Rick became our fwy angel in a tow truck right when we needed him. I was panicking and AAA called him and he came in about 40min and he took us to a hotel after dropping our car off at the hyundai service place. He was answering calls for people the whole time but driving safely and organizing and delegating others to help out customers bc one of their trucks were out. He made the paperwork smooth for us, I got a smoothie and they had clean restrooms! he kept the air on and conversation flowed so that we could relax. He is jovial and hard working too! read more

My husband and I stopped here to get gas on our way down to Las Vegas. A man stepped in to clean out windshields as soon as we parked and then looked at our tires without us asking. We were pulling a UHaul so we knew we'd be an easy target. He immediately pointed out a tire that needed replacing and said it was best to replace all four. My husband told him that they were new tires and we just would take the back 2 new ones. While my husband was inside, the same man tried convincing me to get 2 new ones on the front. I should have known that he would attempt to con a woman while she was alone. Fortunately my husband came out. This place is a trap for making you buy tires when you don't need them!! My RV started shaking over 50 mph on my way to MT. I stopped at the tire shop at Chevron, they came right out and diagnosed the bubble in my tire. I was on a tight budget so they hooked me up with a like new used tire. They didn't charge anything to mount or balance! Then even gave me another like new tire for my spare in case I had any problems later down the road. Rick you are the most caring and nicest person on this earth! Now for our story: Me and my gf were on vacation in Utah (We are from Michigan) so we flew out and rented a car for our vacation. Unfortunately the car seemed to be having some transmission issues so Budget Rental (Worst company on the planet and i will never deal with budget/avis ever again!!) called a tow truck for us to be towed to the nearest rental car place to get a replacement vehicle. Rick called and said he was on his way! He came fast and kept great communication with us until he arrived to make sure he could get to us. The trip with him to get the car swapped was amazing! He told us all kinds of info about the mountains and the area and basically was a personal tour guide for our towing journey. He even made sure to stick around in case Budget could not get me a car so i was not stranded there. I know, I know what you're thinking. "How can you leave a review for a GAS STATION?!" No but you really don't understand. Lol. I ALWAYS HAVE TO MAKE A STOP AT THIS SPECIFIC GAS STATION. Haha. Luckily my Cadillac ATS is gas efficient and I only use about half a tank before stopping in Beaver(needed to get to Garland/Tremonton and Logan) from Vegas. Let me just tell you, the second you pull up to a pump. Either 1 or 2 gentlemen will walk up to your car(don't get scared, you ain't in the hood) and will wash your windows and pump your gas. And get this.. YOU CAN PUMP BEFORE YOU PAY! INSIDE the gas station is a Dairy Queen and clean bathrooms. They have a wide wide array of selections of food and beverages. The ladies up front at the registers seemed very nice, but I felt like they were lowkey judging me. And it was confirmed after our brief conversation. CASHIER: would you like a sack? ME: a sack of what ma'am? CASHIER: -staring at me without blinking- a sack..... For your... A BAG... for your things? Would you like a bag for your things? Yeah, a little awkward. Anyways. Outside ALL my windows were cleaned, gas tank full. I tried to tip the gentlemen and they kept refusing and insisted that they're just "old fashioned." How cute. But of course I told them if they don't take the money I would never come back (poker face). So finally he takes it with hesitation and kept thanking me. Like how cute is that tho seriously. I don't usually take time to leave reviews, but man, if you're broken down nearby this shop, you couldn't have broken down in a better place. Rick is a great man, and a very knowledgeable mechanic. My Subaru broke down on the side of I-15 last night, and he came and gave me a tow back to the shop. I always stop at this Chevron when passing through, whether my car needs a full tank of gas, or quarter tank of gas, I will fill up. The customer service is great. In 2004 after my divorce Beaver, Utah became 1/2 way point for child custody drop off. I remember the first custody exchange vividly as I was getting gas sobbing/balling my eyes out Jed came out to check on me... he washed the windows and talked to me while the gas was pumping. His words of encouragement stuck with me that day. On a holiday weekend, Rick started as our AAA tow while broken down on the side of the I-15. We soon realized he was a highly skilled, experienced mechanic and a wonderfully kind human being!!!! Best Chevron in the Western US. I have been stoping in to this service station since 1986 when the battery on my VW Rabbit went out when I was heading from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City to attend college. 27 years later I am still stopping in and it feels like home. Here are my top reasons for this place being the best: 1. Service - they are a full service station with a self-service price. they will pump your gas and wash your windows and help in any way they can as soon as you pull in. 2. Bathrooms - the bath rooms were remodeled a number of years back and they are big, well designed and always clean. The new design showed they know that everyone who stops on a road trip at a gas station needs to use the restroom and they made them right. 3. Car Repair - i mentioned they fixed my car in years past and it was not a highway robbery. It was done right, fair and while I waited. 