    Thin crust combo
    Pat L.

This is another first time here for pizza in Sacramento visiting friends and at first it was Chicago so naturally I thought heavy dough and high carbs. No it has plenty of options to choose from. We opted for what said to be a cracker thin crust and honestly I was thinking yeah right but tried it out anyway. The crust is actually very thin and crispy. So this was a combination with olives. Just know we're going back.

I've been here a couple of times, most recently for a quick lunch. In previous visits I've been for an event and also for small group lunch. Service has been great for all the visits! Food also delicious. For the birthday event we had a bunch of pizza options and they were all great. Today we had the lunch specials - persona hand tossed and the combo lunch with a personal pizza (went with deep dish), salad, and drink for $14. The fries appetizer was very tasty- strong garlic, which we love. The salad was good and the pizzas came out quick and were also delicious. Recommend.

Always a fantastic experience whenever we go to Chicago Fire. My hubby and I enjoyed the $13.99 lunch special on a recent Saturday: a personal pizza, salad, and drink. Everything was delicious, as usual. Portions were great; we both took home leftovers. Service was awesome. Restaurant is clean and well-run. Chicago Fire is our favorite pizza in Sacramento.

On a rainy Saturday night, there was no wait to dine here. It was half full, and it felt very cozy inside. We were greeted by the hostess, and our server was nice. I was here to try the deep dish pizza, and they had a small selection of specialties. I ended up getting the small 10" Great Chicago Fire, which was the spicy one. I asked for habanero on the side as well. I loved the spiciness! Small deep dish pizzas here go for $26.55, and I think this can feed two people easily. They cut our pizza into four quarters, and I ended up only eating one slice. I think the crust has a texture like a fruit tart. It's very buttery and kinda crunchy. Our pizza was part of the "pizza for two" deal, which included three items: a pizza, wings or salad, and dessert. We got the boneless extra hot wings, which was good - but could have been spicier! For dessert, the mini deep dish delight was the right choice. It was a scoop of vanilla ice cream over a warm chocolate chip cookie, and it was gone faster than you could say "pizza"! -No parking lot, find street parking -Unsure about free wifi -Credit card accepted -Bathroom available -TVs play sports games

First visit to Midtown and in the mood for pizza. Very quiet when we walked in to the pint there was no host in the front. We sat in the bar area. The server suggested a drink that was actually a great combo to the original mojito. Used Basel and vodka. I prefer this combo. I appreciate the suggestion. The wings were tasty. They had a small outside crunch. I liked them because they weren't very saucy. The thin crust was perfect. It wasn't soggy. The ingredients were fresh and enjoyed the taste. We really enjoyed the meal. Definitely visit again when in town.

Always have to come for the deep dish stuffed pizza! We came on new years day so it wasn't packed. A good amount of people, still we were immediately seated and the kings game was on. Started with some beers and greek fries. Yum. Love the amount of garlic on them and the lemon option - yes! We ordered the half combo and new spin n shroom deep dish/stuffed pizzas. Those take longer to bake so we were sure to get the order in quickly. However with it being slower that day, the wait for it was like half. When it came, it wasn't too hot. Temp was good to perfectly chow down,. though I personally would have liked it hotter and still run the risk of burning the top of my mouth from impatience. But I understand and all the bites were deelish. Service was great. Thank you for the visit. Will need to come with more folks so we can enjoy wings and a dessert cookie too!!

The closure of the Elk Grove location has prevented us from visiting Chicago Fire since midtown is a little further from us. We decided to go to midtown today! It's reassuring to know that their chicken wings and deep dish pizza remain consistently good. We will make it a point to return more often.

