After 12 years of going to Tera for my hair, and being incredibly…read moreloyal and referring many others to her, I have had questions about her rates going up and up, without notice, and being shocked nearly every time I would go to pay. I had also noticed the quality of the work on my hair (cut and color) over time not meeting my expectations but again, I am loyal and we'd spent a lot of time together. When charged for something I should not have been charged for and her canceling my appointment so she could go on vacation, I had 'the gall' to question that, and she decided to let ME go as a client, claiming she has had to 'adjust her pricing' for me. This is untrue. I've paid the exorbitant prices and frequent increases but have spoken up. If you're anything like me, steer clear.

Couldn't get two appts at the same time but staff offered to book me a complimentary private steam shower while my friend has her appt so we could arrive together. Very nice offer and the service was impressive. Upon booking staff added the service to my friend's appt booking instead of mine but when we pointed it out so kindly said she would fix it. Cons: Both arrived on time and we informed the staff of the steam shower booking that was supposed to be fixed and noted, but staff went on to say bc it was not in my account she could not provide it unless the next person didn't show up. No apology and no offer of any comp for the mix up especially since my appt was not till later. Asked her to mention the mix up to whoever scheduled us for awareness as I was very disappointed and could have arrived later. Minutes later staff said "oh the next appt is yours to my friend" then said staff showed us to the dressing area. Staff then expressed to me it was probably the owner who booked the appt and that she had no plans to tell her of the mix up bc of that. I thought just the opposite and that constructive feedback is important for awareness especially so improvements could be made. Staff explained that she now was able to allow me to use the steam shower and that we could use it at the same time. Puzzled, I explained my friend was showering in it now and probably wanted her privacy. Waited again before using the shower but if that were the case I may have just arrived later. Experience was very unsettling for me and it showed a lack of good customer service ability to problem solve in situations such as this. Understand that mix ups occur but disappointed in the way it was handled. No complaints about the service itself as this review is mostly for the front staff experience the day of arrival.

I was lulled into luxury before the scissors ever came out~ got a trim and a new bangs addition .. I loved the sensitive way she cut them, gently flowing into my very long hair ~ it falls nicely, meaning low maintenance ~excellent for a wash n go girl like me color: Troy rocked my color world! AT first he gave me a truly artful blond red highlighted look ~ that for another time would have been purrrrfection ~ it had a way of looking natural even as two shades of yellow and 1 red were added to my brown hair .... it looked so good I went home to sleep on it ...alas... I am needing much more extreme to welcome in the new year so i called up the next day and explained I had asked for and expected a lot more blond so I can paint in rainbow colors .... we worked out a great arrangement and he hooked me up with as much care and mindful skill as the first time Now I am as happy as can be ~ feeling Cherished and refreshed to meet 2021 with beauty and fun I highly recommend Be Cherished ~ great people ~ great skill + great smells in all their products
