I made an appointment for dip powder. I was in and out within 20 minutes. This is the worst dip service I've ever had. Some of my nails were not fully dipped, my cuticles flooded, nails not shaped, ripples in the finished nails, and not fully top coated. I would not recommend this salon. I didn't recognize how bad my nails were until I went into the sunlight. I will never go back and regret wasting $70. read more

I've been getting my nails done in Charlotte for 35 years; then we moved to Dallas, NC and I was concerned I'd have to drive to Charlotte to get my nails done. I decided to try Chic Nail Spa because of the great reviews, and I am SO glad I did. Over the years I've been to many different salons, but I've never been to one that was even close to being as good. My nails look great. EVERY TIME. And the best part is (like so many others have said) you're treated so well..you can tell they appreciate your business. Needed to get mani-pedi and eyebrows waxed for my daughter's wedding. Had the deluxe pedi choose lavender as my scent...The whole experience was absolutely amazing! The water was perfect temperature, she was gentle with my feet, repeatedly asked me if I needed anything(not so much as to be bothered by it but just the right amount of times). Opted for the regular mani another good experience. I must say this is the first person to clean up my eyebrows rather than wax them too much and then pencil them in! After letting my nails be natural during the move from VA to Gastonia NC, I was on the hunt for a new nail salon to call home. I found it on Yelp (of course), and as soon as I had my new wheels, courtesy of my generous husband and KIA Motors, Off I went, all on my own!! My FIRST trip out and about alone in my very own lease car!! So I walked into Chic Nail & Spa, can I just say that I fell in LOOOOOVE with all of the vintage things they have in the shop?? I joked about taking a chandelier home, because it was so shiny! Comfortable antique chairs to wait in while I chose my color. Now, it would have been easy to try and up sell me on gel polish for my toes, however the gentleman (and Owner) did not attempt to do this, and I am impressed with his integrity. He actually said; "You don't need gel polish on your toes, it's not necessary." I look for small things like this when I am in an establishment. Thank you Chic Nails & Spa for making me feel so welcome and for doing an amazing job on both my full set of acrylics, and tootsies. I've come to this nail salon for a few years and I realized that I wasn't doing my Yelp duties because i hadn't written my review. This place is great. Cong, Dana and Lisa are all a great team. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. They all do a great job on my pedicure. It's a very cute salon. The pedicure chairs are super comfortable and they offer a variety of massages. They have a full range of mani, pedi & waxing services. They also offer gel. They have wall to walls of polish selections. So you should never have any trouble finding a color that suits your style. They love getting to know their clients. If you're a regular, Dana will affectionately give you a nickname. Don't ask my why she calls me Dee-Dee. Lol. read more

As soon as you walk in the door they great you with hello and if you've been there a couple times they call you by name. The atmosphere is very pleasant and you really feel at home. Beautiful chandeliers and antiques are seen throughout the salon. There is nothing lacking in this place. You are in the greatest of care when you're here. What a great find!!!! Today was my first visit since moving to this state recently. I am very used to San Diego nail places. That means cheap and excellent quality. So, I am extremely picky about nails especially acrylics!! I like them thin and to have a very elongated appearance without being long. My nails are gorgeous. Dana was my technician and she was such a sweetheart! She was amazingly fast. The only reason why I deducted points are as follows: I made an appointment and they were about 10 minutes late. I did call only about 45 minutes before to set it but still. The nail brushes are too soft and are not disinfected after each clients use. Which makes me wonder about getting a pedicure here. I will definitely be back. I highly recommend! I will update upon my next visit and tell you how the pedicure is! read more

I had extremely high hopes for this salon. the reviews were incredible and I could see why In hindsight. The family who runs this business are all so sweet, welcoming and made my experience wonderful. They do have a large dog in the salon (this should be clearly stated for any of those who may be allergic or fearful of dogs). My gel acrylic nails started popping off within THREE days and all of them had come off within a week after getting them done. The stylist also did not make sure the nails on each side were the same length (i.e. my thumb nails were 2 different noticeable lengths). the regular polish on the toes actually lasted a LONG time but the pedicure itself was mediocre. I still had SO much dry skin, it was like she didn't even try to get the dead skin off of my feet. I really would've liked to have gone back to this salon but the end results of my manicure and pedicure will have me staying away. read more

I received a pedicure here and the main reason I won't go back is because when she scrubbed my foot with one of those small Pedi eggs that you buy at cvs or whatever, she dumped the shavings back into the water with my feet still in there rather than dumping it in the trash can. First time trying this salon in Gastonia. It's near my office so very convenient. I work in Gastonia but live in huntersville. It was surprisingly easy to get an appointment given the recent reopening after the shutdown. Cong did my SNS nails and his mother Kim did my deluxe pedicure. Enjoyed pleasant conversation with both. I'm so happy with my experience here! They care so much about your nails and making sure everything is how you want it! The lady Rachel I had today was super sweet and took her time making my manicure and pedicure look perfect. She gave really great recommendations on colors and never made me feel rushed or like I was an inconvenience. I payed the same price as I had at other nail salons, but here I got exactly what I payed for. In past experiences (with other salons) I've gotten my cuticles cut multiple times, and nail techs that were so rough I felt hesitant to even go back to a nail salon again.
