These were done by a female technician and are my favorite

We've always gone to chic. My sister goes often, I go for important events like twice a year. I really like their color selection they have so many colors, so many different types. They are pricier than most places at most places you can get a full set for $30-$40 at chic every time it's retailed us for about $55 this time it was $75 for me because I got holographic chrome and almond shape pretty long. I've added three pictures of my last three recent appointments, all three were a request of almond shape. The first two retail for 55 the last one like I said 75. I really like this last nail technician she took her time she's very gentle she didn't make me bleed and she put cuticle oil at the end which they've never done.

    Manicure

I went to this place because a coworker recommended it. I thought they did a decent job on my gel mani/pedi BUT they cut the SHIT out of me!! (See pictures below!) They didn't even apologize, or offer a discount. The tools they use to first sand my nails/cuticles down isn't something that can be sanitized properly (think something like a dremel.) And when they first sat me down to get my manicure started there was literally someone else's large fingernail clipping just sitting on the counter top the whole time. I should have walked out but I was desperate to get my nails done....I just hope I don't get an infection from this place. I'm NEVER going back again.

Paid almost $50 for just a rebase to have my cuticles cut and bleed, the edges look terrible, 7 coats of polish because they messed 2 up. I asked if I could wash my hands after he cut me and he told me no. Staff are pushy about what "looks good" aka what costs more money. I would give this place 0 stars if u could and am hoping I don't get an infection. Avoid this place at all costs!

    Horrible nails

Horrible horrible, if you want to lose your time this is the place you have to go. Got there at 2 pm and wanted to do white powder nails and white nail polish on my toe nails... why white? Why powder? I was asked several times all this questions, they asked and they kinda looked at me weird insisting that I needed to get gel and blah blah... The lady who did my toe nails was super nice but they had only like 5 people working and like 6 people waiting, of course they give you wine and drinks but still. I was done with my feet and had to wait for 40 more minutes, finally a guy started doing my nails and the same! He told me about getting gelish instead of powder !! God! Anyways, after 15 minutes he said I'll be back and left for almost 20 minutes because he needed to eat, and I understand that of course but why they don't get a break? Why they just let people think that they're going to be ready for you in 20 minutes when it takes almost an hour and a half and then you have to wait 20 more because they need to eat? Wth! He was almost done and he messed up one of my nails and here is when I was ready to get up and leave! I left at 4:55. Can you imagine? THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! 3 HOURS IN A NAIL SALON. 3 HOURS FOR THE MOST HORRIBLE NAILS IN MY LIFE! The owner was there and all she could say to other mad people was "I'm sorry"...

What a disaster! Spent 3 1/2 hours there and missed a plane. Visited this shop for 2nd time for pedicure and manicure dip. Pedicure was fine but manicure was horrendous. Nail technician had no idea what she was doing. Nails were misshaped and bubbly. Growing very frustrated, a male technician took over and finished the job. Found out later that this technician put a gel topcoat on over the disastrous dip coating. Cost me extra time and money to remove it.

Tony is fantastic! My nails are beautiful and he was so much fun to chat with and watch work. I thoroughly enjoyed getting my nails done, which is important because this one of the very few luxuries I allow myself. Can't wait to go back!

Full set. The picture doesn't do them justice. They look even better in person!

This salon is awesome. They took ok my idea and did it perfectly! Tony is fantastic and the entire staff provided excellent customer service.

I love this place. I'm always greeted as soon as I walk in the door, and the whole staff is very friendly. I've never had to wait longer than 10-15 mins for a walk in. I usually just scroll through Pinterest, find a design I like, and show my technician and they'll do it. Exactly like the picture. My last set of acrylics lasted me a month before they had grown out so much I needed a fill. No cracks or breaks. Only downside of this place is it is a little pricey, but I think it's worth it. My attached picture of my nails is based off the screenshot from Pinterest

Yes, sometimes it takes them a few minutes to get me in, but that's because they are the best in town and therefore always busy. They always do an amazing job. I usually just walk in and they start on me within a half hour if it's busy or right away if it's not. I usually get a short set of acrylics, square tip, with a solid color on them every three weeks and it runs me about $45. Wouldn't go anywhere else! I've attached the last few sets I've gotten.

