Came for dinner and made reservations ahead of time. This is a CLASSIC looking British pub and in excellent, clean condition. Downstairs is a working pub and pretty crowded by the local after-work crowd. Upstairs is the restaurant. We had a seat for two in a beautiful wood paneled space. The food was absolutely brilliant. We started off with a Gin & Tonic that was perfect. We had the beet hummas, baked chickpeas and toasted pita from the bar snacks as an appetizer. I highly recommend this! For the entree, I went with the classic fish & chips. The cod was more breaded than I prefer, but perhaps that's the way it is supposed to be. The cod was good and piping hot. The tartar sauce was pretty straightforward and tasty. With it was supposed to be peas, but I missed those. The app was enough for four, so I wasn't missing the missed side too much. More curious what it tasted like. The waitress was solid and very busy managing the room with one other waiter. We very much enjoyed the meal and would recommend it. read more
