In September 2024, I had my six-year anniversary of living at Cherry Creek Apartments. I just love it here. I feel safe and everyone in the management office is really nice, especially Kelly Moreland. These apartments are pet friendly, very well maintained and provide a peaceful, scenic place to live. Cherry Creek is close to I-40, yet I never have to deal with noise near this complex. It's also conveniently located near downtown Nashville, Mt. Juliet and Lebanon. Additionally, in my lifetime, I've lived in many apartment complexes in multiple states. In those complexes, the response time for maintenance requests was anywhere from several days to several weeks. Not so at Cherry Creek. During the six years I've lived here, almost every service request I've submitted has been addressed on THE SAME DAY or on the next day at the latest. If you go online and read a lot of reviews of apartment complexes, you'll see that one of the complaints cited most often concerns the slow response time and low-quality resolution of maintenance issues. So, with that in mind, I wanted to highlight the excellent maintenance team Cherry Creek has in place and give them the recognition they deserve. So much to say here: Watch your monthly bill grow every month. It looks like a sweet deal until you starts rolling up on you with what they call - 'Balance Forward'. The first time you see this you had better high tail it down to the office and get someone to explain. I wish I could add pictures as proof. The pictures on the website look great. Let's start with the pools... The day the pools opened one was closed the next day because some one pooped in it. Today two are closed because there is apparently broken glass in the water and no on here will go get it out. What you can't see is that the buildings are covered in tarps. Broken down cars that don't move. One car has no license plate at all. The dog parks are mostly dusty dirt. People pile trash on the patios. People leave their dogs out on the deck alone. This community is not a place you want to live. Meanwhile, the management thinks the answer is to raise rent hundreds per month! If I could post pictures of the condition of the unit when I moved in: broken tile, dog chewed trim, spiders in the windows, broken blinds... If you need a maintenance man you can find one on a gold cart hiding around the property. Sometimes you see them speeding thru the grassy areas like they are racing 4-wheelers. Absolutely no pride in this property. I would be half my building has left since I moved her 4 months ago. More highlights... No speed bumps for the first quarter mile into the apartments where kids get on and off the bus. It's not safe to walk that part of the property any part of the day because you may get run over. You pay monthly pest control fee, but they won't actually come spray around the outside (or inside)of your apartment unless you request it. My suggestion is you request your patio and windows be sprayed every month because they are taking your money for it! Your water bill is calculated by some formula where they divide the buildings water bill by your square footage (doesn't make sense does it). You have to pay for trash fairy service they you can't opt out of even if you live across from a dumpster. Bottomline, you can get a much better deal for what they are charing if you go one more exit down I-40 to Mt. Juliet or any surrounding area. read more

A water leak began in my kitchen ceiling on January 21st, 2023. The plumbers who came the next morning told me there was black mold around the leak. I became ill and missed time at work. And, i wasn't able to work at home. This is the second leak i've had here. As of this writing, March 2nd, 2023, the apartment is still not repaired. The lack of communication and help from Cherry Creek Apts is poor. If i were a betting man, I'd bet there are people dealing drugs out of this place. Jeremy Kirkland, Jason and Tina Wilson are incompetent and unhelpful. I've lived in six apartment complexes since 2009. Cherry Creek is by far the worst of them. If you're thinking of renting here, you can do better. read more

I have lived in Chicago for 8 years and wanted to move after going through a tough breakup. While apartment hunting around Nashville, I was feeling really overwhelmed and discouraged until I met Tina at Cherry Creek :) At the other community I visited, the properties were smaller, and the customer service was ok, but impersonal. Additionally, a resident I struck up a conversation with told me there had been a break-in in his unit that year. What are the odds?! But Tina and Cherry Creek were so different. She really made me feel welcome and gave me a ton of options to look at. Tina's customer service is such that you feel like she genuinely cares about you and your happiness. She's also pretty funny and has some great stories. It's awesome. Additionally, the units were large and well taken care of. Tina also had a lot of insight about the perks of each floor plan. By the end of the tour I felt really comfortable and happy...and set on living there! I signed a lease and am thrilled to start the next chapter of my life at Cherry Creek read more

