They have car wash and twelve pumps which allow free flow of customers to allow easy access. The price at pump is reasonable and just right. During the hurricane Irma, they only run out of gas at the day before hurricane hit. Rest room is in order and toilet seat has seat sanitary paper. The clerk is attentive. Overall gas station pump area is clean. Since this in remote area, I seldom see panhandling.

(1st one is on Gulf to Bay Blvd in Clearwater) What I love about this Thorntons is it's gas price. It's the lowest among the three nearest stations, those being Rallys and Racetrac. New to the area they are the first to lower their price then the other two match it. It's great for the consumer! Also of interest is the newer concept of fast food inside the store. They have quite a variety. Cold ready made sandwiches are in a case, Cuban, Ham and Cheese, Chicken Salad, Tuna Salad to name a few. They have hot sandwiches such as Grilled Chicken, Fish and Cheese, BBQ Rib, and Italian. They have Jumbo Hot Dogs, Polish Sausage, Pepper Jack Sausage, and Spicy Sausage. They also offer hot Tornado's which are similar to burritos without the beans, Meatball Marinara, Southwest Chicken, Cheese Burger, and Pepper Jack Cheese. There is also a fresh condiment station with grated cheese, hot peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. Quite a large variety of coffee's too, hot and iced. Different flavored Fizz Freez ( think Slurpee). Assorted fountain drinks any size for 89 cents. So this is the new kid on the block, raising the bar in the gas/fast food/convenience store market. Supposed to be a Wawa's being built on the other corner at this intersection. I love competition, don't you? So why the three stars?........Come on now, it's still a gas station!

And if you are going west on Tampa Road after you are done, it's an uncomplicated right turn on to Tampa Road. When the prices are low, and they are usually lower than surrounding gas stations, it can be busy! So bring your patience. Gas pumps are easy to operate and gas flows quickly once you get to a pump. No service is necessary unless you have a problem. Every time we have gassed up here, we have not needed service. So I can't speak about the people inside the small store adjoining the gas pumps.

This was a must as we aren't from the area and didn't want to go driving around in a foreign land looking for gas. The pay at the pump worked. We were easily able to get 2 gallons without an issue. Thankfully there wasn't a minimum. We had a rental car and barley drove anywhere so all we needed was gas to get from Orlando to Tampa to our hotel and back to the Tampa Airport. I was surprised that we had such a fuel efficient car that we only needed 2 gallons. The gas station was clean and looked pretty new. There were no vagrants on the property looking for handouts like they do in California in some of the stations. Everyone at the gas station left room so other could use the tanks. The person in front of us should have pulled up more, but we were still able to squeeze in and get some gas and not having to wait for them to leave. I had my doubts, but my husband was able to pull it off.

He was patient with me despite my panic and kept me level headed all while allowing me to use his phone to make arrangements with the rental company. The roadside assistance never showed up, and by this time my flight was already boarding 40 minutes prior to departure. The attendant then knew a mechanic who came into the store and voluntarily asked him if he'd be able to help me get in my car. He actually WAS able to help me and shockingly, I made my flight by 1 minute! I can't thank him enough! I never got his name, unfortunately but he worked Saturday 9/27 at around 2pm. This man deserves a raise!! His family raised a great human being. I won't forget what he did for me.

Today, I filled up with 87 octane using BP gasoline and my car is performing perfectly for the first time in several months. I'm very pleased with the quality of gas here.
