The staff member assisting us was very friendly. they don't allow any outside food but water bottles with lids are fine. Strollers and wagons are also allowed. The museum offers tons of different rooms/spaces without feeling too big or overwhelming. There's a map on each floor to help guide you through the spaces. Each space is super interactive and educational. We absolutely loved the train room and the bubble room. Even Grandma had a blast on this visit. Other notes: - There is plenty of seating throughout the museum. - The bathrooms were clean and clearly marked. - There were helpful staff members scattered around the museum areas. - The planetarium show starts on the hour, every hour. I went last Wednesday with family, and exploring the ship completely decked out in lights was honestly unforgettable. I knew ahead of time that they offered mocktails and cocktails, but I was not prepared for the surprises waiting onboard--like fresh donuts and spiked hot chocolate! Speaking of which... the spiked peppermint hot chocolate with a shot of white chocolate peppermint bark RumChata has officially changed my life. I don't think I can go back to regular hot chocolate for the rest of the season. It's the perfect holiday drink, and clearly a huge hit with the 21+ crowd. The museum is full of historic information and articles to view. One of the coolest part of the experience is being able to board the USS Wisconsin, even for someone like me, a wheelchair user. I was able to tour the deck and check out many areas of the ship. The docents and museum personnel were friendly and knowledgeable when anyone had a question or wanted to know more of the history of "Old Whisky" I am a naval history buff and the chance to be able to get on a ship that helped the US in WWII, it was a treat. Whether you are visiting Norfolk for a long or short visit, put this historic Navy battleship!

The free museum inside the building has Norfolk history, battleship history, port of VA info, and naval history. There are many interactive exhibits. If you do the ship, you will need more than 2 hours but the hourly rate at the garage is reasonable

i went to nauticus and did the self guided tour of the uss wisconsin battleship museum. we got to…read morego inside the battleship and walk through a bunch of different areas, which was probably the best part because it made everything feel more real instead of just looking at pictures or exhibits. the ship itself is huge, and seeing everything up close was really interesting. i liked being able to walk around at my own pace instead of being rushed through it. the deck views were really nice too, and the giant guns were honestly crazy to see in person because they're so much bigger than i thought they'd be. overall it was actually really fun and i'd definitely recommend it if you're in norfolk because it's something different and really interesting to experience. note -- it isn't handicap accessible, there are a lot of stairs you need to go up and down on.

I have a subscription with RS Andrews to do maintenance on my unit quarterly I believe. Back in…read moreMay when I was getting notices for my scheduled up, I had to contact and inform them due to circumstances I would have to schedule them the 1st of July. I received a notice first that they were coming then shortly after received a notice they were not. I quickly contacted them as their window is from 10 - 2pm. So, you need to be home, you cannot go to work either. No one cared when I called to inform them, but I rescheduled again. The date now scheduled was for 10 July (today). Like last time I received a message this morning and it said someone would be arriving between 10 and 2pm. Then about an hour later another message saying I had to be rescheduled again. Mind you, we pay 30 dollars a month for this non-service. They tell me that due to the volume of repairs they are being called for that regular customers like me who pay monthly have to reschedule. I think the reason is there's not a lot of money to be made in 30 dollars a month subscription when they can make more money servicing new customers and broken systems. Again, I am forced to sit home, not being able to go to work, take care of any other issues as I am at their beck and call. They want to reschedule again not caring that I would need to take another day to wait for the maintenance tech. I asked how I get my money back for failing to meet the requirements under the contract, they gave me a woman's name who would call me back and she has not. I called again and they gave me a Robert Skinner to speak to, and I left a voice mail, and he has failed to call. They tout themselves of providing excellent service and yet fail to meet their obligations to existing customers. I have been bounced around with no effort by anyone thus far to reach out to me. I have called Mr. Skinners line multiple times at 7579984206 he has not shown the professionalism and courtesy to provide a long-term customer with a maintenance contract to call back. I have been told he is sitting at his desk speaking to another customer over an hour ago. WTF. I guess they don't want to pay the 30 dollars that is taken out of my account. Maybe it's time to consider another servicing office. However, I also need to address this with RS Andrews as they should be held accountable. I will be posting on the Better Business Bureaus (BBB) as well to do that as they will reach out to the company and ask them to explain. Well, no one ever called today and since I have no way of contacting someone who can assist, I guess I will start leaving notices online. Let me amend that statement, the support staff who answer phones, direct your calls and submit messages to those who are supposed to call you back, they just refuse?? This will go to the Better Business Bureau (BBB), Consumer Advocates.
