Nice par 30, 9 hole course. Great place for beginners and iron play at 130 yards. Three holes are par 4. Also the pizza is superb!

We quickly decided that this is a place we will be coming back to! It's literally an indoor golf campus with five or six simulation Stations where you get to choose between what seemed like hundreds of different courses and play them with as many or as few people as you'd like, for a predetermined amount of time. They've also got a putting green, and you can bring your own clubs or rent some there. We grabbed one of the stalls for two hours, and five of us had a great time! The set up is pretty quick and you can make it so you can save your information and follow yourself overtime. It's pretty cool to be able to develop a handicap on the simulator! I've got a full bar and basically Gastropub type food. The bacon cheeseburger that I had was quite good, as were the shared nachos, wings and cheese curds. Prices are not outrageous and the beer and liquor selection was actually pretty solid. The place is super relaxed and the service was quick and friendly. This is a spot that I will be back to with friends, and probably a spot I will take my boys to practice. The place chill enough that it's the sort of place you can take kids, your significant other, or meet up with a bunch of buddies. It was nice to not be rowdy, but also to not have to be quiet like on an actual golf course.

Regardless of your caliber of play, there's usually something that can be gleaned from here. They are generally open from late April or early May, through October or November. They do a really nice job here of utilizing what they have and maximizing the opportunities. They've got men's leagues, women's legs, kids golf, night time golfing and plenty of lessons. They've also got Club rentals and a small pro shop. For anybody who plays golf on any regular basis, the longest club you will use is probably a six iron and that's maybe once. Most of this played with an eight iron or shorter and is a really good opportunity to hone in your short game. You definitely can't beat the price here either. Currently, nine holes is seven dollars and while the place can get pretty backed up, it's a really good place to go practice, learn or just get out and have a shorter than average walk on a golf course. The greens and fairways are all kept up remarkably well here and while their claim that they have the best greens in Yacama may not be completely true, they are definitely not the worst. It's a spot where they really take pride in how the place looks and it shows! This place is definitely worth checking out, and if you're a seasoned golfer, you should definitely consider going on a day when it's slower so as to keep the waiting to a minimum.

When I went into the the golf shop a young man (early 20s) came in after a few seconds and asked if he could help. I explained that I was just stopping by to check out the course. And asked the rates. I was informed the regular weekend rates ($35 walk) and that there was also a twilight of sorts at 3 pm (everyday). I then asked about the 4 rounds for $70 (nice offer) and was told it expired last week. I had printed off a coupon/offer in anticipation of stopping into the course to possible play and/or check it out Saturday - there was no expiration on the coupon. Black Rock did not look like it was that great in terms of condition so I left. After all why would I travel all that way again if not for a better golf course, more friendly staff, or some other compelling reason? And w/o the offer there would be no reason to go back. There were very few players on the course. I would have played with the offer or as an alternative an offer of early twilight if I waited a bit. Sadly this experience is not unique amongst golf courses these days. A young kid running things in prime time (noon on a weekend) and having no clue about how to get a person to play today, enjoy themselves, and come back in the future. PS - I did get a follow up from the pro (Scott, I emailed him my thoughts). He offered a free round in the future which is nice. I may take him up on that at a future date, but I just wish GCs would appreciate golfers a bit more.