Here, you can get a solid 3 course meal and enjoy every bite. I think my own complaint is nothing is particularly outstanding or unique, but for basic eaters, this will be a good spot. The wait staff are very sweet and friendly. The interior is a bit dark but clean and spacious. Offerings: - Bone-In Buffalo Wings: A medium spice level was actually lower spice than I expected. There was quite a bit of sauce on them, so I would definitely ask for it in the side next time. They are already coated in a buffalo seasoning that is quite good. Comes with ranch and some celery sticks. I love homemade/housemade ranch but this was neither.) - Boneless Wings: Less sauce on these but still very good flavor. Same accoutrements. - Cheese Artichoke: I cannot imagine how much this was, but I would definitely not pay more than $8 for this. It is so simple to make and likely not that costly to produce. The artichokes have a bit of a briny flavor. The cheese hardly contributed to the dish and came off in two large clumps. Still enjoyable, just not great value. - Greek Fries: Decent. A smaller fry which I like and good flavor but nothing particularly special. Did not get Greek at all, just garlic. - Bruschetta: Looked great and fresh. - Thin Crust Traditional Margherita Pizza: yummy! Nothing super special, but good all around. - Deep Dish Delight: Very similar to a Pizookie from BJs. Honestly, delicious. Loved the chocolate chip cookie and the ice cream and whipped cream.

Ordered a small deep dish veggie pizza and small French fries for take out. The French fries were ok. A little disappointing. They were average to a little above average. Could use more flavor and be a little more crispy. The deep dish pizza was really good. The best deep dish I have had outside of Chicago. Full of great flavor in every bite. The customer service was great. The employee was so helpful. The location looks amazing and very spacious. I certainly want to come here to eat in some time soon.

The pizza is amazing! Our server he's really nice and he's always asking if we want anything else. The ambiance is great and it's not that busy when we came in a Saturday during lunch. I will go back. You also must try their buffalo wings. It's so good. We will definitely be back.

The birthday boy and some friends pictures with a salad my friend said was really yummy.

We went for a friends birthday on a Tuesday. We expected to just stand at the bar and mingle but they weren't busy so they offered our large group 20+ 2 long tables on the elevated seating area. We ordered a variety of food and drinks, many people shared in smaller groups. The service was efficient and pretty attentive to notice new arrivals as the group grew. Everyone liked their food orders from pizza to apps and wings. My group of 3 ordered the package deal that came with boneless wings, a deep dish pizza and a dessert for $50, which was a great deal and plenty of food for the 3 of us. We even had some leftover. My only complaint is it seems they lost our pizza order? The drinks came out pretty quickly as did the wings and then we waited and waited and waited. During that time they tried to bring out our dessert several times to which I let the different food runners know that yes the dessert was ours but we didn't receive our pizza yet. After asking a few people to check our pizza finally came out but as the rest of the group was leaving for after dinner karaoke. We weren't in a rush so this was ok just a bit of an annoyance as we weren't very hungry. A couple friends stayed behind to keep us company. The pizza was really good once it came out. Very similar to one you'd get in actual Chicago. The dessert was little dough balls that came with dipping sauces and were really tasty, enough to share with our friends who stayed behind. All in all for a party this size with no reservation the staff did a great job. We'll definitely rely be back. Their happy hour menu looked really good too so I'll definitely have to check them out.

My wife and I went for valentines dinner here, and we were both blown away with every dish both in taste and preparation, one of the few places I would say serves almost too much food. The complimentary bread was light and fluffy and was more than just some lame bread. Our apps were the bruschetta and the fried ravioli. The bruschetta comes out on fresh toasted bread, just enough to give it a crunch but still with a soft center- the tomatoes tasted fresh and there is also some toasted cheese on the bottom and some garlic on top, definitely sets the bar for a good bruschetta. The fried ravioli were huge and completely filled with cheese, the fry was perfectly crispy and every bite was better than the last- the highlight though might have been the marinara it came with, which honestly might have been one of the best marinaras I've had at a restaurant, just super, super flavorful. Apps definitely get a 5/5 For our entrees I got the chicken parm and she got the spaghetti. I've said before in my reviews that I'm a bit of a protein snob and I love my extra protein, but without even asking the protein on each dish was more than enough, and the dishes themselves were enormous. My chicken was juicy, crispy, and super well seasoned. Her spaghetti has so much sausage in it, and it was so good- even the noodles themselves had a handmade bite to them. Just a fantastic 5/5 experience for both dishes. My only warning is to be careful of the orange drizzle, it's very spicy! Our service was both fun and polite, I unfortunately did not remember our servers name but he made it fun and helped answer all of our questions. If you are looking for Italian in this area please give this restaurant your business, everything about it is perfect.

