Wanted something a little lighter for breakfast and wasnt in the mood to sit at a restaurant one morning. Walking through Fontainebleau and Chez Bon Bon looked like a good place to stop. I ended up getting the sausage breakfast sandwich, which was actually pretty hearty, and one of the special St Patty's Day coffees. Both were good. Definitely Vegas/hotel prices for everything. Ours were well packaged in a plastic container and in a cute bag with their tuxedo logo. Napkins and utensils were off to the side adjacent to their coffee creamers. Salads tasted fresh and delicious. I could not ignore the options for gelato that I saw earlier and got back in line to order. I chose pistachio and the Mr. chose a scoop of blueberry. Creamy, rich, and exquisite. In the middle of a Friday afternoon, there were maybe 5 customers ahead of us and then several behind me at once. Later on after we finished our salads, the line was about 10 customers ahead of me. The order takers and cashiers were kind and kept the lines moving. Located in the new hotel; FountainBleu Hotel. The 24 hour bakery has bright lights and a very welcoming ambiance. Service is sparse so you may have to chase down a worker or too, but once you know what you want its not too bad. I've had many visits and the only repeat negativity is the price. Its true strip prices. The juices in the cooler are delicious and refreshing, especially on a hot summer day. Bakery items are always hit and miss, but they do change them up which is nice. The flat croissants were my latest venture and I got both the pistachio and the chocolate. Each one was $12 and honestly underwhelming. The croissant wasn't as crunchy as I hoped, but in some parts it was. It was a bit weird texturally, but the flavor was good..so idk how to really feel. Thankful that they have hours of availability! The second floor cafe does not open early. As you enter, it is noticeably bright and clean. They have a wide variety of pastries. Their almond Croissant is big enough for two people to share :) This had superb butter flakiness with generous almond paste filling. We loved every bite of it! For beverages, they also have an excellent range of coffee and tea. While I wasn't quick enough to snap pictures of the matcha latte, it was nicely done with steamed soy milk. The seasonal special coffee was Honey Bun Latte. This had just the right amount of honey and cinnamon. We requested steamed almond milk in this and it was lovely. Great way to start our day. Wished they had more seating and tables though. We went at a time when all the tables were filled so we walked over to the south gate but the cushioned seats were just steamed cleaned and still damp. Shoutout to whomever this "Bon Bon" is. Chez Bon Bon, which would translate to the House of Bon Bon, is a grab-and-go style 24/7 spot at Fontainebleau. It's located near the South Lobby of the hotel, and it offers French pastries, a coffee and tea menu, and a surprisingly good gelato selection. I sampled multiple gelato flavors and decided that the fruit sorbets felt just a bit light. However, the cold brew coffee and pistachio were good enough to order a double scoop ($11; single is $7). Both were very creamy and richly flavored, and the pistachio has real pistachio flavor and not fake almond. I also tried the Cappuccino ($8). The employee started making it while completing the point of sale process, and it was ready very quickly. Admittedly, this isn't the drink I try the most from coffee menus, but this was the most delicious version I've had in recent memory. The upper layer was frothy, and the coffee layer was strong but balanced. The next morning, I had a Croissant ($8) which I took to-go. The exterior was flaky and the inside was very airy. It was buttery enough too. It holds its own against the other great croissants around town. I was surprisingly pleased with everything I tried here. In the morning, we ordered the egg white wrap, a banana walnut muffin, a cold brew, and a Mexican mocha (?) latte. The egg white wrap and banana walnut muffin were not good. There were sections of the wrap that had ALL tortilla (that was hard as a rock based on how they heated it up) and all in all, just not tasty at all. Why can't we have things that are healthier and also taste good? Especially with how much it costs. The banana muffin was dry and also a bit bland. The cold brew was okay, on the more sour side if that's how you like your coffee, and the latte was pretty good. We came back later and ordered a bunch of pastries despite the morning's disappointment (I wanted to believe I just ordered the wrong things). We got apple fritters (shaped like an apple, how fun!), a slice of Hummingbird cake, and a cinnamon roll. The hummingbird cake might be one of the best carrot cake-esque cakes I've ever had. The apple fritter and cinnamon roll were both delicious without being too sweet. Even my husband, who's usually not a fan of cinnamon rolls because they're overly sweet, enjoyed it! These are definitely great desserts to treat yourself with or would be great as a gift for someone else if you wanted to wow them. The pastries look dope but the service is a nope. I'm not sure about the legality of what took place but I want to let you know so you can be aware. We paid in cash and were told "we don't give coins back" and that was it. We were okay with the $11.92 for the one bottle of Fiji because we knew the cost. Located within the Fontainebleau hotel, this 24-hour café has a lot of good bakery items, gelato, and sandwiches that tastes not bad. Usually this place is pretty packed during the day, but one can easily take everything to the room to enjoy, so lines have been fast. My favorite item was the strawberry cheese gelato, which had strawberry jam and a creamy taste. The croissant and the smoked salmon sesame bagel were good as well, with the croissant having filling that resembled such found in pineapple buns, along with the exterior crunchy texture, offered a good experience. The bagel came with a good amount of salmon and the smoked salmon was tasty. The blueberry cinnamon roll was huge and had a good amount of filling inside, and the texture was soft inside as well. However, the outside was dry to the point of having a hard texture which didn't turn out to be enjoyable. The avocado toast had a lot of creative ingredients such as radish, wonton pieces, and so on, and truthfully did not work out well. The flavors for the different ingredients didn't work with each other, so the avocado toast was only an okay experience. In terms of price, it was affordable in comparison to establishments around the area in the hotel, so one could find solid options to make oneself full, and I would give credit for such. read more

Wow. Fresh pastries and gelato give me all the feels. We enjoyed breakfast here most days of our stay and it did not disappoint. They have coffee, cookies, tea, water bottles, soda (coke, zero), granola yogurt, fresh fruit, gelato and fresh pastries. They also have breakfast croissants, wraps, eggs with bacon and toast and sandwiches. Service moves really smooth every day despite the lines. It's pretty small so we didn't eat there and chose to get our meals to go. I did see people with laptops working quietly. The ambiance is European with a Vegas flair. Dress code is comfy casual. Edgar, our server, brought it all to our table in a timely fashion. He was friendly and helpful. We shared the egg and bacon breakfast plus I ordered my favorite, the chocolate chip cookie with a mocha coffee and my daughter had the almond croissant and the Lovers coffee.
