Bad food and sent me a dish with chilies that is not listed in the food description. they use other food if they have no other food and make up the food as they go along. Do not recommend them. Wrong food and wrong ingredients and they substitute with cheaper food! Wrong order and charged me for it for delivery for take out a NO! not going to support them again after years of supporting them. Never called back to offer anything! very expensive for inaccurate orders!

It ended up being surprisingly excellent, though! We shared a Vietnamese Roll appetizer. Mom doesn't like peanuts, and they nicely made one without. They weren't rolled very tightly, but they (and the sauce) were good. Mom ordered the Chicken Fried Rice and raved how big and tender the chicken was, and how the rice wasn't old. She did wish there was egg in the dish. I had the Crispy Roast Duck, which was the absolute best duck dish I've ever had! It had a great sweet + savory flavor, the skin was crispy, the meat was tender, and it was boneless! The rice was fine, though less sticky than I'm used to. Delicious food paired with cute decór and late hours make Jalan Jalan a total Galway gem!

Asian Tea House - Miso Soup

Asian Tea House

My wife and I were looking for a place to get tea while visiting Galway and stumbled upon the Asian…read moreTea House, but to our surprise it wasn't open until 5pm, which is a bit unusual for a place only serving tea. To our surprise, despite the name, this was a full-fledged restaurant and bar. So, we found another tea house to spend the early afternoon, and returned that evening for dinner. Upon return, inside we were greater to a very ornate Asian aesthetic inside. Not only did they have a decent selection of Asian teas, but also a rather expansive dinner menu. We were each given a small jasmine tea to start, which was cold brewed (rare to see!) and quite flavorful. I ordered Shredded Duck Noodles for the entree which were delightful. The noodles themselves were very well flavored and chewy. On top of this, there was a surprising amount of duck throughout the dish. Typically you see the protein being skimped on, but not the case here. The asian veggies mixed throughout were a welcome addition as well Overall, it was a great vibe, great selection, and great food. If you enjoy Asian cuisines, you wouldn't be going wrong here.

I ordered black bean beef with tumeric rice. It was a generous portion, with a good amount of very tender beef. I had asked for the peppers that normally comes with the stir fry veggies to be replaced with asian vegetables, and I think I got a few scraps of bok choy and Napa cabbage in the mix. Most of the veggies ended up being scallions and onions. I also ordered one of the Pu-erh teas, as this is supposed to be a strong tea and can steep for a long time in very hot water without turning sour or bitter. While the tea was stronger than most of the teas I've had during my vacation in Ireland, it was still quite a lot weaker than expected. We asked for more leaves to be added to the pot but either they didn't actually add any, or didn't add enough to make a difference in the flavor. Overall a decent restaurant, would recommend to anyone looking for Asian cuisine.

If pictures speak 1000 words, feast your eyes on these four pictures…read more I'll write a few words, anyway. My wife and colleague (Vietnamese from LA) sat at the bar since the place was full.  Be sure to make reservations, especially on a Saturday night.  The vegan friendly menu, deliciously crafted cocktails, and exquisitely prepared Asian fare with strong emphasis on fresh and local ingredients make this the perfect restaurant.  Dishes are cooked as traditionally as possible while everything from the cocktails to the appetizers have their roots based in Asian techniques and flavors.  Lime has the swank of New York City, the unassuming attitude of London, Asian diversity found in San Francisco, taste you'd expect of a restaurant in Singapore; perhaps most importantly....the affable Galway charisma.  Pearse will wow you with his masterful bartender swagger as he mixes top notch cocktails and Conner the maitre d' (man of the house, manager) will charm you with his hospitable, classy demeanor.  They make the atmosphere very fun and inviting in the front of the house meantime the Malaysian chef and Thai sous chef work their magic behind the scenes.  You're reminded often that you and your sense are their priority. Make it a point to visit them. Vlad

We were seated by the hostess, who then also took our orders - and although pleasant, I wouldn't say she was overly awesome. However, she was efficient, albeit in quite a hurry taking reservation orders for dinner constantly. Our table was seated in a nice bay window view overlooking the street, and there was plenty of food to eat with the prix fixe menu. Overall it was a great deal, and we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered (including dessert!). I'm not sure I'd come again for dinner - the lunch was just a great deal overall, and I expect dinner to be pricey.

I still get shocked when I go to review a great place on Qype and nobody else has reviewed it…read morebefore me! Anyway, my fellow Qypers please let me introduce Artisan in Galway. I recently visited this little restaurant for a lunch between Christmas and New Years. Situated on the 1st floor (cosy narrow stairs make you feel like you are calling in on your old French auntie!). A "L" shaped restaurant from what I could see. Greeted by a big smile and given a chose of seats. A table for 2 at one of the window so we could watch down at the shoppers battling the sales and see the world go by. The lunch menu was a mixture of light dishes and hearty meals so the choice is yours. My lunch date went for the beetroot and goat's cheese salad (a regular of hers) and I went for the beef Bourguignon with creamy mashed potatoes. The chef I believe is French and mixes both traditional French and Irish dishes. While waiting for our meal we were offered a choice of freshly baked breads. I went for the curried bread which was delicious. Meals quickly arrived and were perfect. Salad comes in 2 sizes either as a main or starter. The mains size is HUGE. Well worth the money. My beef and mash was flavourful and just the right amount. We both had enough space left for desert so I went for the selection of ice-creams and my friend went for the Coffee/Chocolate mouse. All in all very well priced, calming atmosphere and I'll be back!