Just moved out. Lived here over two years. Heard lots of negative things about not getting deposit back.... Well I have to say this was one of the smoothest transactions. I was pleasantly surprised. They were super nice and yes, I got my full deposit back. I really enjoyed living here and never had any problems. Love the new amazing fitness center. Lived here for 2 years and really enjoyed having the amenities that Cherry Creek offers such as the pools (it was really nice having 2!) and fitness center. Having lived in other apartments I appreciated how well-equipped the gym was. The complex was really safe even though the gates were typically non-functioning (gates are more of a superficial thing anyway). The grounds were well-kept. I always made sure to get a receipt when turning in my rent check so I never had any problems there. There was an issue with move-in day at one point (they weren't going to allow my roommate to move in until I arrived even though they told her we could move in that day AND we were literally just moving down the street in the complex) but this was resolved with some force on our part. The main reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the rent increased so much each time the lease was up. I understand that rent increases but we compared our price to our friends' price (in the same complex) and we were paying a lot more even though their layout was better than ours. God forbid you would ever have to go month-to-month - at that price, you could live in a trendy downtown Nashville apartment. All in all, for the price it's a great place to live. It's close to trails, the lake, and only a 15-20 min drive to downtown (without traffic). Oh yeah - and we had no difficulty getting our security deposit back. They were pretty fair in what they deducted from pet damage. read more

I have lived in Cherry Creek for a year and a half, and have had a wonderful experience. I recently took a job back home in Texas and am sad to leave. The staff has always been friendly and helpful if an issue arises. I've only had to call maintenance once, and they fixed the issue promptly and worked around my schedule so my dog wouldn't have to be locked up. There are multiple pools that are very well-kept and the place to be in the summer. I will definitely miss the pool the most. They have an amazing gym as well, but have to admit, that's not where I spent my time. They are definitely the best apartment complex in the area for the money. Highly recommend! read more

Kelly helped me every step of the way with my many questions. My only regret is not moving here last year. The property is well kept. The neighbors are friendly and nice. The apartment has a great lay out. (I just wish for a little more closet space but what girl doesn't). The air unit out my window is noisy and so is a neighbors dog but it's worth it!! I do think the office is great, and the maintenance is very dependable and very friendly folks. However, I am so tired of seeing the Gate broken. From the day I moved in it was broken for weeks, and I have read reviews from past years that say the same thing, gates always broken. It finally got repaired and now The Exit gate has been broken for weeks and not repaired and now the entrance gate is just leaning up completely off where it appears someone hit it. ? There are always people coming and going that drive around so the gate comes In handy visually to hopefully encourage strangers not to come in if they don't live here or know someone that does. But with exit gate broken and entrance just leaning up against completely off, I think it says "Come on in". We already have issues with people dumping furniture and garbage in dumpster area that do not live here. I see them come in at night in trucks then leave. The gates important. read more

Not sure who these other disgruntled helpers are but this is a great place to live. Well kept, friendly staff (although I haven't had to deal with the office), great grounds with great places to walk your dog, friendly neighbors, but I'm detracting a full star because they filled in the hot tub with cement. Who the hell does that? It should be the 11th commandment - thou shalt not fill in a hot tub so that it can no longer be used. Oh, and its a gated community that always has a gate open. We moved from downtown Nashville where our rent was double - the level of service at Cherry Creek is triple from that place...won't mention any names, but we had a VIEW of the CITY... I lived here 8 yrs and referred several folks. The staff was awesome but if you ever needed to deal with management it was a losing proposition. They have a reputation of charging cleaning fees and keeping deposits. My mother helped clean my place before moving out 15 days early. I came back twice to verify that there was no issues. The staff said both times they would let me know. No one called and 2-3 months later a collection agency is hounding me for $100!! ? No explanation . After a year they are still calling and threatening to turn me in to credit. I'm not paying & I won't refer anyone else. If you move in just don't move out. Good Luck! read more

Very disappointed. It has been something at every turn with this complex. Now don't get me wrong this property is beautiful. But there management team is horrible. I've been given wrong information at every turn and now after I have given them $400 of my hard earned money they are unable to give any of it back. I am unable to move in due to a family emergency and having to move back home. Mind you no where does it state that the fees are non refundable or that you have a certain time frame to get your money back. I've lived here for about 4 years and love it for the most part. My only real complaint is the switching of the water company a few times. One Point is the most expensive and annoying to deal with. Besides that, I enjoy the complex and the staff. - 4 stars read more

I have lived all over the world, in all types of housing... this is the worst by far. There are electrical issues, my bathroom light will not stay on, when I turn the ceiling fan on in my bedroom you hear this pop in the walls and then the electronics on the other side of the room dim or turn off. All the closet doors have fallen off and actually fallen apart. I have been threatened with eviction and legal action after they have lost 4 money orders, to which we saved the receipts, so they were in the the wrong. They did not apologize even after she heard how upset I had gotten at my husband thinking that he had neglected the bill. The air conditioning has broken 3 times. They recently resealed the parking and driving areas, but the company they hired left early one Friday and for almost a week straight we were not able to drive on the road in front of our house and had to park extremely far away (which is a big deal when you have groceries or a tired 2 year old). The molding around the tub has come off, so there is literally a hole in our bathroom and broken tile. I mentioned earlier the electrical problems- THE SOCKETS LITERALLY KEEP COMING OUT OF THE WALL, and the wall outlets blow constantly... ruining my electronics. I have a $300 Kitchen Aid Mixer I am scared to use because, I don't want to fry it. DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX. My water turned off today- for no reason... and it has been hours since I first mentioned to maintenance. The sewer service is garbage... and they force you to enroll in valet trash, which does not come half the time. This place is a joke when they use the word "luxury". read more

