As a local, I'm very grateful to have the Columbia Market (which has a locals discount) for having my back whenever I forget things in town. This store works hard to carry everything from fresh produce & deli items (amazing take & bake pizzas & parfaits) to things us locals sometimes need in a pinch (eggs, half & half, sugar). Not to mention they basically have a full liquor store, and great deals on the little mini-shooters that I like to use for stocking-stuffers during the holidays. I bought my mom a quality (touristy) Columbia River Gorge hat here once, it's very cute and she wears it all the time. Essential stop for PCT thru-hikers resupplying.

A town the size of this it is not hard to get to know the good places to go either, it's a bonus to small towns. I have found after several trips out here that Main Street Texaco and Convenience is the place to get your fuel for mind, body and automobile. The mini-mart is impressive with everything you could want and for a small town they keep the fuel prices reasonable. How much more could you ask of this place? Clean restrooms you say? Check! Clean as any I have seen in my travels. Good solid place to stop and take a break.

It is supposed to be illegal for you to be required to pump your own gas. The way these guys get…read morearound pumping your gas for you is that they wait forever inside the store hoping that you get so frustrated. Just get out and do it yourself. I am disabled and it is very difficult for me to get around my car and put my gas. It seems to be a trick that most gas stations are doing now to avoid doing any work. I waited out here for quite some time before the guy saw me having difficulty popping gas and then finally came out, but it was too late. I already completed it. I wish these guys along with other gas stations would quit playing games. And I'm trying to take advantage of the new law. There are several gas stations that I will no longer go to in this one. Just made it to that list.
