I did two days later another Nail broke so at this point I had taken off the nails and was ready to come get a full fresh set and pay for it since then they have been avoiding me. I called and was directed straight to voicemail. They gave me a direct line to text in which they have not been replying when I called from a blocked number and they heard it was me. They said someone would give me a call back never heard anything back. I've noticed that the only time they try to fix anything is if a review was made the inconsistency of having Nail techs that actually stay. This is actually heartbreaking as I I've have grown use to Yuna doing my nails and now I have to look for another Nail tech.

I just came back today and got a fill - specifically requested for no polish because I have my family member doing it for my wedding reception this weekend. Somehow the fill was still $50 when I used to get full sets with designs starting at $50. When I asked for clarification I just got told "yeah that's right." I also got a pedicure but I wasn't asked what type, just assumed it was the basic one. Yes it was very nice she did great, I also got french tips. But found out that was $62 and again when asking just got told "yeah that's right." Just a bit frustrating when it doesn't seem like the service was extra or "luxury" per se. Yes I understand it's been awhile as well and inflation is a very real thing. I was excited to come back and Andy was sweet and did a great job. I just can't understand the pricing when at other places it's $40 for a pedicure and $35/40 for fills for the same services. We arrived at around 2 pm, it got a little busier after I had to come back to get my nails fixed. The staff was very kind and we had some nice conversations. Environment was spacious and there was no wait time. Amy did gel nails for my friend and Henry did her gel pedicure. She was happy with the results and they did a great job! Speed and quality gets thumbs up for them. My experience was entirely different. Vy did my gel manicure and I asked if she could sand down my vertical ridges on my nails. She said there's nothing I can do but the gel would cover it anyways. Interesting... because that wasn't my experience with other nail techs. I noticed she applied a few coats but the edges were noticeably messy. When she started applying lotion to my hands, I realized she was finished but the results were unacceptable. I showed my friend sitting next to me and she didn't have the guts to tell me until we left. Vy noticed I wasn't happy after I asked her to take a look at the edge of my nails. There was so many areas of missing paint and she began using the drill to sand down the top coat. After that she tried to fix it by repainting another coat over it. I felt terrible even bringing it up so I kept apologizing and thanking her for the extra work. However, her response was a bit concerning: she said, "It's okay, I probably couldn't see." All of my nails? That definitely made me wonder why I would ever come back here. By the time my nails were done with Vy, my friend's gel pedicure and gel manicure were complete. It took about an hour for both of us. After we leave, I see my nails in broad daylight and it magnifies the flaws even more. I sent a photo to my step-sister who owns a nail salon and she told me to go back and have them fixed because it looked terrible. I called them back and Annie picked up the phone. Annie said I could text the photo to them and told me they'd fix it. I come back 30 minutes later and get another nail tech by the name of Andy. Andy looked my nails and had no words, he just apologized. He seated me right away and said they'd do another color for me no problem. At this point I didn't want gel because I didn't want to ever have to come back to this salon again. I was mortified. I asked them to remove the gel and just give me a clear coat but they insisted gel - I had to tell them 3 times I didn't want it. I told him it was my first time here but the difference with Andy was: he delivered high quality work and had a great attitude to be resolving my issues. 10 years of experience and I felt like he actually cared. The ridges on my nails I mentioned to Vy were addressed immediately without me even having to ask. Andy used the drill and sanded it down and also filed my nails. All of these little steps were missed the first time. My family owns a couple of nail salons in the east coast. I can't believe I had to text them these photos. The worst part was I felt ashamed for even having to call the store to complain and come back. Despite my first results, they handled the problem with grace and the customer service of Annie and Andy was appreciated. I basically paid for gel manicure plus tip to get my gel polish removed. I'm so glad I found Blush Nail & Beauty Bar! First of all, this place is BEAUTIFUL. The salon is spacious, bright, clean and relaxing, and the pedicure chairs are gorgeous and incredibly comfortable. The music was also SO