Okay, this pub is never going to set the world on fire, but, for a local type pub for the football it serves it purpose well.
There is a definite "frequented by locals" feel about the place, and you can tell that the corner of the bar is where they all hang out. That is not to say that they are not a friendly bunch, as they are more than happy to make chit chat whilst you are waiting to get served.
They serve food too and although I personally didn't have any, the guy adjacent to me had a Sunday lunch and it was gargantuan and smelt like proper home cooked food.
Drinks I thought were reasonably priced - £3.50 for a double and mixer.
The barmaid was a jolly and friendly character.
I felt quite comfortable sat at a table on my own watching the football with my drink.
If I am back in the area I would go back here to watch the football, but I do think that would be it, I don't think that I would venture here of an evening.
