I worked at Meadowbrook Stables as a working student from October 08 - July 09. I am hard to please…read morebut this place was and IS absolutely fantastic! The yard is extremely well layed out and maintained to excellent standards. Its a such a nice place to be with a brill atmosphere! All the horses are treated as individuals with the respect and love they deserve, which in turn they give back. The horses are fantastically schooled and extremely well mannered. They themselves can teach you to ride once you have learnt to understand what they're telling you! The people that teach also work with the horses on the yard and ride them themselves, and so have an excellent understanding of how each horse works and how to get the best out of them. You can have lessons in anything from stable management, to ridden lateral work, to in hand and lunging. All lessons are conducted in a professional yet friendly manner at the clients pace with everything being explained step by step. I myself have seen huge improvement in all clients whether they come weekly or just for a one off lesson :) Lessons at Meadowbrook's is DEFINITE VALUE FOR MONEY!! I totally recommend it and shall be continuing having lessons there despite living a hundred miles away - literally! this is such a fantastic place if u want to learn if u ever need to know something there will always be someone on hand with a smile and an answer. If You want to know more about anything Sam Jamieson (owner) would be more than happy to help. Give her a call or text on 07866426969 or email from the website http://www.meadowbrookstables.co.uk Honestly, Try It xx definitely worth it ! :) :) :) Steph :)

A great place for baby courses we've done both baby massage and baby swimming (0-3 months), and…read moreboth were excellent. The swimming classes take place in the heated pool, under very knowledgeable instruction, and last 20 mins each sounds short, but it is plenty for the tiny bubs. Baby massage classes are an hour, and there's always time, space and opportunity to socialise with other mums after class. Biscuits and hot and cold drinks are offered. Great atmosphere! Apparently, a cafe will open there soon, so this will be a great place for mums and their little ones (dads are of course welcome!). The only negative point: the changing rooms at the pool were supposed to be heated but always felt too cool for the little ones not good after swimming. Only four stars then, but a great place to which we will return!

Not too expensive either compared to our fitness centre, but then again the fitness centre offers facilities for kids ie swimming, creche etc. But good for the single guy or girl that wants to get into shape.

It's a Sunday and the weather is very sunny and hot. The beaches are an hour away and even when you…read moreget there, they will be packed and no fun. We have an 18 month old son and we don't want to sit at home. Let's go somewhere with animals, he'll like that. So we look through some brochures we have and we see that about half an hour away from us there is a Farm Park. Now, I've been to a few of these places and although they are on the whole, good places, they can be expensive and messy. We went and when we arrived we were met with a very warm welcome. The staff were all very friendly, chatty and made a big deal out of our son. It was £5.50 each adult with children under 3 getting in for free. Also when you entered, you could buy a bag of feed pellets for 50p, great value and a good idea. We soon got to wandering and our wee boy loved his adventure. There were coy carp and goldfish, pigs with suckling piglets, toy tractors for him to play on, a giant sand pit, peacocks strutting around (yes we did see one display his tail), goats, rabbits lambs you could get into the pen with and pet! There was a play area with a wooden tractor and death slide and a trampoline sunk into the ground -very novel. As we continued round we encountered, alpacas, turkeys, doves, donkeys, more lambs, horses and chipmunks -yes Chipmunks, very cute and very funny. There is a large play barn with some huge slides and a soft play pen. There is a small tea room and crafts on sale. The quality of the crafts was top class and the prices were very affordable for a low income. We bought a hand made wooden mobile for above our son's cot which will also serve for our next child which is on the way. We had a lovely day out. It was busy but not crowded and although it was quite small, it offered a good variety of animals and interactivity. The whole place was spotlessly clean and extremely friendly. The animals themselves were only too keen to be touched and were obviously very well cared for. I would recommend this place to anybody living in Cambridgeshire or Norfolk who are looking for a good activity for them and their family with value for money and a relaxed atmosphere. You could easily spend a morning or afternoon there. As I said, we went on Sunday and they were still open until 5.00pm when usually everywhere else shuts at 4.00. Very happy, will go again, regularly.

I'm not a golfer - no co-ordination! - so I'm just reviewing their cafe!! The home-made cakes and…read morecookies are amazing! It's a little off the beaten track, so slightly 'undiscovered' by the masses, and a good place to hide out and have a nice quiet coffee or lunch (and you probably won't see anyone you know, so if you're not spotted the calories won't count!!)

In the middle of the Norfolk countryside somebody has had the foresight to create a nature reserve with a lovely selection of the world's deer and birds. And you visit all of this in a group of buggies with a guide who educates you via a radio. A great experience!