GOOD! They were playing what sounded like 2000s R&B, and it honestly added so much to the whole relaxing atmosphere. I also really appreciated that they had a good selection of regular nail polish. I don't get gel, and not once did anyone question my choice or try to pressure me into upgrading to gel. That alone was refreshing. The original color I picked was very sheer, and I asked if they could put white underneath it. They explained that doing that could make it look streaky and recommended choosing another color instead. I didn't end up with the exact color I originally wanted, but I appreciated them explaining why rather than doing something they didn't think would turn out well. I still really like the soft color I ended up with. I chose their least expensive manicure and pedicure package, and I was honestly surprised by how much was included. The pedicure was wonderful -- probably the best foot massage I've ever had. It was so relaxing I was practically falling asleep! It even included paraffin wax. My manicure technician was wonderful too. She gave a great massage and was very gentle and patient with my cuticles. I scheduled a visit a few days in advance for three people and four services and paid an $80 deposit ($20 per service) via Venmo. One person canceled that morning, but I was able to switch to a different service for myself that same day vs. losing my deposit. The two pedicures were fine. They were basic pedicures, and aside from the water initially being extremely hot, I was happy with the results. Because of the deposit, there was also no wait time. The head spa, however, was a completely different experience. This was my first head spa, so I was excited and expected it to be relaxing. Unfortunately, it was anything but. The massage was brief, and despite the menu stating that oils would be used, none were applied. During the double cleanse, the technician used her fingernails rather than her fingertips, which became painful. There was also an excessive amount of cleanser, and rinsing it out was difficult. The water temperature was extremely inconsistent--going from hot to ice cold--and water got into my ear. Instead of feeling relaxed, I was uncomfortable throughout the service. Afterward, my hair was not completely dry. When I asked for serum, I was told it had already been applied, and I had to explain that I wanted my hair fully dried and soft. Another staff member eventually finished drying it, and the end result was much better. The two services totaled $138, or $158 with a 15% tip. I shared all of this feedback with the front desk before leaving. They were receptive and said they would provide additional training. I was also told that the technician was new to the salon and has some communication issues. I appreciate that they listened to my concerns, but based on my head-spa experience, I would not return for that service. *********************************************************** FINAL THOUGHTS Making a reservation requires a deposit, but it does give you priority if there's a wait. PRO TIP: I visited on a Saturday around noon, and it wasn't busy at all. If you're coming in solo, you can probably skip the reservation and deposit. I've had two pedicures here, and the service was totally fine. No issues at all. I also clearly saw the technicians using Barbicide to disinfect their metal tools, although I didn't pay attention to where they pulled the drill bits from. Overall, the salon is CLEAN, which I really appreciate. Personally, I wouldn't get a head spa treatment here again. I was told they're having plumbing issues because the building is old and that their plumber hasn't been able to resolve the problem. However, based on my experience, I feel some of the issues were related to the technician and not just the plumbing. That said, I'd love to hear from others who have had a head spa here. Tim was kind enough to recommend we do a dip over my natural nails and add tips on some nails to make them look even. I told him I wanted them as short as possible and he executed perfectly. I wanted a chrome color and was super excited that they offered the chrome colors on the dip powder and not just a basic static color. The biggest issue wasn't even how my nails turned out it was the cleanliness. The technician's supplies were in what looked like a makeup bag with products and tools thrown together. Nothing was organized, labeled, or stored in a way that is up to state board regulations. The tools and products appeared dirty, and I did not see any sanitizing being done. What bothered me the most was that after filing my acrylic, she dusted my hands off with a makeup powder brush that was visibly caked with old product and debris. It was clearly not clean, and I was honestly shocked that it was being used on clients. My nails turned out mediocre, but the sanitation issues were the real reason I won't be returning. Cleanliness and proper sanitation should be the bare minimum when providing services like these.