4. Pop corn machine - they have fresh pop-corn and nothing goes better with a diet coke then a bucket of pop corn as I head down the road. 5. People - the workers there are great - they know the drill, most are family members of the owner in some way or another and they get you in and out without any drama. I have a long story for this place after being stranded for two long hot frustrating days here but I'll just keep it simple since there are other people who had it worse; It's self service here but they're offering full friendly service to pump your gas,clean your windshields/windows and check your oil for you. But if your car break down don't expect it to be fix right away they only have one main mechanic as far I see it doing everything he's one busy dude and all the 10 other guys you see walking around the shop really rely on this one guy. They can change out your tires or do an oil change and pump air into your tires other than that they're going to tell you you'll have to wait for their mechanic to get back to fix the bigger problems (he does a lot of towing by the way during the day) All the tech will tell you different things "oh he will be back in half hour" the next "oh he's not here until tomorrow " little things like that and you will not get updated until you find out yourself stuck another night. I really think they should start getting more mechanics or train some of them young guys to fix real things seriously. After two days sitting outside observing that's really all I see going on around. So yeah overall service at the gas station was friendly alright but getting an auto service wise is 1/10. My 82 year old mother was on her way from Colorado to Southern California and ran into car trouble along I-15 just ten mile north of Beaver. She called AAA and they dispatched Rick from the Chevron who towed her to the station and took a close look at her car. After isolating the damaged parts, he contacted me to go over the full extent of repairs, which required that parts be ordered from out of town. He provided all services at a very fair rate and even discounted the parts. Since the parts wouldn't arrive until the next day, Rick went as far as to find my mother a room at a nearby hotel (and secured the discounted AAA and senior rates) so that she would have a safe place to spend the evening. He called promptly when the parts arrived and gave an accurate estimate of the completion time and had her back on the road before noon. I cannot express my gratitude enough to Rick and his co-workers at Chevron Beaver Valley, they took what was a potentially costly and dangerous situation and provided OUTSTANDING customer service!!! I'm no stranger to gas stations coast to coast, but this station is one of the cleanest and friendliest ones around. The minute we pulled in our windows were wiped down; asked the attendant who came over if it was full service and he said it wasn't, "we just do things a little different here." Plus there's a Dairy Queen inside so you really can't go wrong. Right off he highway as well, I plan on stopping here on each of my trips out to Cali from here on out! And they sell beaver souvenirs. I threw a wheel on my dual axle trailer and Rick got us back to his shop and then was able to find the parts and fixed the wheel drum, brakes, and tire the next morning; which is amazing because I have a 1996 trailer. I'm grateful for his help because he helped us out of a tight spot because we were moving cross country, I had my wife, three kids, and three dogs with me and I was towing my motorcycle and a bunch of other stuff packed full in the trailer, and Rick (& his son in law and daughter) were the best. I have never stopped at a gas station and received the kind service we received here. It was Sunday, very cold and windy and not one but TWO gentlemen came out and started washing our front and side windows as well as the rear view mirrors. One also did the back window. They made kind conversation with my husband. We were taken aback a bit by it. My husband went inside the store and said that the genuine kindness carried on into there as well. While he was in the store the gentlemen made sure the fill was complete and returned the pump to the stand for us. We will make it a point to stop at this station from now on. After a very frustrating week I found myself driving home to LV from SLC...long story short...I stopped at this Chevron station for gas where one of the attendants began washing my windows, then proceeded to check my tire pressure. After a quick check, the nice man (who I will forever be great-full to &call my angel) said "ma'am, this is only a suggestion but would you mind pulling into our garage", I was surprised, but did. He then lifted my car up and showed me that the inside of my tires were dangerously bad...I explained I was on my way home to Vegas & he told me I would not make it. I remember full service gas stations when I was a kid...these guys never stopped doing it. I have been stopping here for over 30 years as I travel back and forth through the middle of Utah and have never had a bad experience. Clean bathrooms and the friendliest people you will ever meet. They are always going out of their way to serve. Just last night I stopped for a drink and the cashier had gone out of her way to help a woman who was sick. Never mind she had just puked her guts out in the bathroom leaving who knows what kind of mess behind, her first concern was the woman...offering her something to settle her stomach as she was slowly making her way back to her car. My wife and daughter were driving cross country from IA to CA in terrible weather (rain and snow). Unknown to me, the back tires were worn out on my daughter's car causing it to hydroplane often. As they were approaching Beaver, UT, they called me at home and said they keep hydroplaning and need to buy 2 new rear tires. I checked reviews on line and told by wife to go to Beaver Valley Chevron based on their high marks. Troy answered my phone call and was very helpful and honest with me regarding tire recommendations. Once my girls arrived, they were helped immediately. The guys there were so nice and helpful. They texted me photos of the tires so that I could see exactly how bad they were. The rear tires were about as bald as you could get them. I'm amazed they didn't spin off the road. Beaver Valley Chevron really could have price gauged me in this situation, but they didn't. They were honest and forthright with their recommendations. I ended up buying four Cooper CS5 Grand Touring tires at a fair price. I did not get a smoking deal, but I also did not get overcharged. I paid a fair price for the product I received, but more importantly the service was outstanding and honest. My girls got home safely, and the guys at Beaver Valley Chevron took great care of them, for which I am truly grateful. read more

We recently were on a Saturday afternoon trip to the local dairy there in Beaver, when our truck unexpectedly stalled out near the off ramp. We called AAA and they sent Rick Jarvis form Beaver Valley Chevron out with the tow truck to get us home. In about 5 min he had the problem diagnosed and our truck started and ready to head back without the tow truck, but Rick didn't want us heading down the road without being 100% we could get back. We loaded up the truck and Rick even took us by the dairy to get what we came for. We then headed back down the road and had a great conversation with Rick on the way.
