Only signed up for the mineral water spa. Only issue is the yelp location was set up to fisherman wharf which is their old location. That is 20 mins away. As a warning to everyone, just google/apple map the place it should lead you downtown Hotsprings across bathhouse row. Even 20 minutes late and shop was closing the employees were very accommodating keeping the shop open for us to use the full 30 mins compared to the one hour booked and charged us for only 30 mins. The outdoor spa itself looks clean, and jets and temps were perfect. Overall experience was pretty good outside a small error on yelp page. Bathrobe and towels were provided, shower is a bit confusing with it being a triple knob but having multiple nozzles was quite a nice surprise. read more

Edit: this is a response to the owners respinse. I told her at the beginning all of my issues. All of them were head/jaw related. I never once said anything about my feet or arms. I even told her after she offered to walk on my back, "no, just the headache massage please". If she was trying to go above and beyond, why didnt she do what I wanted? How is it better for me not to receive any pressure when I requested heavy pressure? The insinuation that this woman who has never met me knows more than me about my needs is insulting. Your therapists are paid to do what they are paid do do, not make up their own stuff based on vibes or whatever. She absolutely did not do what I communicated to her. There is no way she was trying to do what was best for me. If she had done that, I wouldnt be writing this right now. Honestly it was awkward, uncomfortable, weird, and a total rip off. I would leave negative stars if I could. If you're so sorry, refund me. _ Such a disappointment. I really was looking forward to a sinus/ headache massage. I grind my teeth a lot, my sinuses are messed up, I have lots of headaches, plus in in HS for a stressful reason. I did not get that massage. I requested deep pressure and I barely felt a thing. When I mentioned that to her (Lisa) she informed me that she's been doing this for 22 years. She did increase the pressure, but all I could feel were her long fingernails poking my neck. She barely touched my face. She spent more time on my arms and feet (not part of the service, and not something I wanted) than she did on anything headache related. When she did massage my head, it was more like she was just scratching my scalp. I think once she actually did something in the sinus area, but again, the pressure was so low that I barely felt anything. On top of all that, she tried to talk politics with me at the beginning. I had to say twice, " let's not talk politics". She also asked if I wanted her to walk on my back. Again, not what I signed up for. It was like her specialty is somewhere else, she didn't want to do this massage, and instead tried to turn it into something she wanted to do. I'm incredibly pissed that I had to pay $100 for that. read more

The name of this business is very deceiving. I thought it was an authentic Thai massage place, but it's not. While they have a few services labeled as Thai, the "custom Thai massage" is just hot stones and hot towels, this is not an actual Thai massage. Thankfully, the therapist did her best to adjust for me. The real reason I'm leaving a zero is because of the Thai facial. It was advertised as including a pressure massage, which is exactly what I needed for my sinus headaches. But there was absolutely no pressure, I couldn't even tell my face had been massaged. I asked if they gave me the correct service, and they insisted they had. When I voiced my concerns, they argued with me instead of listening and then told me I had to pay an additional 20% gratuity with no option to adjust the tip. I walked away unsatisfied, uncomfortable, and feeling scammed. I would have happily tipped the massage therapist (she tried), but the facial was a complete waste. Most facials I've had include some scalp, shoulders, and face work, here it was basically arms and a barely-there touch on my face. I wish this had been a real Thai spa, but it wasn't, and being forced to pay extra for a service that failed to deliver made it worse. read more

