on it. My wife and I had to order our own plate. He kept dragging me along in the blanket situation as if he was trying to hide something and knew it. Also, we did not get our other urn back, so they are likely using our other dog's urn for their other customers. I didn't even think of this at the time as I was so heated about everything. The one thing that did happen we asked for was both bags of remains were in the same urn. Other than that, this whole process was as far as a business transaction went was a disaster. No accountability, no apology, crappy communication, most important requests to the customer not met, making excuses, no effort to make any bit of this right. He had said that he does donate and could have donated these blankets to Young At Heart, which is a senior dog adoption center in the area. In speaking with the lady who works there, they said they had never gotten any donations from Bryan or "Compassionate" Care, nor would they take blanket donations from a cremation center for a number of reasons. So, Bryan straight up lied about that all together. Who does that? Seriously. Absolutely pathetic to say the least. All of this was a great example of how not to treat customers. An even better example of how not to do business and how not to handle a big mess up on their behalf. We will not be returning to "compassionate" care, which is unfortunate because we did like the process of the aquamation. I have plenty more to say, but this is the gist of it. Bryan was absolutely horrible to deal with after the money was paid. This was supposed to be a big bittersweet closure to moving on from 2 dogs I had for 16 plus years, and these people stained that closure. They didn't follow through with anything to make it right. I would give a 0 if I could.

I don't mind paying a lot for veterinary services, but this company -- and I blame the company, not…read morethe vets -- charged me well over $200 for a visit in which nothing happened. My cat hissed once and ran into a corner and that was pretty much it.  For context, this was my easy cat. The one they've cooed over at my regular vet's office. It's not fair to say that the mobile vet even took a look at her, because she was wrapped in a towel when I brought her over and she ran into the corner as soon as I put her down. The vet then immediately gave up and said she'd come back when my cat was drugged double or triple the medically recommended dosage (with either the new drug she dispensed or my existing stock of gabapentin). But they still charged me $75 for a visual exam. I am happy to pay for the medication the vet dispensed and was even willing to pay the travel fee to compensate her for her time. But paying nearly $100 because she glanced at a cat hidden under a towel? Come on. I called and asked for my money back and was told I should be grateful the vet didn't charge me for a hands-on exam she never performed. Because, I guess, as long as we're charging for services we didn't really provide, why not? The person I spoke to made it clear the vet was just following company policy in charging me hundreds of dollars to come to my house for ten minutes and perform no exams nor provide the service I had requested. Note that the company requires you to schedule a hundred-plus-dollar exam on top of the travel fee just to get a nail trim (oh, and of course they charge you for the nail trim, too) -- which is all I really wanted. Highway robbery. And I say that as someone who will spend a ridiculous amount of money on her cats. The only reason this is not a one-star review is because a different team did a thorough job in a previous visit with my other cat. But that team is no longer available. No, I am not going to schedule another nearly $300 appointment and drug my petite cat into oblivion so you can walk away again if she looks at you the wrong way. Shame that this company insists on penny wise, pound foolish policies. They could have had a regular customer paying over $400 every three months if they had been honest rather than charging me for services they didn't provide. Instead, they got to play me once and notch one more bad Yelp review warning other pet owners not to get scammed.