But every time I visit Paesanos I get both of those things. On my most recent visit to the restaurant, I had the pleasure of being served by Clemens. He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and helped me find the perfect meal(Fettucine Arrositi) to fit my current dietary restrictions. He also helped my grandma find something on the menu that wouldn't be too carb heavy since she is diabetic. He was pleasant all around, he was patient with my grandma all night and made me feel like he truly valued our time and didn't rush us. He is everything you want in a server-kind,direct,knowledgeable, and dependable. I would come back any time just to get customer service like that. Now on to the food, I had the Fettucine Arrositi which I believe is their signature dish. I have had it before but this time it was especially delicious. The sauce has a flavor like no other pasta I've ever had it's rich but not too rich creamy but not too creamy and the thing that sets it apart from other creamy pastas is the subtle Cajun flavor. It tastes a bit like old bay and Tabasco to me with some other amazing things in it I'm sure but it was delicious 9/10 My grandma likes to order a lot of things for the table because she never got to have that so she ordered a bunch of things for herself to try and for me to finish. We had the meatballs and they were fantastic but she felt they were too big haha 9/10. Then we had the calamari which was my favorite of the appetizers we ordered. I'm hoping next time to try the polenta fries. Then for her main course my grandma had the wedge salad which she loved but she did mention she wished it had lots more bacon and I can't blame because I too always want more bacon on things. All in all it was a great experience and I will be back very soon.

My wife and I ordered the Favorita, Fettuccine Pesto Fresco, and Pizza Rustica. When ordering the Favorita my wife asked if the goat cheese was pasteurized and the waiter said he didn't know. Unpasteurized cheese is unsafe to consume for immunocompromised individuals and it was very important to confirm if the cheese was pasteurized. Unfortunately, the waiter did not offer to find out if the cheese was pasteurized so my wife requested it on the side and was unable to consume it. Complimentary focaccia bread was served with olive oil that contained Italian seasoning and parmesan cheese. The focaccia bread was the perfect consistency as it was not too soft or dense. The salad was served timely, however the pasta and pizza took a whopping 50 minutes to be served! No cheese or chili flakes were offered for the pizza. After the food was served the waiter did not check on us and we had to flag him down to get more water, parmesan cheese, and chili flakes for the pizza. The Favorita was an arugula salad that contained asparagus, yellow beets, and thin sliced radish. It was served with a large parmesan crostini which complimented the salad well and was a scrumptious addition. The Pizza Rustica contained artichoke hearts, spinach, tomatoes and cheese. The toppings were lacking as there were few small artichoke hearts, tomatoes, and a bare sprits of spinach. When I eat pizza I expect toppings in every bite, however there were only a few toppings per slice which was an extreme disappointment. The Fettuccine Pesto Fresco did not have a strong basil taste as I would expect from pesto. The fettuccine also tasted overcooked as the noodles were too soft. When I called to make a reservation I noted we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and was told that something special would be done in celebration. Since no one wished us a happy anniversary or made any mention of it my wife asked one of the servers if they do anything for anniversaries. They ended up providing a gelato with a sparkler in the center and took our picture. The strawberry gelato was tasty and the sparkler provided a neat affect. We were presented with our picture to commemorate the special occasion.

At the time, they had one cook and a manager who was also acting as the bartender and server for the whole floor. You could tell he was a little nervous at first with such a big party, but honestly, he handled it really well. He was friendly, energetic, and super transparent about what they were out of since everything is made fresh. He also did a great job explaining the dishes and cocktails, which we appreciated. Our group was pretty easygoing, and overall the experience felt fun and relaxed. The food came out looking (and tasting) amazing across the board. I ordered the gluten-free hot honey pizza, and it was a standout--perfect crust, nice balance of sweet and heat, and loaded with cheese, pepperoni, and sausage. Definitely a win. One of my friends also ordered gluten-free and tried the pesto chicken pizza. Unfortunately, that one missed the mark--the chicken was overcooked, the pesto flavor was off, and the pizza itself was a bit bland. However, when she mentioned it, the server immediately made it right by remaking her pizza and not charging for it, which we really appreciated. The space itself has a great vibe--cute aesthetics and it sounds like they host events during the week like DJs and art nights, which is a fun touch. Parking can be a little tricky since it's on a busy intersection, but manageable. Overall, a really solid experience, especially considering our group size and no reservation. I'd definitely come back and would love to see gluten-free pasta options added in the future!