I never normally review a place, but I was so glad to leave. When I first came, I wanted to see an apartment, well I got a virtual tour instead. Of course it looked great in pictures, but when I moved in the place was a disaster. They left lights on, dirty carpet and all. They also told me everything but electric and gas was included in the price. Well it wasn't. Then when I had a friend stay with their pet for a couple days, they told me I needed manager approval. No one told me anything about that and they charged me with some extra fees. I lived in a 600 sqft apartment and paid 925 a month. This place is filled with crooks. Not to mention I had a leak when I first moved in, they just barged in with their own key when I was taking a shower without any notice. I told my friends to stay away from here because they just care about the dollar not the people. read more

We were looking for a apartment complex near my work and stumbled across Cherry Creek by accident. So glad we did. The staff is very friendly. We talked with Jamie Burke who helped us throughout the whole process. She even answered questions after hours which was very helpful. The complex it's self is super nice and feels homey. All the residents seem very friendly and best of all there are lots of other dog lovers in the compex. I took one star off because I wish there were more poop stations for the fur babies out there. It appears that Cherry Creek has managed to remove my original post...BOTTOM LINE IS DO NOT MOVE HERE. Lived here for a year and got out as soon as i could... You will absolutely hate this complex. Burgleries on the regular and convicts living next to you. Not to mention the $1200 they will take you to court over for "carpet stains" of which we left NONE. My biggest mistake besides moving here? Not doing the walkthrough after we left because in very VERY fine print it states "You give up all rights if you are not present on the final walkthrough.". I am currently living back in my homestate and if I can give any recommendation to anyone thinking of living here...Dont. I paid 40 more per month to live in Cool Springs and it was MORE than worth it. I lived there for 2 years and loved every minute of it. read more

If you're looking at apartment complexes in the Hermitage, I would strongly suggest that you look elsewhere. The staff in the office are unbelievably unreliable and incompetent. I signed a 6 month lease in December and was very explicit that I was signing a shorter lease because I was getting married and moving to Charleston, SC. I never received a copy of my lease, never received a notice in the mail about a 60 day written notice to vacate, and I called 30 days before I vacated asking "What all do I need to do in order to move out?" and there was no mention of a written notice to vacate. So, now I have to pay full months rent for June and July while paying new rent in Charleston. When I talked to the office staff on the phone, they were not only unhelpful, but incredibly rude to me and unwilling to sit and listen to my perspective. Not only would I suggest thinking twice about Cherry Creek, I would avoid it at all costs! You have better options in the area, steer clear of this complex and it's terrible staff. read more

I've been a resident of this community for 20 months. I'd been warned of this property management by friends. However, I'd shrugged it off as their bad experience which was never going to affect me because the staff seemed like they were great people. AFTER signing the lease the management has been singing a different tune. The staff at the lease office has no real authority. They are minions of their head office that manages the property. This company is called Apogee New Dawn. They've started implementing policies and projects that are not in the interest of the residents. They are only here to make money, and in addition even steal as much as they can. Don't fall for all the talk of how the resident's comfort is important. The management has implemented projects that do not take into account the comfort of the tenants. They are geared towards cost-cutting for themselves. For example, residents pay a fixed fee for water. They recently replaced all shower-heads with some cheap plastic contraption under the guise of conserving water. The showers are now like mist sprayers. In fact, I now have to use the tub for a bath. As such I use more water than I did before. I asked them to resolve this but they're not going to do anything about it. Why should they? They know they have me hooked on the lease for another year and I cannot leave without paying major financial penalties. They did not consider conserving energy by replacing the old electrical appliances and ancient air-conditioning with energy-saving equipment. Why should they? After all they don't pay the electrical bill. That expense is yours as a tenant. Further, they lost my rent check and when I wrote another one, they claimed that it was late and charged me a $200 penalty!!! I'm a very tolerant and easy-going person but this is unacceptable. The value of Apogee and Cherry Creek is so low that I warn you against doing business with this company. They do not have ethics. There are other properties around that have a better attitude towards the residents. If you absolutely have to rent with them, ensure that your back is covered. The lease agreement is written with only their interest in mind. Read it very carefully. Make them counter-sign everything, especially each check you pay them with. Take photos when you move in and make them sign it. They don't care about you. They care about the money you have to pay them. After that they will try to charge you at exorbitant rates all the money they can for "repairs", which is a lie in most cases. This is just so that they can make more money from you and touch-up the property for the next tenant. Outside your money, you as a resident have no value for them. read more
