I come here solely for the car wash. There's always a line, takes around 20-40min to get through but it's the only self drive service in the area. Wow don't be fooled by the 7 cars in front of you. Each car takes like 5-10 minutes to move through. If you don't have an hour or more to wait. This is not the place for a car wash. Being the only automated car wash in the area this place is usually very busy, and, as as such the quality of the service is non existent. There are no markings for the line for the wash on the grounds. I proceeded to line up behind the last car of what seemed to be at the end of the line, only to be confronted by one of the workers who yelled at me to move. In Spanish. I proceeded to complain to the station manager, who seemed not to care. Didn't even apologize for my experience and completely failed to answer my question on how the lining up for the was was regulated. This must be the slowest car wash I have ever encountered. I've been waiting for half an hour now and it's still not my turn. The line goes so slowly. I don't understand why it's taking forever. The La Brea Spot Free car wash at this Chevron is fantastic, it's a brushless wash and comes with a vacuum and tire shine for only $15.00. There's usually 2-3 attendants working the wash. The line can take a long time because it's a small operation but it's worth the wait. They are open late, and have great service. This is my regular stop. Fast and clean. Staff working there is always very respectful and helpful. They do accept credit card and cash, so stop, choose payment and your service on touch screen and washing will start shortly. There is also detailing option, with vacuuming where one of the staff will assist you. Cleaning is fast just make sure to get there earlier during the day, as after 5pm lines are huge. I came here after having lunch with a cousin of mine. I was in need of fuel, caffeine, and a pit stop, so here we came. The place is under construction, but the station was operating from a makeshift building while the main building was being renovated. Restrooms are two porta-poties, and not too clean. But that's usually expected of porta-poties. The gas prices were comparable to other stations in the area. The only fix I didn't get here was the caffeine, but Coffee Bean and Urth are not too far from this place, so no worries. The whole experience was pretty hassle-free. read more

The dry is pretty much non existent and doesn't really clean the car well, mine came out with a bunch of dirty spots and pretty much they didn't care. Manager was not on duty during regular business hours and the ppl working here say he will not give money back or rewash the car. That their car comes out completely clean. Funny thing, mine didn't. They said my car should have been extra dirty (which it wasn't). Don't pay for the $24 wash! It's a rip off - you're paying $6 more for shiny tires, access to the vacuum, and a "complete dry". None of those things exist! There's no tire dressing, no person drying, and no free vacuum. I even tipped the guy who initially let me in to the car wash $5 for scrubbing the windows beforehand. So basically I paid $29 for a $14 wash. The wait is also RIDICULOUS. Each car is over 13 mins. I saw only 3 cars before me and thought I would give this a try since the website says each car is under 5 mins. After waiting 20 mins I was essentially trapped in a line with no way out. So I lost 45 mins of my day, and my car looks like it hasn't been washed (I'm assuming "Spotless Car Wash" is irony?) Go to another car wash. Any other one. You will be so much happier. read more

RUDE AND TIME WASTERS! I never write bad reviews but this time the mess with my time that for me is more important than money. I arrive huge line (am cool with it) they have different pricing for wash, soon I realize there is no difference, just go with the cheap one you get the same exact wash than the expensive one. When is finally my turn I ask for the interior of my car and they told me that they do this only till 3pm (there is no sign anywhere saying that). I needed the interior more than the exterior. Wish I knew before doing 30 min line. After they washed my car was still dirty (even tho I got the "ultimate wash") their answer was that I needed the detailed cleaning but it was too late now. I said ok. They vacuum the interior. And did not dry the windshield of the car. I had to tell them to do every single step and they had the worst attitude like they were doing me a favor. My go to drive thri car wash. Very cheap and does a decent job. Lines are long but it moves gradually. I get the basic wash and it cleans pretty well. I do get some wet spots since their air dryer at the end does get off all the droplets. I do t mind it so much for the price though. read more

The person who washed my car yesterday seemed angry.....He used that stick that has a small cloth on the end of it and banged it against my car door scratching it in several places. He just banged it as hard as he could.... really an angry nervous person.... I now have damage to the car door. Car wash only! My car was in a desperate, desperate need of a wash but I didn't have $20+ to blow on it. So after looking on yelp for what seemed like forever I finally decided to give this place a go since so my car wash spots have crazy mixed reviews. It's easy to get to & even though I went on an "off" time there still was of line of about 5 cars in front of me. I ended up waiting about 30 minutes to get washed. I did notice the line got much longer as I waited so do be aware you're probably gonna be waiting a while. I was really anxious because I didn't realize til after I got there & was reading more reviews that I needed to tip the guys?? I came specifically because I'm cheap & didn't have cash to tip a human - I wanted a machine lol. But luckily the guy didn't ask for a tip. There is a tip bucket but the person in front of me didn't tip either, so no idea if other guys ask for them upfront as some reviews say, but he didn't ask me. I got the basic $6 wash & after the guy sprayed my car down I went in & waited for the magic to happen. It was over in like 5 minutes & it did a pretty good job! My car was so dusty & disgusting before, like you could legibly write on my car, but it came out all shiny & clean. Did it get every spot? Absolutely, by far, the worst car wash I've ever received. From start to finish a horrible experience. I tried to go inside to a manager after to complain but the line was quite long and I had to be somewhere. I reached out to Chevron corporate and am waiting on a response. When I first pulled into the gas station / car wash, the cars were backed up into a lane that ultimately blocked a couple gas pumps. I had to pull into this line, or otherwise I'd end up outside of where all the cars were queueing. For some reason, the angry man operating the car wash decided to single me out. He aggressively approached my car, and yelled, "THIS IS FOR GAS CUSTOMER. YOU ARE NOT A GAS CUSTOMER. USE OTHER LANE." I attempted to explain that I was in the line of other cars, and that only 2 minutes earlier another employee had specifically asked me to back up (into the area I was in), to avoid blocking the driveway. He completely ignored me, avoiding eye contact, and walked away. I shouted, "Excuse me, I'm talking to you," which he also ignored. When it was finally my time to select my car wash type and pay, I did so promptly. The same man walked in front of my car, blocking me from pulling forward, and simply pointed angrily at the machine. I exclaimed, "What?!" and he just kept pointing. He then walked over and pushed the "Print Receipt" button on the screen. I explained to him that I didn't want to waste the paper -- once again, no response, he just stormed off. Now to the car wash itself. I'm attaching videos and pictures so you can see how truly embarrassing of a "wash" it was. Not only did it not remove any dirt, spots, grime, etc. but my car was still SOAKED after it was finished. I will be requesting a full refund (at least) from Chevron, and I highly recommend everyone avoid this place until they get their act together and start representing the company in a way I'm sure corporate would expect. read more

Reasons I like car washes at gas stations: 1) Quick 2) No need to tip 3) Cheap 4) No need to get out of the car Well, forget about #1 and #2 at this Chevron. On a Sunday afternoon, the line was about 8 cars deep, which didn't seem that long, but I ended up waiting about 50 minutes. 5 minutes a car, I guess that makes sense. They have guys there that scrub your car down before you go in, who you do need to tip, so forget about #2 also. They have various washes here, ranging from $6 to $15, so it could be cheap if you opted for the $6 wash. I went for the $10 and I'm not convinced that it was much better. My expectations are much lower for this type of car wash than a hand wash - you get what you pay for - but with all the high ratings, I expected the wash to be better than others of this type. It wasn't really. My car is definitely cleaner than it was before, but the back of the car is still really dirty. I can't imagine paying $15 plus tip to get my car washed here. I'd probably only come back for a $6 wash if I happened to be driving by and saw there was no line. read more