Knowing Joe Marty, a former professional baseball player, originally opened his bar here back in 1938 and seeing how they've renovated it without losing that character makes it feel like a really special piece of the city. One of my favorite moments was when my husband ordered a Manhattan and the bartender came over and poured it tableside. It turned into this whole little production and the table next to us immediately ordered one too, which was kind of fun to watch. The food held up just as well. My teen had the spaghetti with marinara and meatballs on the side and finished the entire plate, which says everything. I told our waiter Sean to surprise me and he brought out the lobster ravioli and I was not mad about that at all. It was so good. My husband ordered the carbonara with shrimp and that was also a hit. The bread came out warm and fresh, but just a heads up the dipping sauce was pretty spicy. Our palates was definitely feeling it, so we ended up switching to balsamic and olive oil instead. Even the restrooms had things to look at, including old Land Park newspapers, which just adds to how much character this place has. Helpful tip: If you're not sure what to order, let your server guide you. Ours nailed it. I had actually been here years ago before the renovations, so coming back and seeing it now was really special. It still has that history, just updated in the best way.

Second time going to Sampino's Kitchen at Joe Marty's. We went for a birthday and Mother's Day…read moredinner. The food was good and everyone enjoyed their meals, however we discovered we were overcharged because an entrée was added to our bill that we did not order. Unfortunately, I've tried contacting the restaurant multiple times to resolve the issue, but no one answers the phone and the voicemail box is full. I live out of town, so going back in person is not an option. Hoping management sees this and reaches out to make it right. UPDATE: The manager reached out and resolved the issue regarding the overcharge. I really appreciate them taking the time to follow up and make things right. Thank you for the great customer service and attention to the matter. We enjoyed the food and look forward to visiting again in the future.

Sampino's Kitchen At Joe Marty's - Best bruschetta by far. The tomatoes are perfectly marinated, and the toast is crunchy. 10/10

We celebrated Mother's Day here recently and had a great experience. Parking is easy enough. There…read moreis a parking garage right next to the restaurant and they validate. The hostesses, our server, and everyone there was great and friendly. They were very attentive and there was not a long wait for anything. I love that they are kids friendly and there are lots of options on the menu. They make everything from scratch so you can taste the quality in the food. The restaurant is beautiful with higher ceilings and an open kitchen. There is some noise so you can talk and not worry about disturbing others. Definitely a good spot to try Calamari - 5/5, one of the best calamari we've had! It had a nice light batter and the calamari was sooo tender. That was the best part. I don't like chewy calamri Linguine mare chiaro - 5/5. So good! Has a good creamy tomato flavor, tons of yummy seafood, and the fresh thin pasta had a good chew to it. The seafood was cooked perfectly. It also has the slightly kick/spice to it. Just FYI. It's very mild and my husband said he couldn't tell. Lasagna - 5/5, also very good. It's a big portion. The layers of lasagna were tender and easy to eat with a fork. I really enjoyed the flavors in the lasagna Kids pizza - 5/5, good traditional thin crust pizza and you can tell it was cooked in the brick oven Kids pasta (tube pasta with bolognese) - 5/5, good traditional flavors, my kids loved it and almost ate it all Vulcano dessert - 4/5, good tender molten lava type cake, the sea salt caramel ice cream that came with it is good on its own, but I would have preferred regular vanilla ice cream to balance out the richness of the cake

Very disappointing from beginning to end…read more I started with a classic Old Fashioned and it arrived in a margarita glass over crushed ice with two maraschino cherries. It honestly tasted more like an adult Shirley Temple without the carbonation. I had to send it back because it just missed the mark completely for what this drink should be. I then tried the margarita italiano, which also fell flat. It tasted more like something you would expect from a casual chain restaurant like Applebee's or Chili's, not a higher-end dining spot. The mango flavor tasted like a syrup/flavoring instead of fresh mango. For food, we ordered a pizza that was pretty underwhelming and not something I would go back for. My partner had the linguine mare chiaro, which was also just okay. The sauce tasted bland and one-dimensional, and the seafood did not stand out at all. We gave the tiramisu a chance hoping dessert might redeem the meal, and while it was the best part of the dinner, it was still only fine overall. Overall, the entire experience felt underwhelming and not aligned with what I would expect from the price point or reputation.
