When we moved to Tooele about 5 years ago I wanted to make sure I did all things Tooele. I wanted to only use Tooele businesses and support them. This backfired immensely in this regard to the tune of thousands of dollars. My wife asked me to write this and I was reluctant because I don't want to bash a local business. She said I'm not bashing a local business as much as I am helping my neighbors. That makes sense to me so I will do my best to protect you. Do not use the service department here. I have taken my car here about 4 times spending hundred/thousands each time, adding up to a few grand for a car that I clearly explained was old but it's paid off and is my daily commuter to work. I was told it was fixed multiple times only to experience the same problem shortly after leaving. Calls are not returned. Cars will sit on their lot without being serviced for literal weeks until you reach out to them and ask them what's going on, and then they will give you some guess work synopsis that they had come up with days prior and never called you about. They will then tell you they can do the work and that it will take another week to complete when they could have called you 4 days previously to tell you and already have your car done. One time I dropped my car off on a Wednesday knowing I was going out of town and wouldn't need it until Tuesday in order to give them plenty of time. By Saturday I had received no call and I called them and was told they needed to order a sensor for my car and needed my permission to order it and install it before the took action. They found out about this on Thursday and had never called me. I told them to order it and then on Tuesday, a full week later I called them back and they had the sensor I already paid for and wanted to know if I needed them to install it. I said clearly that's what I want but now I'm back in town and need my car back to go to work tomorrow. So I picked the car up and asked them to call me when they can install this necessary sensor they told me to buy. They never called me, they have this sensor I spent over $200 on and have a receipt for, and I'm simply out this money. The kicker is that today after 4 solid years of forking over thousands of dollars to this entity, my wife got upset and told me to go to a different dealership. I went to the Gus Paulo's in West Valley and they had the issue resolved within 4 hours and gave me an exact pick up time plus a paid for Lyft back to work while they did the needed fixes. When I told them if they need help diagnosing issues they could call the Tooele dealership and get a history. They laughed and said that it's well known among dealers around the Salt Lake area that the Tooele dealership is notoriously known for poor service and that they don't fix cars. That's the information. So make your own decisions. My opinion: They aren't criminals, thieves, or dishonest. I believe they are simply inept and incapable and mal-trained in what they claim to be specialists of. They probably don't even know that they have a part I purchase but never had installed that's worth hundreds of dollars. They don't hire people who take care of or are capable of fulfilling their obligations to their customers. I am 100 percent ripped off and I allowed it by going back again and again. Wow..........if I could leave negative stars. Took our car there and told them what was wrong. And told the tech Lorenzo what we believed the problem was and asked if he could fix it. He stated YES !!!!!!! after we got the no call from them I had to call and ask what is the problem. He said everything I stated to him. But at this time it could not be fixed by them they don't have a mechanic comfortable to do the repairs and don't have the tools to do the work. it would be extra cost to me to buy them. I stated why would I buy the tools for your mechanic that don't feel comfortable to do the work? They said it's just a suggestion. Let me tell you all the car needed was a water pump and a thermostat to be replaced. The car is under a warranty, but the only way the diagnostic can be paid out is if the shop doing the work can do the work. I had to call the service manager and ask them why they could not do the work and let them know that I'm not paying for the diagnostic if you can't perform the work on the car. I also talk to the Warranty Company and ask them. How are they trying to charge me for a diagnostic when they don't have a technician qualified to do the diagnostic for the work Because they told me they don't have a qualified technician to perform the work with the right tools so disappointed. Now the vehicle has to be towed to another shop to have another diagnostic on the car and then get the work performed by a professional that can do the work all the way in Salt Lake City. I will never take any vehicle to this place ever again and I still had to pay for one minute worth of a diagnostic at $139 and that's what it stated on the paperwork. this is the worse dealer to work with when it comes to the service department. I dropped my truck off to have a def fluid sensor replaced and 5 weeks later I still don't have my truck back. They had to get the part but that came the next day so it wasn't because of needing parts. They never communicate anything to their customers unless you are the one calling them. You would think that they would make a simple phone call to let you know why it's taking so long but they never do. They don't even return calls when you call and nobody is available to talk at the moment. the job it no more than a 5 hour job and for it to take more that a month to complete is absolutely ridiculous. Every time I called to see the status they would just say there are no lifts available or techs available. If they don't have a tech or lift available then why make an appointment to have the job done. Don't ever bring your vehicle to this dealer to do service If you want a good experience because this dealer has no idea how to do their job in an efficient manner and has no idea what good customer service is. I even called their parts department today three time to see if they had a part for another vehicle and nobody was ever available or returned my call. read more

G&R Diesel Performance did NOT produce a quality refurbished engine. VERY disappointed in the service and no confidence in engine after receiving a dirt engine then tested valves showing poor performance (got pictures and video). Clearly no quality control on a product that we should have been able to install in the truck and drive. Fighting for a refund. Sad, had to put in a compliant with BBB. If "made in America", stand by your product. This maybe one of the reasons why jobs are going oversea to other countries :( read more

Customer service is lacking. Drove over to set an A/C appointment at noon, because I could not reach the shop by phone. Got the van over Friday night at 5:50p.m., so it could be looked at first thing Saturday morning. Was concerned when no call at 3:00 p.m. Drove up & Assistant Manager just said was real busy & didn't get to it. I guess appointments are not honored at Performance Chevrolet. This place is way in the boonies but holy crap worth the drive! The awesome thing about these guys is that they are hungry. Meaning, driving through the Great Salt Lake mosquito poop cloud is way worth the huge price difference. Another bonus I discovered. The sales Tax is lower in Tooele! Bonus! The prices here are always better than eBay and destroy every other dealer in the surrounding 1000 miles. The best thing here of course is the crew. Frank the boss and Steve the finance guy. They destroyed my credit unions financing rate. How the heck do they do that? Car Jedi from a galaxy far far away! Unbelievably low rates. Drive here fast but watch out for highway patrol cars on the way. Woot! read more

Update: extremely disappointed. No phone call. No voicemail. Charlie promised it'll be done today by 5 pm. It's a work van that I have to use to get paid. I would rather call in sick than use a company's loaner van, so you could imagine how important this is to me when they've had it for almost a week. If I at least gotten a phone call saying they need more time, they would've retained 4 stars. I have my work van checked in here for some coolant leak. Previous shop said that the water pump had to be replaced. Charlie was the main service tech and he showed me exactly where it was leaking. It definitely was not the water pump. Had to have my vehicle sit here for about half a week due to some special order parts, and I found it odd that a Chevy dealer didn't have parts for a 2011 vehicle. Checked in today and said that it should be ready by end of day just as described. I'll be a happy camper if they keep their promise and the wait dropped it down to 4 stars. Had to get a couple recalls done, so I figured to have them change the oil and fuel filter. Upon pickup they said that they had done full service and inspection. The grease zerks were dry and they charged me 185$ to change the fuel filter. C-mon guys its a spin on (10min job) I paid my bill and told them that the truck had not been greased and that charge for the fuel filter was out of line. read more
