Communication terrible at EVERY level. We were supposed to get self closing hinges with one door and they were not included. Called Sales person, John, and he advised he would pick them up and hand deliver. Well after a week of no communication, we called Punta Gorda and they advised they have them and we said we would pick up. John never did call us back. Also at the same time, they gave us the wrong Bypass Track and the time they said it would be in, they did not have it. My husband called Tyson a week later and he advised the track was in. OK so another trip to Punta Gorda and low and behold the track was the WRONG ONE AGAIN. My husband just asked for money back and they offered nothing for his total inconvenience. Stay far away! This company needs to have a total new staff that will be customer focused.

Work was supposed to begin in 4 to 6 months and its been over a year and we have heard nothing. If you call, you get an answering service--impossible to speak to anyone. It makes you wonder how many deposits they took after the hurricane that are just being ignored. Unfathomable that they could exploit so many people after the catastrophe.

We were hit with hurricane Ian last September - 2022. We sustained damage to 80% of the screens, some of the framing and the doors. They came back to fix the damage - at our expense of course - and they were also supposed to make SURE the attachment area was FINALLY fixed. The first big rain we had after the repair we had a WATERFALL COMING INTO about 25 feet of the attachment area. That was several months ago. It is now almost August of 2023. My husband has been trying to get ahold of them on a weekly to 3 times per week to get them over here to fix it. I am now completely over waiting for them to get this done. IF you use them, DO NOT give them final payment until they fix EVERYTHING they promised they would take care of.

He purchased the land in 1903 for the house from Albert Gilchrist, also a local politician who went on to become the 29th governor of Florida. Freeman owned a hardware store that also sold caskets and citrus grove. From 1896 until 1904 he served in the city government including as mayor. From 1905 to 1913 he served as DeSoto County sheriff after which he moved to California. The house was built in a Carpenter Queen Anne style in 1903 on Marion Avenue. This is the only Victorian house in Punta Gorda. In 1985 the house was moved two blocks away to Hargreaves Street where it was restored by the Medical Center Foundation. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 7, 1987. In 2005 to city moved the house to it's current Retta Esplande after Hurricane Charley in 2004. The house is owned by the City of Punta Gorda and is used by the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce and the Punta Gorda Historical Society. Currently the house is closed for major repairs and the Chamber of Commerce has moved to 2702 Tamiami Trail.

Mr. Sam Helgemo is knowledge, resourceful and an absolute specialist in real estate. He's a natural conversationalist and a humble person. We came to know Sam in our housing search and couldn't have been more pleased with him. Not only because he helped us find our home but that he delivered quality service that is few and far between. When we began to view homes, he arranged viewings in the same time frame, on our time. While viewing homes, he would always point out any benefits or pitfalls-- things we would have otherwise overlooked. We attributed this to his expertise in real estate and home restoration. He has a knack for what is fair value in the market and would jump on anything that looked overpriced and would encourage us to negotiate or would find reasonable alternatives. He embodies servant leadership-- a prime example is our move. We bought a home with Sam's help and had to make an immediate move. Our natural expectation is that we would have to find someone rather quickly to help us. However, with Sam, everything is better. He helped us move and arranged a team for us. He rolled up his sleeves with us and was there to help us get some big pieces out of our home. Never in a million year would we have thought or expected him to do this. This is by far not the norm for a realtor and it speaks loudly to his character as a human being. Also, and more importantly, he is NOT pushy. I cannot stress how important this is. He really cares about the customer and doesn't want the largest financial decision of most people's lives to be a poor one. If you had to ask us if we would use Sam again, the answer is yes. Awesome realtor to work with…read more I have to give mad props to realtor, Sam Helgemo. We went from eh kind of looking for a house to being serious about a house and we worked with him throughout the whole process. We were only kind of looking for a solid two years. Sam would send us listings but he never pushed us about anything. When we finally decided to take the plunge, we wanted to see houses all in one day while my dad was in town so he could see them too. Not only did Sam set up a ton of different listings for us to see, but when we decided to up our price point after seeing the first couple of houses he got on the phone and set up even more showings within that hour. There are a couple of reasons I can wholeheartedly recommend Sam. 1. He knows the costs of renovations. We were looking for a turnkey ready house (isn't everybody), but when there were minor or major things that we would want to change, Sam was able to ballpark how much it would cost. He is constantly renovating his own houses so he is very familiar with prices. It is extremely handy to have a realtor who can do that so you know if you're looking at a couple hundred dollars or a couple thousand dollars for the changes you want. 2. Sam is a bulldog. We had a ton of back and forth with the title company (which was chosen by the seller) and I was able to let him completely handle it and got through it relatively stress free. Sam isn't afraid to get on the phone and get answers. You want him on your side. 3. He isn't pushy. The entire process I felt like he was working with our best interest in mind. I'm always cognizant of when I'm working with people who have outside interests (e.g. commission), but that never seemed to factor in when dealing with Sam. Even after we raised our price point we still ended up going with a house that was under our max. I felt fully supported in every decision I made. I honestly don't know what else you'd want in a realtor. Sam has integrity, is knowledgeable, and he gets the job done.

Just had a load of crushed shell delivered to my residence yesterday morning…read more The salesman at your location off Gasparilla road was great and helpful as always. Knowledgeable and sharp about products. The lady that called in the morning to let me know the load would be delivered was cordial and great on the phone... Your driver , delivery man had an attitude as soon as soon as l said hello. He gave me grief on not answering my phone-several times. I asked him what the # was, he was correct with the # and l said call me... The phone immediately rang. I received the shell and all was good, l believe this gentleman needs some instruction on customer relations and a common thank you would be a nice addition in completing the job as well... Just thought you should know. Thank you, Brad W