I enjoyed my visit and felt amazing when I left. he really worked out my soreness & I was more mobile upon leaving. the only draw back was the massage room I was in was up stairs and was a bit of a challenge for me. I had a Swedish massage and she gave me a preview of the deep tissue massage. DO NOT GO HERE FOR A PRENATAL MASSAGE. It took me a while to even process what I just paid for once I left. I showed up early after booking online, thinking that was what I've always done at other establishments. (Limited instructions given when booking online). Person behind the counter smelled like cigarettes when I entered which was my first sign that this place was not the zen spa I had hoped for. The "spa" is run down and in no way relaxing. I was asked to wait in an area that also looked like it served food with a large ice machine and TVs everywhere.. just because you play calming music, it doesn't make the lackluster decor and ambiance more enticing. I was greeted right at my appt time and taken to the same room that my massage would be in. I was never given a robe or hot towel the entire time and rushed through changing and getting on the table. I was there for a prenatal massage, however no extra time was given for me to go to the bathroom, change, or get on the table. Unlike most places, your appt time starts immediately and if you have to go to the bathroom, well that uses your time.. and you aren't given a robe so I guess I would have worn a sheet to the bathroom down the hall? No hooks or even a designated place to put your clothing and the rooms were makeshift at best. It literally looks like fabric stapled to the ceiling and poor quality murals on the walls. My bed was propped with a rag underneath one leg which made me question how sturdy it would be. (I wish I would have taken pictures as I don't feel like I'm explaining just how poorly set up/ outdated the rooms and equipment are) I am bolding this next part so that it will catch your eye as this is a lengthy review. THIS PLACE IS NOT SET UP TO DO PRENATAL MASSAGES as advertised on their website. In fact, their site is a complete 180 from what you actually receive in real life. My therapist tried to make accommodations with the limited resources they had but it was obvious they do not do these often.. (also a bed with a hole in it that you never use does not mean you are equip to doing prenatal massages) and that made me nervous and in no way relaxed. This review has nothing to do with the therapist and everything to do with a poorly run establishment that is cutting corners and deceiving people. I honestly feel like they need to be on one of those tv shows that exposes businesses with an undercover customer filming their experience, so that people can really see how bad it is. At the end, gratuity was added to my bill without telling me- I had to prompt. There was also a half full cup of water sitting on the counter at checkout and I had to ask if that was for me. My advice for this place is to walk across the street to any of the establishments there and ask for a tour. Take notes of their setup and how they greet customers when they enter. See how the rooms are designed, and get a feel for the standard people expect to receive from a quality spa. They use the term "spa" too loosely, in reality this is a MEDIOCRE MASSAGE PARLOR. I look back at the website now- the picture of the pregnant woman lying on her side so relaxed with a flower in her hair and laugh out loud...Fool me once. read more

*My review is for the downtown location.* From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and pampered. Unfortunately we were a couple of minutes late due to weather and parking. (Highly recommend parking in the $4/hr lot just down the street rather than wasting time finding street parking). My friend and I purchased the Me Time package which included a massage, foot scrub, mini facial and bath soak. Brenda provided a firm but relaxing massage, really working out the knots. The facial felt wonderful. The ingredients used didn't irritate my sensitive skin and left my face so soft. The foot scrub was just ok. Likely rushed because I ran late. Following the massage, I was led to a private bath where I soaked in a super hot tub with an aroma of my choosing. I was kinda stuffy so I picked a headache blend. It worked wonders. I wasn't sure what to expect since it was not a true Hot Springs mineral soak. But it felt great. There was also a light snack and a mimosa. Note: you will probably need to get out at some point and turn the overhead exhaust fan on because it gets very hot and steamy. I would not recommend the bath if you have high blood pressure. I kept getting shushed by my therapist. She said the boss would complain. Either the boss needs to chill out or she needs to create better sound proofed rooms. read more

Walked in day-of to get an appointment, the man at the desk was kind and quick, got us scheduled for the same day! We got in and our massage therapists were Atiavo and Tasha, both were fantastic! We certainly got our money's worth and will likely be returning on our next trip. Our couples massages were wonderful and the masseuse was very attentive. The two couples' baths we had were marginal compared to the personalized service and amenities we received at the Chrysalis and Oaupaw Spas. They had robes, slippers, and separate rooms to change in versus getting our clothes wet between baths and massages. The water in the two baths was scalding hot and we had to add cold water both times to cool it off enough to get in the bath. The tubs were not big enough for a couple to comfortably stretch out. There was also a mandatory 20% tip tacked on for all services including the subpar bath experience. This was not disclosed on the website or at booking. The masseuse defiantly deserved a 20% tip or better but not whoever did our bath service. The masseuse did get us robes after they realized we didn't get any to go back to our bath after the massage so that was sweet but still cramped for two people to get dressed and keep our clothes dry. read more

My appointment was at 2 and My therapist didn't start the massage until 2:20. She spent about as much time looking for stuff and circling the bed than she did massaging me. My wife and I booked a couples massage and ended up getting stuck in two separate rooms. We have had much better massages in town for half the price. read more

