The house looks like Gatsby retired here to start gardening and finally find inner peace. Every room feels fancy enough that you instinctively whisper, even when you're alone judging antique furniture like you suddenly have generational wealth. The gardens? Absolutely disrespectful to regular parks. Trees posing like they know they're beautiful, peacocks walking around with the confidence of influencers, and views of the water that make you question every life decision that didn't involve buying a mansion in 1915. Perfect place for a peaceful stroll, deep thoughts, or pretending you're in a period drama waiting for someone to confess forbidden love near the azaleas.

They made great use of the Hermitage's artwork, incorporating the pieces into the story. While listening to the narration, sound effects, captivating storytelling, and lighting guided you through the house and invited you to immerse yourself in the experience. The performance is an hour long and sends you off in groups of 12 at a time; at $68 per ticket I felt the price was on the steep side. The pace was good. There are age restrictions 14years+ with adult supervision, and the show fluctuates between sitting on the floor, standing, bending through pathways, and navigating stairs and tight spaces -- something to consider for accessibility and comfort.

I went last Wednesday with family, and exploring the ship completely decked out in lights was honestly unforgettable. I knew ahead of time that they offered mocktails and cocktails, but I was not prepared for the surprises waiting onboard--like fresh donuts and spiked hot chocolate! Speaking of which... the spiked peppermint hot chocolate with a shot of white chocolate peppermint bark RumChata has officially changed my life. I don't think I can go back to regular hot chocolate for the rest of the season. It's the perfect holiday drink, and clearly a huge hit with the 21+ crowd. Beyond the festive drinks, Winterfest had so much more to offer, including a charming winter mini circus with magic and other fun acts. It was genuinely enjoyable for both kids and adults. I loved the added light displays leading up to the ship and throughout Town Point Park--they make the whole area feel like a glowing winter wonderland. Even if you can't make it onboard for the full Winterfest experience, the nighttime walk from the Pagoda in lights to Town Point Park is absolutely worth it. Such a wonderful holiday outing for families, friends, and anyone looking to soak up the season!

This was actually my first time aboard this ship despite living here for over 15 years... We had a timed ticket and had to be there within 15 minutes of our ticket start time and had e-tickets which we had no problem pulling up and scanning. Event parking was $5 in the local garage across the street and was a great deal! There were plenty of staff inside the museum to direct us to the battleship and a limited but adequate amount on the ship. The gift shop was open and we easily made our way to the boat for the tour. Arrows along the deck directed traffic and it was a winter wonderland everywhere you looked. Tons of lights everywhere and the Norfolk skyline and waterfronts made it even more beautiful. Crowds weren't too bad due to the timing of the tickets and we had no issues with photos, crowding or lack of staff. The tiny Griswold cafe had perfect snacks for reasonable prices such as nachos, pretzels, bbq, hot dogs, chips, cookies and hot chocolate and hot apple cider with plenty of seating inside. The elf adventure beneath the deck was sooo cute. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed seeing the inside rooms decorated with small elves and animatronic figures. Lights strung up along the P-ways were adorable! The entire upper deck was covered with lights and it's so gorgeous at night. There were literally dozens of great places for a photo and staff were friendly and happy to assist. This was a great experience and one I think people of all ages can enjoy. Happy to have done this!

They also fleece their customers. I made the mistake of accepting a service contract with them, where for $360 per year (monthly payment of $30) they are supposed to send a tech and clean the HVAC systems twice per year (with the season changes, from hot to cold and back). They do send techs but not when the weather changes, rather when the company wants to make more money. The tech who came in Oct. did not clean anything. They are sent out to find problems in your system and then offer overpriced solutions. It really amounts to paying a monthly fee for the privilege of being upsold and fleeced. I literally looked up the equipment (UV lights) that the tech suggested as part of a mold clean up and prevention and asked why is the quote over $2,000 when the equipment can be purchased for $200. The tech said the difference is labor costs and materials... I declined that fleecing and resolved the whole issue by hiring another qualified tech who completed everything at less than a quarter of the cost quoted by RS Andrews. Then I called RS Andrews to cancel the service agreement. They had the nerve to tell me I owe them the rest of the service contract cost since I had both of my cleanings for the year. I was told they would call me back to resolve this, but of course no one called back, which is their usual MO. On the second call the lady who answered gave me the same scripted corporate line. She then listened to my grievance, said "okay, I will cancel it," and then promptly hung up on me while I was asking her what else do I have to do to make sure there are no further charges. I refuse to be taken advantage of by a corporation that sells overpriced equipment and services. I will stop the charges with my bank and make sure to work with any other technician and company.

The 1st one he said had some rust, it did around the outer edge but that's regular and some fur on the coils which was some insulation that blew through. He shut off my gas to the unit and me thinking it ok. He said he didn't know if it was leaking but it had some rust inside. My upstairs unit was okay. He said I could talk to a sales representative with no commitment but I told him I would call my home warranty company. I talked to David and afterwards to change my 2 ac with heat pumps and my furnace in loft would be over $23,000 . Not, my units are 7 and 4 years old. I called my home warranty and in 3 days I had heat. I paid R S Andrews $138.00 and for nothing. The 1 star is for showing up on time. I'm not saying everyone that works for them are cons but I won't be using them no more.
