On a recent trip to Montreal, our friend told us about this new bakery that was allergen-free (no…read moredairy, eggs, peanuts, nuts, sesame, gluten, soy, corn, seafood, sulfites, mustard, colorant, fondant). So, because our young daughter is severely allergic to several of those allergies, we knew we needed to check it out. And we're so glad we did! The shop is adorable with beautiful signage and delicious-looking treats. We were given mini-cupcakes to try by the owner and decided to buy a half-dozen full-sized ones to go. We also let our children have cake pops and they said they were great. We also took with us a brownie, cookie, and maple sugar candies (because our daughter NEVER gets to eat out - this was a real novelty for her!). The kids loved everything they had over the course of the next few days. My husband and I had cupcakes and they were delish - you would never know they were allergen-free! Prices for the treats were also great. Usually, for specialty foods, I expect the cost to be higher, but the prices here seemed to be like the prices you'd find at any other bakery. BONBON is pretty new and the owner said there was another location on the North Shore, in Boisbriand. She said the shop we visited in Longueuil was expanding to a larger location too. We were SO happy that we found BONBON! It totally made our day because our daughter could eat without worry. If we lived in Montreal, we would be back regularly, but unfortunately, we are from the US and only vacationing. I wish this shop much luck!!

The latter is for the ones who live in Longueuil, where they delivered directly from Bomboloni Boss. However, my blood pressure will ask me to cool off after eating this Italian dessert. The place is beautiful decorated with cakes, desserts, and candies of all sorts. For the ones with a sweet tooth, you can find some creative things. The kids are offered workshops in the period of the year where the kids can make their own small version of their cake. What about customer service? It is courteous and quite fast.

It's a compact space so three customers gathered around the register looked and felt like a line out the door, but the staff are friendly and accommodating.