Definitely the best massage/bath place in hot springs and in addition to the quality of the massage, the customer service was excellent, particularly the woman at the front desk named Whitney. You could tell she really cared about us as customers and even let us in after closing to allow us to book for the following day. Also, made us feel welcomed, was very informative, and gave us recommendations of other things to do in the area! I don't usually spend money on massages, but after Whitney's amazing service I had to book and I'm glad I did because my massage was excellent as well. read more

The receptionist was not very happy or inviting but once we got past her it was a good experience! She was very monotone when we entered but she was then all of a sudden sweet when it was time to ask if we wanted to add on the 20% gratuity. Tasha did a great job with my massage. My husband and I went in for a couples deep tissue massage with add-ons of hot stones and towels. My husband's massage was relaxing however it was not deep tissue and he said it was more hot stone than anything. My massage was have to be hands-down the worst massage I've ever received. I get massages every two weeks and I am a licensed massage therapist myself. The therapist that worked on me had horrible draping skills and kept fumbling with the sheet causing him to miss big portions of my legs, glutes and low back. His transition from movement to movement was choppy and not relaxing, and definitely not deep tissue. The individual moved around the table on a chair, which was very loud And he kept removing his hands from me to get stuff out of a heater. I felt like he spent more time fiddling with things in the room than he did actually working on me, even at one point, his phone was ringing. Another complaint was the individuals sweat. I am aware that you can't help that you're sweating however it was very uncomfortable feeling his clammy, sweaty arms on my legs and back. My husband and I have come to this location few times and always had great service, however, this last experience was not a good one and will cause us to look at other options the next time we have a weekend getaway. read more

It was an out of this world experience! I had a Thai massage and Lymphatic Drainage facial. Caleb and Patricia were exceptional therapists, made sure my massage was catered uniquely to me and I walked out feeling like a million dollars. I will be using these two for any and ALL visits to come. I was more than impressed and just am so grateful to have been cared for by both of them!! I came for a couples massage. I opted for the deep tissue and my partner, the Swedish. I appreciated the ability to mix and match for the lower price of the Swedish. My masseuse was excellent! I don't remember her name but she was a middle-fed Asian woman. Maybe her name was Okinawa?? Or Owala??? She was in constant communication throughout the massage which was such a relief because I have major social anxiety and need to work on speaking up when services I paid for aren't going my way. I probably need some therapy for it too but whatever. It was NICE that I didn't have to have an anxiety-riddled massage because due to her frequent check-ins. The pressure was perfect; deep with the use of elbows, palms and knuckles but not painful. She also stepped on my back and did a small hop to pop my upper spine. It was so drool worthy. I would have chose 10/10 but the owner Amy was there and she shut the water off which made it to where we couldn't do our aromatherapy baths and we were really looking forward to that! I had a wonderful experience! We did an 80 min deep tissue massage and it was worth every penn.

We attempted to book at another nearby salon several days in advance for a massage but nothing was available. This one was recommended and after reading reviews felt it would be a great choice. We had an unfortunate experience. I am sharing this so it does not happen to anyone else. When we searched for the salon in maps we entered the name of the salon - we were taken to a location near Fisherman's Wharf. They people in that space are Asian speaking very poor English and eventually we're able to explain that Thai me had moved to the down town area. As we had arrived just on time - if/when we found the place e were going to be late. We called and asked for the new location and were assured it would be "all right" about being late. We did eventually arrive-since it is downtown we had to find a parking spot, and the people I had arranged this for (out of town elderly guests) had to walk a bit to get to the salon. Anyone who has been an elderly caregiver knows what I am talking about. We check in and I think we actually had done pretty well on time arriving approximately 15 minutes late (many traffic lights). Apologized again and were again reassured that all was good. We left our guests and expected to pick them up in approximately an hour. 40 minutes later I received notice that they had been checked out. Also, charged the entire fee. Our guests said their massage was "short" and "expensive ". It would appear they were charged the full fee. How embarrassing. Yes, we realize we came late, we also called and their address was not updated in maps. However there was nobody else in the salon before or after their massage. There was also some discussion that someone working there had to "catch a bus"??? Obviously they have a no-show/cancellation fee stated up front. But to charge full fee for tardy??? Especially in instances where people are genuinely making an effort. Or it is the fault of not updated address, etc. Either provide the full service or charge for the amount given ( half, etc). I also question this no show fee too. There are things that happen out of people's control. Very unprofessional. read more
