They brought out the shoe requested in two sizes. They didn't come back and check on us or see if we needed different shoes. Then my five year old said she had to go pee. The point of brick and mortar is customer service, which is severely lacking here. We'll go to Amazon in the future for soccer cleats.

They have a huge Olympic size outdoor pool with lounge chairs and a bar as well. I think it's seasonal though. It's not open all year around. The only thing missing was a fly machine. Plenty of cardio machines. Full sized basket court that also serves as a pickleball court. Locker rooms as well with showers. Awesome club and great perk if you're staying at the hotel.

I got the shoes, opened the REAX and they are worn, dirty and stained. There is white paint or something similar on the bottoms, on the side and top, there is what looks like splattered Cola or coffee. The laces are dirty and the inside of the shoe has fuzz and dirt. I IMMEDIATELY called the Manchester store and "Wayne" answered in the shoe department. He was 10,000% extremely unhelpful, rude and very off putting with his attitude. He blamed it on the delivery service I used, my response was they dont work for Academy, they are a delivery company. He then says well what do you want me to do about it? So I hung up and called to talk to a manager. The manager "James" was worse than the first guy, so apparently I was going to get no where with him either. So here I am, stuck with worn, dirty Nikes that I paid 100$ for! NEVER WILL I RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY NOR WILL I EVER SPEND ONE MORE CENT WITH THEM.....

This is an awful soccer club in St. Louis for kids in my opinion. I cannot recommend it. They make…read moreyouth soccer into a figurative Olympics. They cut little kids from teams after making judgments about their ability to play at young ages (less than age 10) -- and at very short practices where they didn't even have the time to properly evaluate them. If your kid makes it, he better be impressing the coach. Otherwise, they will let kids on a team (little kids less than 10), take the money and then not let them play but a few minutes in a game. How can a child get better if they are riding the bench? Believe me, I am not a person who believes in giving participation trophies to kids. But the way this soccer club treats children is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. You'd be better to find another team. Kids shouldn't be judged like it's a NFL combine when the child is less than 10 years old. They should also be more upfront with parents about how it works versus encouraging kids to come, taking their money and not letting them play. Nor, should they lead parents on that the child can make the A or B team and then cut them. They need to be upfront that they are trying to run a varsity sports program with little kids. Then, the parents could make a choice about whether they want their kids involved in something this cutthroat and competitive with a young child.

I then followed up with an email with the date in the subject line, confirming the location, and got confirmation fro the establishment. When I showed up with my group, the place was closed. Their voicemail stated they were open at this particular time, and I also tried contacting them via IM and email. The next morning - after we took our party elsewhere and spent additional money - I got an "I'm sorry" response offering to fit us in that day. There was no effort to make it right. The only upside is Groupon refunded my money.

Sports Monster offers several sports. I played in their co-ed recreational (not competitive)…read morekickball league. It was disappointing. Their price for a kickball league is the best in St. Louis so I'll give them that. Sign up through meetup.com (the group is called St. Louis Kickball, I think?) for a significant discount. The league is poorly organized though. They aren't flexible with individuals that aren't able to join the league with a team. The league was played in Deer Creek Park - gravel-like dirt infields, not kind to your skin if you slip or fall. Sports Monster technically has a sponsor bar, but they don't always offer food or drink specials. What's the point of a sponsor bar if it doesn't have specials? The umpires were awful. In one game, the "home plate" umpire sat 50 feet away from home plate and played with their phone without even watching the game at times. If you're getting paid to ump a game, at least be respectful to the teams that paid to play and give it your best effort.

I played their Sunday basketball leagues for 3 sessions starting Fall/Winter of 2019 through Spring…read moreof 2021. You'd be better off going and playing at a park for free. We only played in it as long as we did because of the location of Maryland Heights being convenient for our team, as well as Sunday's being the only day we could play. The refs are horrible, it would be better to just call your own fouls. They are disinterested, they showed up late all the time, including to our playoff game this past week. The people who ran the clock/scoreboard were always very friendly, I appreciate them being good people and helpful with their job. But the thing that truly threw us over the edge about our opinions about this league was this past session (started April 11, 2021). We had so many problems with their administration the past couple months. I don't think they could've botched their COVID responses more if they tried. They didn't announce that we had to wear masks while playing until after the refund deadline for dropping out was over, if I remember right they sent out the email requiring masks at all time the day after refunds ended. When I reached out asking about this new policy (which was different than they had summer of 2020 when the pandemic was much worse, we didn't have to wear masks then), I got a very snippy response from the guy in charge of the company about how it's my fault that we elected a "fascist dictator" and if I don't like it, deal with it. My teammate also sent an email about it and got just as rude of a response. We had to continue to wear masks while playing for a month past when the CDC announced vaccinated folks could take off their mask. They never sent out any sort of reminder to sign up for the next session to returning teams. I've never played in a league of any kind that didn't give teams a heads up to sign up for the next session. The league filled up before I had a chance to sign up. When I reached out about this, wondering why we never got a reminder, I never got a response back from the manager. They just completely ignored a simple question from a 3-time returning team that was one of the 3 or 4 teams that stuck through with the league during the pandemic. To summarize: Refs 1/10, scorekeepers: 10/10, administration: 0/10
