History

Established in 2013.

Established in 2013 by Sharon Poole BHSAI. Stickney Riding Centre is fully licensed and insured with British Horse Society qualified instructors. We aim to offer a safe and friendly environment for clients to learn to ride and look after horses/ponies from the age of 4 years old upwards. We provide lessons for the complete beginner or the more advanced rider in our floodlit all-weather 20x60 arena. Clients can choose between having private tuition or joining a group of similar ability riders, groups are a maximum of 3 riders in order to maintain a good level of instruction to each client. There is a weight limit of 15 stone for all riders. As Sharon is a member of the British Horse Society's register of instructors we are also able to offer lessons to clients with their own horses, either at Stickney Riding Centre or at the clients premises.

Meet the Business Owner: Sharon P.

I am a freelance registered BHSAI. I have taught in various riding schools and for local pony clubs and have nearly 20 years coaching experience. I have been riding since I was 6 years old and have competed in both dressage and show jumping classes. One of my jobs was working for German dressage trainer Angela Niemeyer Eastwood. During this time I helped with the breaking and training of the horses on the yard as well as getting to compete. Setting up Stickney Riding Centre fulfils one of my life-long ambitions of opening and running my own business.