I've been going to chic for almost a year now and had no complaints, I loved it... until today. I got there with my mother and a good friend, we waited a good 30 minutes before they treated my mom first then got to me and my friend at the same time. I was sat down and all workers were busy except for the one I got with, immediately she tells me "I'm gonna work on fixing her nails before I get to you" I turn to my side to see a lady who was not there before, get treated first even though I arrived first. I was already impatient on waiting 30 minutes but I tried to be nice and said "that's ok!" I thought she would fix a few nails of the lady next to me until I realized it was ALL OF THEM. I was furious, my mom kept looking at me like "what the heck is she doing?!?" It was an hour later and she was still doing her nails and my friend and mother were already finished. I was furious, and all within that hour the guy that roams around doing nothing but helps you pick out a nail color kept coming to me and saying "she's almost done she'll get to you!" every five minutes. Once it was my turn, my mother and friend were all set and ready to go and THEY HAD JUST GOT TO ME, not to mention the lady cut my cuticles, made me bleed several times with her tools without even apologizing and I kept my nails short and simple with a design that took her 1 minute to do on each nail and they charged me $100 ?!? I will insert a picture of nails I got in august that looks way more expensive but I only payed $60 then the ones I got now for $100. This is unbelievable, I will not be coming back and was not satisfied, there is no need to book appointments since they act as if it's "first come first serve"

The only place i will go!! Super friendly and everyone is amazing at their jobs. I always go to vicky and my nails are always next level but Tiffany and the other girls put out some great work as well! 100% recommend! Make sure to schedule an appointment tho and always bring cash for tips! Im one for super long nails and im also a mechanic so you can see how those would get in the way of each other but honestly, Vicky's acrylics are so strong they're a necessary addition to my tool box at this point. Definitely try them out! You wont be disappointed! My sets to date included

Took my cousin here tonight to get her nails done for homecoming. She asked for coffin picked the color and they talked her into gel because it's "better". She left with the worst jacked looking nails. I wanted a nude to navy ombré and they told me they couldn't do it. So I settled on my nails as well. They acted like what I wanted was the worst of issues to do. We got there at 4:00 and was finally seated at 5:30. Some regulars came in and were treated like queens. We might have be come regulars but we got the worst service and both left feeling like we were a problem when what we wanted wasn't hard. We won't be back.

What a wonderful place! Everyone was very friendly, talented, and professional. The atmosphere was very nice and clean. They offer complementary drinks. I had my nails done by Vicky (who is amazing), but everyone there was a pro! I'd highly recommend checking it out.

My wife and I signed up for a aromatherapy couples bath and we were fortunate because we came in last minute and luckily there was one opening available. I'd recommend booking in advance. We arrived around 15 minutes before our scheduled time and after checking in we were directed to a waiting room that has a small bar with drinks and snacks for purchase. At our appointed time there were attendants that came to show us to our bath. The baths are in private rooms and are very clean. When we were shown to our room the aromatherapy was added and the tub was filled with the hot springs water. The soak felt amazing, whishing I could sit in there all day. The water felt healing and with the aromatics it added an additional layer of relaxation. After our time was up we simply got out, dressed and could lounge in a waiting area until we were ready to leave.

