Last night, I accidentally dropped my AirPod (the left one) on the fields and could ot find it. Today morning (July 8, 2026), I drove there and asked the ground staff, if they found it or if, someone turned it in. A ground maintenence staff, Ms. Josephine, came to me and showed me, where I should look. Then, she drove a cart herself to go look for it!! AND, she found my AirPod...! Thank you, Ms. Josephine! I feel it's like an oasis of parks, lakes, paths and golf courses across miles through the heart of the city, and it's so peaceful and chill to walk through the greenbelt area.

With that in mind, I braved the heat and stopped by Eldorado Park for a hour-long walk (hydration pack and sunscreen in tow). Located in Scottsdale, there's plenty of parking. The first thing that stands out is the size of the park. There's plenty of greenery, there are benches, there are picnic tables, there's a lake, there are playgrounds, there's disc golf, and more. Eldorado actually bleeds into another park so it takes quite a while if you're trying to explore it in its entirety. I wouldn't say Eldorado Park is the most picturesque park I've been to. Nor is it in the nicest part of town. But it did the job. There are so many hiking and walking opportunities in Phoenix. It was nice to try out a new spot.

Adj: Fancy and Fun at Fountain Park…read more So while on a trip to AZ, we came to this park kind of on a whim because we were staying in Fountain Hills. It was close to the hotel we stayed at and I read some great things about this park and my kids loved playgrounds, so off we go. It's been redone so it did not always look so fancy schmancy, but let me tell you this town and neighborhood is quite well to do so I think the funding is not lacking. The park is right next to the man-made lake which is made famous because of the fountain that goes off multiple times every day! But back to the park, the playground really is fun. There's things to climb, slide down, run onto, jump up and down on, and even a zip-line like thing that was kind of scary for me (yes, I'm a scaredy cat). My kids had a great time on that thing and my son in particular went crazy on it going back and forth multiple times. Overall, this is a great park, the playground alone is worth a visit, but then there's covered seating area not far from the playground, and right next to that there's a musical section where you can hit on different metallic objects to make music! My kids really had fun w/those things. There are benches for parents to chill after exertions on the play structure. The view of the lake is nice from anywhere at the park too. Lovely and enjoyable. We would love to visit again.

There's plenty of playground equipment for kids. 4 slides, a few swing are among other activities. There's a good size field too for children's birthday parties. It almost seems like they didn't know what to do with the land so they made it into a grassy area and put a play structure there. Now I am sure a lot of people walk through here, especially with dogs. But there is no properly gated area for dogs. It's close to a busy street, so would you even feel comfortable taking your kids here and possibly running by cars? I am not trying to make this out to be a terrible area and I am sure it serves its purpose. This is very much a local's kind of park and it gets its occasional use. But definitely not something to drive out of your way for!

It's a very nice neighborhood park. We enjoyed our dinner and then lounged on our blanket, taking in the nice views and beautiful weather!