This was our experience with the Quapaw bathhouse. We first tried to book online. Since I wanted to book both my husband and I, it was suggested that we call, so we did before our visit to Hot Springs. I expected to talk to a receptionist since we called in the afternoon during their regular business hours, but we got their voicemail. I left a message to please call us back so that we could book an appointment during our stay. After not receiving a call back after a day or two, we decided to visit in person once we got there. We waited in line at the Quapaw. I was excited because it looked so nice and relaxing inside. There were about 5 receptionists at a long counter, and after about 10 minutes one pulled us aside. We asked if there was any availability in the next couple of days while we were there. The receptionist looked iffy at first, then pulled up the information I had added when I tried to book online and told us she had a 2:30 open and blocked it off in their system for my husband and I. She was explaining to us who our masseuses would be, adding the kind of aromatherapy we liked, and that we needed to arrive ahead of time. As she went to swipe our credit card, she and another staff member started talking about our appointment. Apparently a staff member named J.J. overruled the time our receptionist blocked off for us seconds earlier and booked another couple that walked in behind us, but I guess J.J. was a faster typer? Maybe? We still don't know, because once she realized it was double booked we were told too bad, that's all they had, and nothing could be done about it. My husband and I looked at each other puzzled, like "what just happened"? So in essence, they booked us then canceled us. I even got a welcome email, then a cancellation email that I'm still scratching my head over. After pretty much saying "sorry, too bad" in front of the other people waiting in line, they all went back signing people in like we weren't even there. It was really awkward and not to mention a big disappointing let down. My husband and I left, stunned as to having an appointment, then not, not to mention the treatment after...and not really knowing what to do about it After talking about it, we decided to call to speak to someone about our experience, since maybe that was just a bad day. I've called, I've emailed, and I still haven't received anything back, not even an I'm sorry. My husband and I are on our way home, and we still haven't heard back from anyone at the Quapaw. I even waited to post this hoping we might. We got to do some really fun things in Hot Springs. The Quapaw experience or in a way "no" experience left us kind of down and not to mention kind of angry. Just so weird. I expected so much more than "sorry, bye", but that's exactly what it was. Fair warning to all.

The Buckstaff was built in 1912, and once you enter the locker room you step back in time over 100 years. The thing I really enjoyed at Buckstaff that was not offered at the other bathhouse was the steam cabinet. However, this was only about 5 minutes of my visit, so I would say if I returned, I might not go back to Buckstaff. However, I absolutely recommend visiting this one so you can decide which is your favorite! Here is the sequence of events I experienced (thermal bath experience with no massage/paraffin): I got there before 8 and there were four couples ahead of me in line. By the time 8 rolled around there were many more people behind us. Definitely recommend getting there early! The check in process was a little chaotic because the people behind the table just said "whoever was here first, come to the counter." We were all sort of in a blob and once one person jumped in front of someone else who had been there before she had, the vibe got a little weird. I kind of wish they had deli numbers or something, but oh well. I am sure it all works out. The people who worked there were all very friendly, and the people in the treatment room were SUPER busy the whole time, but very friendly. I got changed, got my sheet, and went in for my bath. They offered a loofa but no other extras (like scented salts) but I can understand why since it was a tighter space. If there were any smells in there, it could get really challenging for people sensitive to smells. My bath was fine and I enjoyed the loofa. Then I went to the cooling table. The hot towels cooled off pretty quickly, and they were more draped over me than wrapped (which was what I saw for everyone, so it wasn't just me). I don't know if that is why they cooled so quickly, but I was kind of there in cold towels for a bit which was less pleasant. Next, I went to the steam cabinet which was my favorite. I did not know how I would feel because the steam cabinet is so strange looking, but I would 10/10 want to do this or something like it again. It was like the best of both worlds being able to breathe regular air while experiencing the benefit of a steam sauna on my body. Next was the sitz bath. I was looking forward to this unique experience, but I could take it or leave it. Maybe I don't have the concerns that would make this a dream come true feeling, but I kind of just felt awkward and like I was sitting in warm water on a towel. I then went back to get dressed and leave. It was overall a great experience I feel very lucky to have had. Hot Springs offers some "nowhere else" type National Park experiences, and I definitely 100% recommend supporting the thermal baths and their employees! I would take my own clean flip flops for next time. I think they offer spa shoes, but I don't remember seeing anyone who had them.

By boyfriend got Tiffany again & she was excellent. I had Diane who did a good job, but she was not able to tackle some of my tougher areas that would have benefited from stretching & she lacked the reflexology skills I so highly value. My other feedback for the owner is to have one of their 3 business categories on their YELP page be "massage" rather than specifically "reflexology". I believe it will make it easier for people looking for a massage in Hot Springs to find them. I will still rebook my massages here next time I'm in Hot Springs. Very good experience overall.
